   I am so excited to have met you! I am really into decorating and love old furniture, just never have I ever painted before! As soon as I got home, I started my kitchen island and it looks amazing!!!!! When I get the antique wax in, I’ll finish and send pictures. I can’t wait to post it to my blog!!! Yay!!! So inspired!

   Have you seen anyone try milk paint on laminate furniture? I am going to try to do a vanity for our school fundraiser and it is made of the white laminate over particle board. The vanity was free, so I figure it is worth trying. Any suggestions you may have are readily welcomed! In your picture from Texas, is the painted metal thing painted with Luckett’s Green? It turned out great!

10. did you use white on top of lucketts green on the lyre stool (above the buckle)? what layers went into this technique. i have watched your tutorials, so understand the process you use. love this look! many thanks, karen

15. That was the most fun I have had in a long time. My Luckett’s green table looks great in my home office. I can’t wait to try some of the other colors on more items around the house. Thank you again for coming to Houston. We love you here.

       Terrific book. I just found your blog and I am in heaven. I restored a house built in 1865, a tall Italianate. There were 77 spindles in the stairway and after I had them all finished, they became my daughters punishment. I made them use paste wax and polish each one. They are in their 40’s and still hated that punishment!!!! Great read!!!

    It was a pleasure and privilege to be able to spend time with you and your mom last Saturday. It was inspiring, informative, and just plain fun! Mandie and her crew were great and it was so nice to meet all of the other talented class participants. I felt like I had not only left with information, paint, and my special tee shirt, but lots of new friends as well.

    I’ll be mailing a package soon…but now I think that I’ll have to paint something else…It’s not quite perfect!

28. I see the green/mint colored iron furnace… which is sweet looking! So, please tell me.. did you prep this piece before milk painting it, or did you just paint over the rust, if it truly was rusty. Will rust come through eventually, with time? Thank you in advance for your response. fg

29. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
    I think that you could do with some pics to drive the
    message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is magnificent blog.
    An excellent read. I will certainly be back.
