There’s a lot I want to say. A lot of thank you’s for all of your words, prayers, stories, information and encouragement. Yesterday was rough, but today was much better. I cleaned the house and went to the grocery store and did things that were routine and made me feel a bit more in control of things. A clean house is relaxing and therapeutic to me and somehow rolling up my sleeves and doing something helps me work through tough times. I do want to share more about how we’re doing, but not today. Later. Today I just want to get back to normal a little bit. (If you have no clue what I’m talking about, read this post.)
So today, I’m going to give a mini tour of my home. There’s been a lot of confusion as I’ve been posting about my new sofa and then showing pictures of a living room with that new sofa absent. So, let me explain our house, so you can understand the flow.
Our house is a 1940’s 1 1/2 story cape cod with an addition that was put on around 2005. When you walk in the front door, you’re in the original 1940’s living room. My dental cabinet is straight ahead…
…the living room is on the left…
…and the dining room is on the right…
These are the rooms I use most often for my photo shoots, because they’re my “pretty rooms.” We do use them some, but not much for everyday things. For that reason, I can be a bit more impractical (like using the antique cane chairs as seating in the living room) and the rooms are a lot tidier than the rest of the house, which also makes them easier to photograph.
The living and dining room are connected with a large arch.
Through an archway in the dining room is the home office. It was the original 1940’s kitchen. When we first moved in, there were linoleum floors, a refrigerator and a gas pipe sticking out of the floor that went to the stove. Plywood covered the floors where the cabinetry was. This room was a mess and basically a glorified hallway. So, we installed wood floors and made the built-ins custom for the space to make it a home office/”landing room” for shoes, backpacks, coats, etc.
Through the office is the new kitchen… (that doorway was the 1940’s back door!)
(I’m planning to make a pillow out of that coral toile sitting on the chair to tie in with the rug.) The kitchen is a galley style that opens into the family room. (Yep, I still need to paint that bar stool!)
This is where the new sofa, our TV, comfy chairs, Legos, my “blogging desk”, etc. are located. This is where we play, wrestle, eat, exercise, put up our feet and hang out. This is where we are most of our waking hours. The room still looks a little naked, because I took everything off the walls and we’re going to install 3/4 height wainscoting. It’s almost finished, but not yet.
And, as a little bonus in the tour, you can see our master bedroom is through the door behind the sofa in the family room. The master suite is also a part of the addition.
I hope that brings clarity to some. And, if you weren’t confused, I hope you enjoyed the partial house tour anyway. (I always like a good house tour!)

Very lovely 🙂
So glad you could have a “normal” day today. And thanks for the tour — it did help to put all the gorgeousness in a visual flow for us.
Fabulous!!! I was just thinking about your home’s layout the other day, wishing that I could see the floorplan! Spooky, I know. 😉 The tour is perfect, and everything looks so fantastic. I love how you are editing, it’s a treat to see how everything flows so beautifully. And I’m glad you are doing better today, too. Take care…
I love it! All of it!
Can you tell me where your master bed is from? I’ve been searching for something I love and yours just might be it!
She got it on sale from Restoration Hardware.
Love your house? Where did you get the living/dining room curtain rods?
Love your house. Period. Lol
LOL
Thank you for the wonderful tour. As always, i enjoy seeing your beautiful and always warm and welcoming home. That is why you are so special to all of us.
You have been so kind to let us into your home and life. So it is our turn to offer our hearts and help to you. Please reach out and let us know if you need anything. Big hug to you and your family,
Sharon
Beautiful rooms and oh so organized Marian! Love how you used dressers for side tables and your T.V. stand. Looks like a cozy and comfortable place to live–Thanks for sharing!
Love!
That was fun! And you know what? In my mind’s eye, I had your home layout almost completely reversed. When my sister moved cross country, I had her send pictures of every room so I could picture where she ate, watched tv and talked to me on the phone!
