I typically post my previews a few days ahead of an original art sale, but May has been so busy that this sale snuck up

Before I share my Lucketts recap, I wanted to let you know my next original art sale is Wednesday, May 20, 20206, at 1:00 pm Eastern. For those interested in early access at noon, you can sign up HERE. On Thursday night, we packed our van with oil painting supplies,

I’ve reached that tipping point in my life where I feel like I probably have enough stuff. No doubt, I passed that point years ago, but hunting for antiques and just the right piece for my house is still so much fun! I have noticed I walk out of more

Blue and white is classic and beautiful and reminds me of my mom who loved to decorate in those colors. These are gorgeous images Marian, such a pretty post..
Great start to my morning…viewing your beautiful photography and decor. Inspiration, pure inspiration.
What a simple and beautiful post. Great photos.

So beautiful, Marion. Well done!!
Blue and white is classic.
My wife’s set is on display in the diningroom china cabinet and adds so much. Her set is the Liberty Blue Ironstone set she got as a graduation present from her mom.

Sometimes less is more…and what’s the other saying??? Pictures speak a thousand words…
You are a class act Marion. What I don’t understand is how you make everything you do look so easy.
Come ON!!! That is way too much blue + white heaven! Meanwhile, it inspires me to go ahead + do the hanging plates somewhere in our Dutch colonial! Think: blue + white against navy or dark gray walls!
P.S. I saw those exact same hydrangeas at the grocery store last p.m. when I was on a Ben + Jerry’s/Country Living magazine ‘run’. Shoulda got ’em for myself; gonna go back today!
Beautiful photography, what eye candy. I love the cup and saucer with the cows on it!
So pretty!
Blue always makes your heart smile.
I love it! Gorgeous photography as always. Love this vignette! Blue and white has been my favorite since I set eyes on Victoria magazine’s June issue back in high school (somewhere in the late 90s). 🙂
What is it about blue and white? I am so drawn to it! Thank you for sharing your beautiful images.
You may have already posted about this and I missed it somehow, so forgive me if I’m repeating old news…. Hydrangreas are absolutely lovely but often don’t last inside once cut. If you dip the cut cut stems in alum it will help preserve them much longer.
I too am obsessed with all things blue & white… flowers in the garden, decorative containers/plates, quilts, fabrics, pillows and on and on…. LOVE it!
Simply put.. No words needed.. My favorite too.. Beautiful……
Oh, the bovine beauties on the first teacup! Be still my heart! NOW I remember why blue and white was my first love. . .and I return to that combination over and over. So fresh and so classic. Thanks for the lovely photography.
The images are beautiful. No need for words.
I am a blue and white lover, also. But, recently, I have become enamored of some ironstone made by Johnson Bros. in a rich, dark pink and white. It is a series called “Old Britain Castles” and the castles are depicted as they stood in the 1700’s. They are beautifully done with the name of the particular castle and the date below the image. Very lovely. And, I believe, that they may also come in blue and white!
I have always loved dishes, especially vintage ones and have quite a few pieces from my family. But, now, I have decided that if Marian can put her favorite plates on the wall, so can I! I”m excited to get them hung and be able to see them every day instead of having them stuck away in cupboards! Call me “copy-cat”, if you will, but, Marian, you have inspired me! BTW, I LOVE your blue and white images. You are becoming an accomplished photographer.
P.S. Did I mention that the tea-cup with the cows is to DIE for! I covet!
Outstanding items and photos, Marian. You do blue & white so well.
I love your photos! I have come to appreciate the timeless beauty of blue and white as my MIL, her mother, and sister all decorate in blue and white! I would love to see a post/rambling on other classic combos you have noted!
Such an eye catching combo, I love blue & white together they make this decorating girls heart skip a beat.
