Well, it seems like an entire stash of antique doors is just not enough for me.
I had to buy one more today while I was out at yard sales today. I picked up this split barn door (hardware and cobwebs included) for $5.00.
It is going to make a perfect closet door for my guest room. Oh, my poor, poor hubby.
I also picked up an oar for a song. It’s a little rough, but I am planning to sand down the blonde finish and put a rich coat of dark walnut on it.
I sold a vintage metal tool box almost exactly like this at Lucketts, so I jumped at the chance to buy another. I love the color and chippy paint.
I also found a couple more aqua beverage crates like one I sold at Lucketts.
And one of my favorite finds of the day was this vintage dairy box. I’ve wanted one for a long time and finally found one at a price I could afford. I can’t wait to share what I’m doing with it.
Tonight I sewed a set of curtain panels for my dining room and I have loads of things that need my attention, so I’ll have a lot of new things to blog about over the next couple of weeks.

I'm a new follower! Love your blog, you're so creative and your photos are incredible!
So that's a dairy box. I saw one of those today while I was doing yard sales. What's considered a good price on those?
I bought a dairy box for $1 six years ago. I use it to hold diapers, it's kind of like milk, I mean they're both white, right?
Wow, you found some great stuff!! I need to go where you go! 🙂
Awesome finds! The door is my favorite!!!
Don't you just love a great find!
Great finds! I love the door and especially the vintage dairy box! ~Perfect~

I think your hubby should be happy you only spent $5 on that split barn door;o)
That oar looks amazing.

Enjoy your weekend!

You are the thrifting queen. Around these parts I have never ever seen anything like these pieces turn up at a brocante sale. Ah well, I guess I have the real French stuff and you have the rustic farm house stuff. Might be a fair deal after all (if only we could switch some of the time…)
You certainly do have the "gift" when it comes to finding great things at yard sales! I can't wait to see the door put to use.
I love all of your finds!! Great stuff.
Great finds. I can't wait to see what you do with all of them. Hugs, Marty
I've been on the lookout for the perfect old door(s) that a client wants me to make a dining room table out of. And you're having all the luck!! 😉 Happy 4th to you and your family!
Your show and tell posts are so inspiring. 🙂 Drool worthy doors for certain!
I'm just curious… where do you 'store' your finds? You always seem to have room for one more. I'd love to see a post sometime tackling that 'issue'. 🙂 (perhaps it's just my issue??)

Great finds!! Can't wait to see what you do with those old barn doors, I'm sure they are going to look so neat! 🙂
Love the door and oar!! Is that Smith tin going to be for sale? It is my sisters married name!

Sigh. . . I love that red door. I've been looking for something like that to put on top of some metal table legs I found. I guess I'll just keep looking. Can't wait to see what you do with your door.
Great finds! You must have tons of storage for all your treasure hunting!

What wonderful finds. I didn't see any yard sale signs this weekend–lucky you.
All the good and cheap vintage and antique pieces are on the east coast! LOL You find beautiful things.
