Are you sick of me showing all of the wonderful things I found (and got to keep) from my grandparent’s attic? Well, I’m not, so here are some more lovelies… Isn’t this vintage Christmas ornament so cute? I love how the little bird is peeking out of her tinsel net. We found about 10 intact vintage glass ornaments.

Very touching. Thank you for taking the time to share all of your wonderful treasures. The two of you remind me of my mother and me. Glad you enjoy your time together. Very special.
Please keep sharing your finds. I love it. The little ornament is so precious and so are the other items. But, what I really love is the photos of your grandmothers. They are just priceless and look like lovely vintage paintings. What keepsakes!
What a heritage to leave to your own children. I don't have any relative's attics to look in so I enjoy looking at what you've found in yours.
Hey, after all the work you did to clear out that attic, you deserve every wonderful thing you find! Of course we're still jealous, but that's our problem. ;o) You come from a family of lovely women.
How wonderful all these treasures are…I have quite a lot of "stuff" in MY attic that I hope some grands will enjoy…also a closet with boxed treasures for them.
Your g-grandmother was beautiful !!
When you have time, you should start working on a post of all your DIY projects throughout 2009..and join Southern Hospitality's PROJECTS OF 2009….you should have a TON of them!!
hugs, bj

These are wonderful! Tired of seeing them? Never! I love everything you've showed us. So much history here from the books to the letters to your family's pictures. The pictures are fantastic. I think I would definitely frame those up myself.

What amazing treasures! I love anything with family history.
What a treat this little adventure must have been! And to share it with your mother. Cherished time.

please keep sharing. Things I have been given of my grandmothers are among my post treasure items. A vintage grandmother's garden quilt, vintage purses, some vintage jewelry, some old little music books, and a 5 gallon pickle quart and a little ceramic egg jar that they used to beat eggs in. Divine. I adore the vintage ornament the most… and the scrabble letters.
Thanks for sharing!
and your great mother was beautiful!
oops what I meant was {most treasured} not post treasure! typo! 🙂
What a beautiful post. I'm so enjoying them all! Not tired of them at all but perhaps a little bit jealous! 🙂
i'm so jealous.
i am positive that if i got to clean out my grandparents attic, all i would find is polyester dresses and moth-eaten quilts.
i love seeing all of the treasures you found…
These posts are sooo amazing, WOW.
What a great post. Your G-Grandmother was very beautiful! My Grandmother still did her own work well into her 80's. I think that generation just worked so hard all their lives, that it kept them going!
I really hope that there are tons of things to show us….I love it all..smiles.
I think one could build an entire blog simply on things they find in attics! I'm spellbound with what you're surfacing.
Sick of it? Never! I hope you have more to share. 🙂

Ohhh such lovely and meaningful finds! I just love the photo of your great grandma with her mother. It reminds me of a John Singer Sargent painting… wow… Dee dee
Hey Miss M,
I've got the little car that rides on that wooden tractor trailer in case you want it. You and your brother used to play with it in Germany. It came from a toy store in Weiden, Germany near the Czech border about 1976.