Your home is so gorgeous The leather sofa looks amazing with your other things, it’s absolutely beautiful. I’m glad today was a better day. Your family is in my prayers..
I love it!!! And I’d love to see a floor plan! We too have a cape cod… And we’re in desperate need of a kitchen makeover… The original kitchen is still here and the house was built in the 50’s. I’m trying to think outside the box before just remodeling the space without adding any square footage. You are my sole inspiration!
Thanks for clearing that up! I didn’t write, but I was confused. It all looks beautiful!
What a lovely and cozy, comfy looking home! I thoroughly enjoyed the house tour. It’s always fun to see the different layouts and the way things are decorated.
I am praying for your little one too!
Blessings,
Sue
I love the way the house flows. Beautiful!
I came over from Facebook because the picture posted there is of your office. My first thought was “how did my office get posted here?” because I have a very similar desk area. It’s so wonderful being able to look out the windows while I’m working. I must say though, your desk is so much cleaner! You have a very beautiful home. I read your previous post and am sending thoughts & prayers for your family.
I love your home!! It is so cozy! We are going to put in hard wood flooring soon and I’ve been considering flooring like your front entry. I know someone that has similar flooring and they say it is a nightmare because the dark colors show ever bit of dust and/or foot prints. Do you find that to be a problem with your dark wood floors?
I’m not sure about MMS, but I have a friend who has them that says yes they show everything. She got a Roomba (spelling?) the little robot vacuum that is programmed to do her floors. Hers always look nice but, she doesn’t have children and the bedrooms, stairs, and upstairs is carpet. Mine are not dark or light, and hide a lot! lol
You have a beautiful place! I just love your taste!
Thanks for letting us visit 🙂
Thanks for letting the tour your beautiful home.
Glad today was a better day.
Thank you for the tour of your lovely home. It is beautiful.
Lovely home!
I have looked all through your blog, as much as possible, and I can’t find the posts about the sea grass rugs or whatever they are called.
I thought I remember you reading about one of them being softer then another, but can’t remember any of the details.
Thanks for your help,
Deb CLaytor
Would you mind sharing who made your bed frame and where you purchased it? I love your home home. You are very talented. Thank you for inviting us in!
that actually helped a lot
❤
Ahhhhh…. Now I see ! Thanks for the tour!
Your home is beautifully cozy. I always enjoy seeing photos of your home.
Marian, I just love your blog and your home–so beautiful. Thank you for sharing the photos and the how to’s of making your house a home. It is fun to see exactly how the layout of your first floor is–please share your stairway and upstairs if you would. And prayers for your son and your family as you begin this journey with him and diabetes. He and you must be scared and upset, but medicine has come leaps and bounds with the treatment and education of diabetes…
I had pictured your office being at the back of your house and I did not realize you had vaulted ceilings in your family room. So this mini house tour was very helpful. No matter how your home is laid out, it is beautiful. You and your home are an inspiration to us. Sending love and prayers your way.
Funny…I’ve been reading your blog for a year and never realized the family room was vaulted! That makes it feel much more spacious. Thanks for the tour, it helps the floorplan in my head. Your cozy cape cod reminds my of my old house, but your addition adds the square feet needed for a growing family! Love your cool, crisp color scheme.
Our house also is a 1940 cape cod with an addition. Two additions in fact. We have pretty arches separating rooms as well. I love that we get a little modernity with the addition in the kitchen–our kitchen is enormous for the neighborhood–but we still have the old elements to add character.
Your home is much more beautiful inside. Maybe one day we’ll be able to really do some work!
Hi there – I’m a dude who follows your blog (based on comments doesn’t seem to be many of us, but that’s cool)….we have young boys in the house (5 and 2)…so my question to you: a) how old are you children? b) was there a point in your life when the kids were younger that you basically said “forget this, they’re just going to wreck it/break it/get hurt by it”. I ask b/c I really like many of the things you make/collect but look at them and think there’s no way some of them will last a month in my house. (maybe we are bad parents? 🙂
thanks
jk
I don’t think you can be a bad parent, just being practice. I’ve read some of the blogs and realised that the seat covers are all washable which helps and Lego is hidden behind those. East idyl cabinets. Don’t forget if you’ve pai ted something once, you can pai t it again.
