A couple of weeks ago, I showed a more traditional, spooky black & orange fall table with black glass glitter on pumpkins, crows, pinecones and a paper bat bunting. In this setting, I wanted to show glittered pumpkins in a totally different way, so Kriste & I set up a rustic autumn table with a little glam element in the form of gold (14 Karat) and silver (Tiara) glass glittered pumpkins.
Kriste took the lead on glittering these pumpkins and opted to glitter the stems and a “starburst” sort of pattern on the top of each pumpkin. I think they turned out beautifully. (The glitter is adhered with Elmer’s school glue.)
We used live pumpkins, but this would be perfect for artificial pumpkins as well…probably even better since they can be used year after year. We also decided to try one with a mix of 14 Karat & Tiara glitter, which looked lovely.
The rest of the table is styled in golden yellows, warm wood, creamy whites and a touch of blue. The glittery pumpkins are mixed with other natural elements like oak leaves, feathers and pine cones.
The table cloth is actually a knitted throw from Target. It’s not the most practical, but the texture and color were too much to resist! I figure a good shake will dislodge crumbs and it can always be thrown into the wash, if needed.
I love the place card holders Kriste and I collaborated on. We used some berry baskets, pinecones, brown paper tags and a feather embellishment. It’s simple and pretty and can easily be moved out of the way once dinner is served.
Of course, we had to shoot the settings from every imaginable angle!
Having the studio space has been so amazing for shoots like these. There’s such a freedom that I didn’t feel at home and my home can just be my home. It’s a win-win and I hope this table gave you some ideas for Thanksgiving and other fall get-togethers!
I can’t wait to start working on Christmas projects and shoots!

Ms M you have done a great job with your warm and cozy table scape! I love the scale! That is a sure thing on my wish list. I also love pumpkins and glass, so those are spot on! Stone Mountain glass blowing artist made beautiful pumpkins this past weekend at The Country Living Fair and I could kick myself for making the decision not to buy one. Perfect table and great pictures!!
Your table looks so festive, the best part is that you have utilized the unexpected such as the throw on the table…..and that is what pulls this decorating theme together…very nice Lisa@ Sweet Tea N’ Salty Air
