A Never Ending Job

First of all, the Lisa Leonard giveaway is still going on, so make sure to enter!
I’m learning that, like mothering and household chores, keeping inventory up in a space is a never ending job.  The time is not ever going to come when it’s done and “I’m set.”  Especially because I make or find everything on my own, I can’t just order bulk.  Yesterday, I drove out to Wild Rose and Chartreuse to get my spaces filled up.  I also dropped off a load of items for the Lucketts Design House.
I was left alone in the shop for a few minutes while Lynette picked her kids up from school.  I relished the time to snap photos and “play” with all of the beautiful things in there.  I just couldn’t help moving things around!
Here’s a look at what is currently for sale.  Remember that we do ship, so let me know if you see anything you like!
I made these “Wish” and “Sweet” banners as an experiment and I love how they turned out.  More are coming as well as a tutorial.

The chalkboard is Gail’s and the buffet is Christine’s.  Doesn’t everything look like it was meant to be together?

Christine just brought in this industrial cart.  I was seriously thinking if I could get away with having this in my family room, but I don’t think it would work with two toddlers.

It is just a dream to be selling my things in these spaces.  I’ll show some picture of our Chartreuse space tomorrow and tell you a little bit more about that!
If you hadn’t heard, we are having a workshop  from 11-2 on October 23, where I will be teaching how to make my German glass glitter letters.  The cost is $30, which covers lunch from the Corner Bakery, supplies to make the letters (which you get to keep), and use of the space.  It is going to be a blast, so please send an e-mail if you would like to attend.  For those who live too far away, I will be posting a video tutorial, but it won’t include lunch or supplies!

  4. I can't believe ya'll are selling those music cones for only 50 cents!! You can't buy a gift bag for that price… I need to live closer! LOL.

  5. Phew, I finally got caught up on reading your blog. Woman you wrack!! You get so much done and then even share with us how you manage to get so much done.
You have made some beautiful things again and your business is really rocking the boat!
HGTV!!! Way to go. I am so proud to be your bloggy friend, hopefully some of your talent, energy and business wits will rub off on me.
    Love ye!

  6. It all looks so pretty! I have a friend who has one of those "industrial carts" (they are actually old luggage carts that the railroad stops used). She has 4 kids, two are under 3 and she loves having this cart as a coffee table. They are heavy, so its hard for the kids to move, which is good. Also, because they are old and naturally distressed, when the kids bang toys on them, it doesn't hurt it just adds to the natural look. Yes, you do have to be careful what you put on them, but they do learn eventually. 🙂 I say go for it, it would look fabulous in your house!

  7. How fabulous for you that you get to play in these spaces. I bet it is an amazing job.
You also remind me..of me. I see something for the house and think–will it survive two toddlers? Frequently I say no but one day!

    Thanks for the lovely photos.

  8. I'm just about glad your store is that far away. I think I would go mad buying everything in sight! You gals make the perfect dream team! 🙂

The buffet… oh my word. I'd give up a beloved crusty old palette for that!

  9. Your shop is one I would love to go to! I wish you all the best for much success. It is adorable. I love how all of your things mesh together with serendipity and great results!

  10. Oh, I do love your store…I did not see my favorite stool from your sept. 21 post. Is it still available? If so, how much would shipping be???
    Thanks,

  11. Everything looks so gorgeous!

That buffet in the first photo is to die for! I have one very similar in my garage right now. I am thinking a bout keeping it for myself. I wasn't going to paint it, but it would look gret in SW Creamy

Oh how I love strolling through you space…

  12. I'll look forward to the video tutorial. Thanks for thinking of your far-away fans. The glitter letters are so beautiful I can't wait to know how you do them.

I love the second picture in this post as well; the one with the mirror on the floor. I've recently discovered that taking pictures of mirrors is such a pain in the neck. Great job on you picture though. Maybe you could give us a post with hints for taking good mirror photos sometime too.

  13. Everything looks fabulous. Love the banners! Perfect! And the green pumpkins are TDF!!! Oh and that industrial cart is one of my favs as well!!
    Enjoy!

  14. I have one of those industrial carts as a coffee table and love it! Think you are smart to wait a while with kids….my husband bumped his shin badly!

Dying to come see your shop in person sometime!

  15. I SO MUCH love pretty much everything you showed today! It's probably good I don't live any closer to your shop or my budget would be in grave danger. But I did particularly love the wooden A-Treat soda crate…because I love A-Treat soda AND it says Allentown, which is so close to my home! 🙂

  16. That cart is amazing, as are a lot of your things. Today what really caught my eye is the framed chalkboard. I recently picked up an old mini school chalkboard, one of the little green ones with the lines for writing, and I've been considering framing it. Now I'm convinced that's the way to go.

  17. I have a question for you–do you have a source for your chipboard letters that you glitter. I did a google search and was wading through too much info. Thanks. No, I haven't thought to look in my local craft stores.

  18. I'm practically drooling over your pictures. You have NO idea how I wish I were close enough to stroll your space, wherever you set up shop. That industrial cart would be mine in a heartbeat. I know – you ship – but I live in WA State and I'm pretty sure that would NOT work out. SO lovely. Don't stop posting…I'd have to figure out something else to dream about and I'm quite happy with your stuff. 🙂

  19. It looks amazing. I have told one of your partners that next time I head up to VA for my auction I will have to swing by that way so I can see the store. And you are right- when you think you have filled the space – it has already sold. Your space is doing much better than mine..I am giving it time though.