Jason,
Thanks for showing me I’m not the only guy checking out the “home” sites. I used to have kids running around the house and now it is 4 little Shih Tzus making themselves comfy. Your kids zone right now is closer to the floorwork with that.
Your 5 year old is at a great age to be a “helper” and he can lead the 2 year old. Make it fun to pick up. What fun ages.
rick
Ohhhhhhhh… that was cool! Now i can really see the whole picture. It also shows me how totally perfect the leather sofa is for the family room! You did a great job of showing the pics and explaining the space. Not many people can really pull that off in a way that i can understand. I totally love how down to earth you are about the whole thing too, with your “pretty spaces” and your “living spaces” . What an adorable house, each space flows so perfectly into the next space. I love the wonderful arched doorways, and more than that, i love that you have not painted that last bench yet… and that’s from someone with 4 small cans of half opened paint sitting on her kitchen counter… smile…
Cindy
Thank you for the house tour, I don’t think I have seen your lovely collection of plates above the TV before…I have been thinking of doing that very thing in our living room. You have been thought of today.
I’m glad you had a more normalish day today. Thank you for the partial house tour – I could totally follow you from room to room. Blessings to you and your family.
I’m so glad you posted the tour because it cleared things up a bit for me. I love your home and your style Marian. You have really inspired me, I just bought your book too, and love it! I have never had a blue and white theme in my home but am seriously thinking about it now. Marian, if you have a chance can you let me know what paint and color you used on your little white cabinet that has the two boxwood with ribbon wreaths hanging on the glass doors. I love the shade and want to copy you lol.
Take care and will continue to pray for your dear family.
Teresa
Magazine Your Home
Love your home…..Your family is in my prayers…..
I love this! It made things much more clean. I always knew they were separate rooms, but it helped to understand how they all went together. 🙂 Thanks!
Seriously, love your home! It’s so beautiful and not over the top, everything is so easy going without being obnoxious. Such a gorgeous home, thank you for letting us in 🙂
It’s just beautiful Marian. Have you ever shown us your boys room? I love to see kids rooms and I wonder how you’ve ‘mustard seeded’ it.!
Your little lad will be fine with strong intelligent parents like you. It’ll be a learning curve but I’m sure you can take it all in your stride. You’re in my prayers.
Your house looks beautiful. I understand about how keeping busy can make When my sweet 3 year old developmentally disabled son was diagnosed with diabetes, I remember sitting in Children’s Hospital ER holding him a little too tight, tearing up and telling the ER physician that I knew that this sweet little boy of mine was just too good to be true. That ER doctor wisely replied without missing a beat “…….and he still is!” It was so easy in the darkness of pain and loss to forget that. I know that the faith and courage that you showed in yesterday’s post with His help will see you through these tougher times. God’s blessings to you and yours!
Thanks for the house tour! Everything looks just right to me!
<3 Maggie
Thank you for the tour. It’s all so lovely!
It’s all beautiful!
Thanks for sharing !!! I always love to understand the flow. I know you know this because you allow God’s control in your life but it will be okay. I’m an NP and know that having caring parents who take the diagnosis seriously but in stride have the kids who do the best. I have a dear friend whose grown son has juvenile diabetes and recently her daughter’s young son was diagnosed. The parents are the key to the kids having a normal life and adjusting well. I have no doubt that you all will be just fine with God’s grace. Love you Marion !
Love the house tour and the open flow of your home. Love you and praying for you as always. Even if your son were not ill, we’d still pray for you. Your success is HIS success. Thank you for sharing. It is braver than you know to allow yourself to openly share your vulnerability. You continue to inspire me on so many levels.
