the gray shoe cart

The days are ticking away and the Lucketts Spring Market is getting closer and closer.  Even though I am in pretty good shape, I do need to squeeze in shopping trips when I can.  So, Saturday, after my son’s soccer game, my mom and I hit an antique store to see if we could find anything.  It was a quick trip!  We were speed-walking through the aisles towards the end, but we did come away with some good stuff, including this gray-painted shoe cart…

I’ve bought and sold several shoe carts over the years and I have a couple that I use in the studio, but I’ve never had one that is tall and skinny, like this one.  It is quite a functional size – offering a lot of storage without taking up a lot of floor space.

And the gray paint is pretty awesome as well…  Chipped and worn to perfection.

It’ll be coming with me to Lucketts, along with the rest of the goodies I’ve been collecting.

Tick, tick, tick…

  1. I wish I could go. But my favorite is still the antique mail sorter! It would make a great teacup display piece!

  2. You and your mom are such ace shoppers.

The shoe rack, while much prettier, is similar to a commercial bread rack I have . You are right that this particular profile is very functional.

  3. I am wondering when/where you move to will be as rich in objects as your locale is. Keep your fingers crossed!

  4. Wow, would love town that shoe cart for my ironstone! But I live in Wisconsin so can’t come yo Lucketts! Darn.

  5. I think it’s safe to say everyone likes the shoe cart.
Just as a matter of general information would you be kind enough
to post the dimensions. It would be helpful for transporting purposes for the Lucketts
shoppers to know if it would fit in their vehicles.

Or what size U-Haul will be needed!!!!!!j
