Furniture Feature Friday – Favorites & a Link Party

Good evening everyone.  Before we get going on our furniture festivities, I want to say thanks for all of your supportive comments on Tuesday’s post.  It really does mean a lot to me to know I have cheerleaders and girls who are going to hold me accountable.  I will definitely keep you updated!

Now for FFF.  Here are my favorites from last week…

I picked this dresser as a favorite before I saw that it was painted with MMSMP Shutter Gray with Hemp Oil finish on the top.  Seriously.  Mimi of Blue Roof Cabin was dealing with a piece that had chipping veneer, so she just removed it and hand planed the top.  I love the look of the exposed and rustic wood.  It was a big gamble that paid off.

I love this sheet music dresser by Deb from Twice Nice.  She used the sheet music dresser I did in my early blog days for inspiration, but I think she bested me.  It’s really beautiful, Deb.

And last, but certainly not least, I love this painted dresser by Dee of Deelite Design inspired by the Maryland state flag.  She changed up the colors to soften the look, but the graphic pattern is still bold enough to make this piece a showstopper.  Love it!

Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…

1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.

2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.

3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF.

Enjoy the party!

  1. I believe this is the first time ever that I’ve got to join your party. So excited!! Thanks so much for hosting.

  2. Thanks for always hosting this! I love to come look at all the furniture features. Today, I had something to add, but must have done something wrong as my photo isn’t showing up in Entry #119.

  3. love the green milk paint buffet…so want to paint something this color. i am working on a buffet for a friend that is crying out to be green, and she wants white. i think i will need to show her this pic.

  4. As always thanks for hosting the furniture party. And a huge hug and thank you for the Feature! Some of my favorite pieces are inspired by something that you have done. You are a trailblazer for so many of us. When I saw that piece in the store your Sheet Music dresser immediately popped into my head and I convinced my Mr. that, yes, I did indeed want that sorry looking dresser because I knew I could make it something pretty again because I had seen you do it!

  5. This is my second time attending your party, I really enjoy seeing everyone’s amazing ideas! Thanks so much for hosting! Have a great weekend 🙂

  6. Thank you for hosting Marian! I got my inspiration for my piece this week from your bedroom nightstand and linked back to it in my post today. You do beautiful work and I always enjoy following on with you. Blessings ~ Judy

  7. Of course I love everything in the shop – Oh I would pick something – Maybe the inspiration braclet or the green vintage that reminds me of my Gram–Lovely, thanks for the link

  8. The fact that you can re-purpose solid wood pieces so easily is one of my favorite aspects of wood furniture. I especially love the sheet music finish on the dresser. When you purchase a new or used piece of wooden furniture, you’re essentially making an investment. As your styles change, you can update your furniture to reflect your new change in direction.