Thought about you and prayed for you yesterday. Glad you were able to do some things that helped you deal with all that is going on. God will give you wisdom and lead you all into a routine in dealing with a new normal.
Thank you for taking the time to invite us over today.
Your warm and welcoming home is a reflection of your heart. <3

Thanks for sharing! Cozy and inviting.
Can tell it is a loving home.
One more reminder: that little guy is taking is clue on how to respond to this news and illness from you, Dad, and those around him. Get it together! You are being observed, BIG TIME!!!!
I will tour your home anytime! 🙂 So pretty. Thanks for sharing the layout.
Looks lovely; it is nice to see how the rooms flow :-). Glad you had a better day ..
Loved the tour! I have wondered about the way the house flows, makes much more sense now…thank you! Remember, just take it one day at a time, you can do this! Sending love and prayers!
Ohhh… that tour tickled me! I love everything. The mirror is beautiful between the windows.
The floors are gorgeous. They expand the house.
We, too, live in a cape cod. hmm…. I must try your ideas.
Thanks for sharing.
Good Morning!
THANK YOU! See…3 months ago we moved into a cute 1941 cape cod and are in the midst of trying to figure out how we are going to reconstruct the space for our family of 4. Currently, we are downstairs and our two boys are upstairs (I’m assuming that’s the case for your little munchkins, too). We have a detached garage…
I know this is a lot to ask….but I have been searching and searching for original flooplans…various ways these cute cape cods are set up…is there any way you could send me a very rough drawing of how your home’s floorplan? I don’t mean to intrude, but there are so many things I like how your home is set up, but I’m having a hard time figuring out the complete flow. If not, I totally understand, but it would really help.
Thanks so much!
Your home is absolutely beautiful and I cannot tell you how much I’ve continued to enjoy it year after year ;o)
Tootles,
Jen
Thank you so much for opening your home to us. I would love to have an older home, but I do not want more than one level. Maybe after my kids are grown.
On a personal note, you and your family are in my prayers as you help your sweet boy learn to navigate his new normal. Transitions can be hard for little folks, but I pray God’s peace and favor on you all.
Love the ceiling height in your family room! A lovely home, so inspiring and welcoming.
Thanks so much for that tour! It was great to see it at other angles and how it all flows. Had no idea the master bdrm was on the 1st floor! What is the square footage of your home? I looks HUGE! I too live in a 1940’s cape cod, love the character but with all the angles and low ceilings it makes it hard to have many accent pieces of furniture and of course closet space! Anyways, hope all is well and thank you for continuing to inspire!
Loved the home tour I always enjoy, looking at your lovely home , glad your mentally feeling better , I cried when I read your post about your son having diebeties , it’s so hard whenourbabies get dinoticed with a major illness , but I’m praying for you and your family
I just read your post about your son, I see that you already have 466 comments to read through… you story hits close to home. When my younger brother was 6, he was diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes… then another brother at age 5, and another at age 3! My sister was diagnosed with type 1 also, but at age 29 (kinda rare) so needless to say, it runs in my family! It’s something I grew up with and it affected our whole family. But I can tell you that in the long run, the affects were much more positive than negative. Hang in there, you have a special little boy.
Your house is gorgeous…. I love, love, love everything about it…… Can you please come and redecorate my whole house please 🙂
Thank you for sharing your life, your talent, and your home with us! I look forward to it everyday!
Big hugs, Candace
Love your house thanks for the tour , I always like to see how other people live .Your house looks warm and inviting.
I have a question about all this Ironstone I’m seeing on blogs. Is there a mark on the bottom to distingish it from another or can you tell by the design? I’m stumped!!
Notice sisal rugs, how do they hold up to kids, pets and stains. Love the look but are they hard to maintain?
