On the way home from the Country Living Fair, my mom and I thought we would stop by a few antique stores. We planned on shopping our way up to Rhinebeck, but the GPS routed us on toll roads, so we didn’t see anywhere to stop. I should’ve planned out a route ahead of time, but I didn’t have the time to do that leading up to the event. Our drive home could be a bit more leisurely, so we consulted with our friend Diane, who suggested a route and highlighted a few good antique stores.
A few hadn’t opened for the day yet, but we finally came across one that was open and stopped in – the Newburgh Vintage Emporium Ware-House in Newburgh, NY.

The antique mall was a good size with a quality mix of vendors. I was pretty zeroed in on frames and potential pieces for displaying art, but here were some pieces that captured my eye as I perused the store…
Of course, this handsome antique portrait spoke to me right away. It was on top of a cabinet and too high for me to properly look for a tag, so I’m not sure how much it was.

Another vendor towards the back of the store had a lot of interesting art pieces…

I also liked this portrait and the frame…

This booth was lovely with lots of European antiques. Those armoire doors would be so cool to either build a cabinet around or create a custom built-in closet.

I loved this wood box, but couldn’t really justify purchasing it…

I spent a lot of time in this booth, though. I couldn’t help but sort through the linens, admiring the details on collars and sleeves.

I know this bust of a little boy is kind of weird, but I felt like it was weird in a good way. I considered it, but again, couldn’t really justify the purchase. I thought $80 was a pretty good price, though.

Naturally, the collection of antique ironstone molds caught my attention. I already have a bunch of them, but I enjoy looking at different designs.

And lastly, this frame was magnificent. It was definitely what I would consider a museum-quality frame, but it was over $400, so it definitely wasn’t in my usual frame budget! It really was special, though, so I had to drool over it for a bit.

In a rare reversal of roles, my mom was the one who made a purchase, and I left empty-handed! It was definitely worth the stop, though.
I still need to take a bit of time to photograph the things I purchased at Country Living and Lucketts to share…
