Furniture Feature Friday – Link Party

Well, today I turned the big three-five.

It was a quiet day that I spent catching up on e-mail and doing a bit more shopping.  I found a bunch of great ironstone…happy birthday, indeed!  🙂  I had a very nice dinner with my husband, parents and in-laws at a beautiful 1776 tavern in Gettysburg called The Dobbin House.  I even got a fudge brownie a la mode with a sparkler on top.  Due to these festivities, I didn’t have a chance to pick favorites for the week.  Sorry!  Maybe I should have a “guest picker” sometime when I’m busy…hmmm…

Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…

1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.

2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.

3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF.

Enjoy the party!

  1. Thanks for hosting – I always love looking at the projects that are linked up and am happy to have one of my own this week! 🙂

  2. Oh my goodness, I feel like an idiot.

Something went wacky when I linked up my husbands bench to your party…when I pushed on the picture to link it sent me to the website that runs the link parties then back to your site. And now the dang picture is up there twice and I can't get it off. I don't know what or how it happened.

I'm sorry…I didn't mean to hog two spots, especially with my husbands man project.

  3. Thank you for hosting this link event. I always enjoy the projects and your blog! It is fun to see other's projects, techniques and opinions on furniture makeovers!

  4. I had trouble linking up; so my link came up twice: please delete #117 (it's the same as my other at #121.) Sorry. Not sure what was going on. Good to hear you got all that painting done: that must be a relief! Looking forward to seeing pictures!! 🙂

  5. Hi Marian, Wow that has been a long time since I had a furniture makeover that I could link up here. I am glad to be back. I hope you like what I did to an old refectory table.
    Love ye! Marianne

  6. Dear Marian- yo're right… we are all human and sometimes something's gotta give. Thank you for coming back to host each week! andrea@townandprairie

  7. You make me tired just reading about your day. Shopping tires me out let alone painting and shopping a making more things! But it does sound fun at the same time. Thanks so much for hosting!

  8. Happy Friday!
Thanks for hosting, I love seeing all the projects people come up with – so inspiring.

My gf and I are making your "no sew" ruffled christmas tree skirts next week…so excited they are beautiful and neither one of us sews so when we saw them we knew it was meant to be!!
    Have a great day:)

  9. Miss Mustard Seed,

I've only blogged for a few months but I always visit your furniture friday link-up and learn so much and get inspired. I finally have my own furniture "up-cycle" (just learned that phrase) to share; I turned the bachelor's chest from my own tween-age bedroom (oh so many years ago) into a mini-server / accent piece in my dining room. OK, I'm hooked on painting furniture! Thanks so much for hosting this great furniture round-up!

  10. Hi Marian! It seems like forever since I've linked up, but I had a fun, funky, frugal (how's that for alliteration? : )) hallway reveal–including an awesome pristine vintage buffet score–that I thought you might enjoy (#190). Thanks for hosting!

  11. This is my first time ever to do a linky so I hope I've done everything right. This is just so amazing & there is so much talent out there! I'm new to this furniture thing but already in luv with it all. My friends think I've lost my mind. My regular blog buddies wonder what has happened to me. The TV hasn't been on in weeks. Yes, I'm head over heels w/ this new (to me) world.

Finally, I've been bitten by a useful bug. Thanks so much for all that you do…