Hi Jo
Sorry to chime in (obviously I’m not Marian) though I have sisal rugs in my entry, master bedroom and home office nook. Compared to my grey plushpile carpet (which I kinda hate) they are a dream. The chunky texture and colour variation makes them very liveable (and I have tow kids – 2 years and 9 months – and a dog, oh, and one messy husband!).
I vacuum frequently, though they always look clean and neat and they add such lovely natural texture to my spaces.
Kristine
You are an excellent tour guide…beautiful home…fun to see and ‘hear’ your descriptions…thank you!
Would you mind telling me where your cow pictures came from and if they can be bought or where they designed for you. I let a great cow oil painting slip away from me that I saw at our local antique store I kick my self every day. That happens to me a lot. Thank you love your blog
Go to top of the blog under FAQs the answer is there plus she has a blog post on name that cow.
A good house tour is what makes HFTV SO POPULAR.
Love YOU, love your HEART, love your MEN COLLECTION,
Love your home!
God be with you & may you KNOW HIS
PRESENCE!
Thank you so much for the tour. Your blog inspires me. You are doing an amazing job!
I always love seeing your wonderful home and the changes you make. Your talent amazes me.
I am sending you hugs and prayers. God is there to help you and your family through this transition of learning what to do to for your son’s care. Just remember to breathe. You will make it work as you always do….I just know in my inner self you will!
Marian — thank you so much for the suggestion on using chalk paint to re-do my dated bathroom cupboards (vs your milk paint)! I am set to do this, gulp, this weekend! I also wanted to let you know that I am one of the weird type 1 adults…I was dx at 37. I put off getting an insulin pump for almost 7 years but it was the best decision I’ve ever made. Diabetes is tough but having my Medtronic pump allows me to not think about it every second of the day! If that’s possible for your boy…don’t put it off! Love to your whole family…
Hi Marian,
Your house is beautiful as always! That one pic has a sliver of your staircase, and I’d love to see what you’ve done with it!
Praying for you and yours. <3
Melissa
Love your house and all of your projects! I have a cabinet that I want to paint. Can you tell me which combination of paint colors/wax colors you would use to best replicate the finish on this cabinet? https://www.jossandmain.com/Paula-Deen-Home-Orleans-Display-Cabinet-in-Spanish-Moss~PDH2040~E8847.html I would definitely use the bonding agent because I don’t want any chipping on this particular piece.
Thanks for the home tour Marian! Now it all makes sense … and it’s lovely!
Thanks for the tour, Marian!
Hope this helped you a bit get more or less back to the normal.
As in “normal” – I enjoyed the tour – Love it!
Enjoyed the tour! Your home is beautiful. Where did you get all of the rugs? Specifically I’m talking about the one’s under the kitchen and dining tables, and also the one’s in the family and living rooms. They all look alike, are they? What are they called and where can I get one? Thanks so much! 🙂
I think are the most real and lovely person. I bought your book and love it. Today blog show your tv I have never found in any book or magazine a picture of someone tv. I love how help people with real homes and not some unrealistic place that is for show and not really living. Thank you again
I am dying to see the boys room!
My prayers are with you and your family…..cant even begin to know what you are going through but i must say you are doing great. Your little boy will grow up and have an amazing life.
Thank you so much for the tour of your home, love it. believe me if our town had an older section that was nice i would be there. love vintage homes the addition was very well done. Love that little office cozy and not removed from all of the action.
Love your blog, hang in there……
Very much enjoyed the tour, especially where you explained where things were in relation to another room!
Somehow this tour really made your home come alive….love the arches…I have some too.
Love the bedroom and the family room….they look different and more “homey” in these pictures. Thanks for sharing your life, your challenges and your feelings……hope all is going well with your boy.
Marian, I’m praying for your family as you begin another journey with your precious 5 year old. Your faith will get you through and prayers are an extra bonus. Love your home!!!!!
