Sneak Peek – Dining Room Curtains

It was a giddy moment when my new curtains went up in my dining room this afternoon.
I still have one more panel to make and a few more finishing touches and the dining room will be done**.
The best thing about these curtains?  They look luxurious, but each panel took about 20 minutes to make and cost me only $22.00.
I even made a matching cord cozy to cover my chandelier chain and wires.
More to come…

  2. Your curtain panels are gorgeous. I'm a blue and white fan from the get-go, so you can do no wrong in this room as far as I am concerned. It's all fabulous! And the disclaimer at the end — well that's a given! Loved it!

  3. I love that fabric – saw it a while back and it was a strong contender for a chair recovering project.

    they look great!

  4. They look great! I love the colour, and I think they are really going to make that room fabulous! How exciting..
    Flick 🙂

  5. ok, that panel is seriously gorgeous! I LOVE that fabric! And I'm so glad you posted this b/c it totally reminded me that my drop cloth panels {that I finally convinced my mom to sew for me today} were in the washer! Whew, good save, they would be STINKY in the am!

  6. Could you tell me what stain color you used — I *think* I remember that you mentioned it at some point, but at the time I wasn't thinking I would need to redo my floors. But we've *finally* closed on a house that will need some refinishing, and I think it would be the perfect color for my dining/living room floors. And I can't find it anywhere!

Thanks in advance for your help!

  7. They're gorgeous! I had to click on your post when it came up on my reader, because guess what I did today? Put up new dining room curtains! (but I made mine from drop cloths. will post soon.)

  9. Beautiful! Can you do a tutorial on your cord cover? I've always wondered if there was a way to get those on after a chandelier is already wired in…

  10. I love the pattern on your curtains. We are about to move to a rental and I will want cheap ideas for "drapes" please share how you made them. I love your sight and I love that you posted all weekend:-) Thanks

  11. Oh, I love that fabric. Your dininig room is really coming together. And no of course it would never be 'finished', what would you blog about then…. 🙂

  15. I swoon! My heart skips a beat…. is something wrong with me?

I have the same fabric for my valances, the same chalkboard, the same blue and white plate. Somehow it all looks more chic in your home. Sigh.

If you lived near Wheaton, I would offer you a pretty penny to sprinkle your magic fairy dust on my home!

  16. Oh my goodness, these look fabulous and the room is magazine ready! Wow! I like the idea that you reserve the right to change things—I am forever doing that! Great job Miss Mustard.

  17. Kudos on your dining room curtains, from one who is about to sew some for her own dining room! That print is very Sarah Richardson. I hope you love her nearly as much as I do.

  18. Love the room! At one time, I also hung blue/white plates. Would you please be so kind as to share the quote on the blackboard and the horned looking thing on top? Thanks in advance.

  20. They're lovely! Great job. I just made a chandelier chain cover to match my decor, too! Blue toile in my breakfast nook. Makes it so personal.

  21. I just wanted to thank you for including the info for where you got the fabric & the cost. Your curtains are gorgeous & they inspired me to recover a pair of scroll back parsons chairs I got for free on freecycle. I ordered the same print in moss green & even got free shipping! This is going to be my next project for my blog; revampedhomefurnishings.blogspot.com check it out if you have a chance & thanks for letting me in on your great find!

  22. I am in love with your blue patterned curtains. Where can I purchase fabric? They are stunning!!