Marian, love your home and the tour. What do you hang your beautiful stoneware plates with? My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Thanks, Kathy
You are one very strong and faitfilled girl, Little Miss Mustard Seed. God bless your sons, your hubby and you! You all have much to do in God’s world right here on earth.
Thank you so much for the tour; you have made a truly beautiful home. And I SO envy you your addition! We have the “before” version built in 1920.
Y’all are in my prayers.
Marion,
I want to thank you for letting us into your life- sharing your boy’s diabetes diagnosis with all your cyber friends couldn’t have been easy, but now at least you know that you have hundreds of friends pulling for your family.
Whenever I pass by your box wood wreath, my thoughts turn to you and to this particularly hard time you are facing, and then I send a million prayers for your family.
And having a tour of your house was a wonderful diversion! Every room looks filled with warmth and peace..
Love this and LOVE the new sofa 🙂
Beautiful! I love those archways!
Thanks for keeping life “real”!!! Your home always looks perfect in pics… But I REALLY love that you have a kitchen stool that needed to be refinished yet! We moved into a much larger home than our last about four months ago… I’m a big DIY kind of girl and things take time to complete the look… And ( hee, hee) shinny things, or squirrel can distract me very easily! So with that being said, I have two of the four stools finished at our kitchen counter. 🙂
Love your style in decorating and how you just try on diy projects and they turn out pretty awesome!!! … sometimes not perfect, but life’s not perfect either. 🙂
Ooh he, yes, now I get it. You have an incredible home, I love the floor plan. Thanks for showing it. God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you as you learn to navigate the ins and outs of caring for a diabetic child. You will do well and continue to be an inspiration to others as you go through this. Kathy
Thank you so much for opening your home to us. How gracious of you to do that. I always love seeing the house tour because it puts everything in perspective. It helps to understand the layout and where everything is and how it’s connected.
You have done an amazing job! It is just beautiful. So warm, inviting and so soothing and peaceful looking. i always felt a home is suppose to be a “safe place” for all those living in it. A place to feel safe secure and “tucked in” and yours does -tenfold!
You and yours are in my prayers.
Thank you again!
Wow, you have a lot of space! Love seeing the flow, and the rooms from different angles. Just lovely. And how nice to have a “pretty” living room, now it makes sense seeing how big the family room is. Btw, what paint colors have you used? Particularly for the office?
I’m in love with your house and your decorating style and its funny because blue is not my favorite color to decorate but when I see your house I want to start changing everything in my apartment to blue…LOL. I absolutely love your new Potery Barn sofa now that’s my kind of color and I understand everything you did to save money to buy it. God Bless you and your family! Looking and reading your blog has keep me going this past year the days I was feeling so depressed that did not want to get up looking at the great ideas in your blog inspire me to try things in my house.
Thank you for opening your home to us via the photo tour, I really admire the cohesive aesthetic present throughout your home – an obvious preference for colors, patterns, etc. but using them in the right doses so that each room in the house is unique.
Also just wanted to mention that my sister has had juvenile diabetes since age 8… she is 30 now… there have been many medical advances that have allowed her to live such a ‘normal’ life that I hardly remember sometimes that she is even diabetic. Of course, for her it is a constant presence in her life and I know she can be annoyed by the limitations that it does impose at times, but I think she would agree with me that her quality of life has not greatly suffered. Actually she is one of the happiest people I know. I hope this might provide you some comfort as you and your family navigate this new territory in your lives.
Your house is beautiful. Hang in there, you will adapt to the ‘new normal’. I have diabetes myself (type 2) my own fault. I should have listened to the Dr. when she said exercise and lose weight, etc…oh well….you can help your son make good decisions and learn to manage it so he doesn’t have a huge impact on his life as he becomes used to it and adapts himself…take care, Sally
Marian, home is beautiful God had has blessed your family and you in many special ways. Just as that mustard seed can move mountains, you will get through this new chapter of your life with your precious son. You have a lot of support out here and prayers of many. Remember God does not give us more that what we can bear, a reason for all trials in our lives, but just trust God, he really knows what he is doing, we don’t always understand, but yes with the faith like the mustard seed, it become clear. God Bless, My Love to you and all your family…from the OC
Linda.
Now I understand the flow of your home! Great Floorplan! Your decorating style is very comfortable and I love the cohesive flow through the house! Your new sofa is beautiful and I just love the color. The round table at the end of the sofa is great. I wish I had one! If I may ask one question please, how do you hang all your plates? Thank you for your tour!
Squeal! I loved the tour. Thank you for sharing it with us. Big Hugs!!
Ohhhh….that makes things so much clearer. I have a great visual in my head now of your floor plan. And so the boy’s bedroom is upstairs. Love your home.
(Continuing prayers for your son).
love love love, the paper in the bedroom. and the rug.
I love house tours, thanks so much.
take it easy and take care. Life will get so much easier.
we all find a way to adjust and live with what is thrown at us.
lisa
Marian,
Thanks for the tour! I also love the flow of your house. It’s amazing how some cleaning can bring a bit of piece of mind.
I noticed the long counter in your kitchen that leads to your family room. What an excellent prep space! Do you use it as a breakfast/homework bar? Also how do you keep that area clear of clutter? I would send you a picture of my island but you might faint due to crazy piles of paper. 😉
Have a lovely day!
Thank you SO much for this tour! I was having a hard time imagining how all your rooms fit together — and this cleared it all up. Love the flow!!
I know in past posts you have said you hang platters with command strips right? Do you use Velcro ones, or hooks or what? I’m afraid to try till I know how it works.
BTW,if you put the untainted stool between the other 2 you can say it is for contrast! Lol
Hi Marian,
I have followed your blog for a couple of years, and love the transformation your home has taken over that time. I still need to try some of your chalk paint. Really enjoyed the tour.
Thank you
Your home is beautiful!
wow, that really did clarify things in my mind…thank you! It makes more sense to me now, and I can appreciate it better.
Ooooooh…..now I get it. You family room is much larger than I thought and I didnt realize it was open to the kitchen. Thanks for the tour! Beautiful
Marian,
I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to share your home and your lives with us! You (as well as a couple of ladies you know) have given me the courage to step out and truly embrace the look I’ve always loved.
Once again thank you!
So, sorry for your son’s diagnosis may you find your peaceful place, your courage and find JOY in all you do … this will get you and your family through this … prayers for all of you. You have taken on all of these adventures, new ideas, shows, and everything else in your life … YOU can handle this, too!!! And, your little one seems so brave.
2nd floor please … I love house tours. Thanks for posting pictures.
I found your blog via a picture on pintrest, and just wanted to say hello and beautiful home! I have a 1000 sq foot house built in 1945, and I’ve got the same arch way from my kitchen to livingroom. Wasn’t sure if it was an original feature or something added on later. Love to see that it is in your home as well!
Beautiful home–inviting and warm yet creative and attractive. I love your blog and have followed you for a few months and I wish that I knew about you before. I love your realness and your sincere personality. Every time I read your blog I feel like we are neighbors and I could talk hours with you. I absolutely LOVE your decorating style and I love that you can make a normal American home look like a designer retreat. I especially liked the Lego collection that was stashed on a bottom shelf in one of your pictures a few weeks ago.
May the Lord bless you with your son. My husband has diabetes and so I know the adventure you are embarking on and can empathize with how overwhelming it feels. Life can still be wonderful — thank you for making my days happy with your talents.
J’adore, tout est romantique, dans des tons très doux.
Je te souhaite une agréable soirée.
Amitiés de France
Curious as to how tall your ceilings are. I have not quiet 8′ and am finding it very challenging to make it open and airy feeling. Any suggestions?
Also, am praying for your son. ‘Every good and perfect gift are from above”. He already knows the situation and outcome and I pray that He will be glorified through this challenging time.
