Furniture Feature Friday – Link Party

Well, today I turned the big three-five.

It was a quiet day that I spent catching up on e-mail and doing a bit more shopping.  I found a bunch of great ironstone…happy birthday, indeed!  🙂  I had a very nice dinner with my husband, parents and in-laws at a beautiful 1776 tavern in Gettysburg called The Dobbin House.  I even got a fudge brownie a la mode with a sparkler on top.  Due to these festivities, I didn’t have a chance to pick favorites for the week.  Sorry!  Maybe I should have a “guest picker” sometime when I’m busy…hmmm…

Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…

1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.

2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.

3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF.

Enjoy the party!

  1. yay! happy birthday! i turn 35 this summer, and one of my closest friends is a month after me. we are considering doing a half marathon… maybe 35 is the age to do it! maybe…. we will see. this one would be in honor of my neighbors’ daughters who passed away in the fire on 1/31. i figure that no matter how hard running 13 miles is, it will never compare to how hard what those parents are going through. keep on keeping on and consider joining us! we will show them how awesome 35 can be!

  2. Well, that’s so wonderful! Amazing that you are 35 and look at all you’ve accomplished! I’m glad you had a nice time out on your birthday. Thanks for hosting even so. You are so sweet. Happy birthday!

  14. Happy Birthday! Love the Dobbin House. Such a great place to celebrate anything! It’s been awhile since I’ve been but I think the atmosphere is so unique, especially the poster bed seating.

  15. Happy birthday! It was mine too, except I’m just a few years older at 43. Sounds like you had a very nice day.

  16. Happy birthday, Marian. May God sends you many blessings today and through the year.

  17. Congratulations on your day! I think that was my favorite age, although each decade has something to recommend it. You should enjoy your days off (whenever you want) them without a qualm.

  18. Love the party this week – I don’t have anything to share, but I’ve been staring at other people’s stuff for half an hour already! Happy Birthday – enjoy!

  19. Belated birthday wishes, Marian! We celebrated my granddaughter Hadley’s sixth birthday yesterday too. Countdown 19 more days till grandma turns three times twenty plus five ( I choose to mark that particular number any way to be kinder to me.) I do enjoy reading your blog and seeing your marvelous new kitchen and other inspirations.

  20. Happy Birthday! I started following your blog about five months ago. I am new to the blog world. Why haven’t I been doing this all along? You have really inspired me and I purchased your book and many colors of your milk paint. So far I painted a picture frame ( with plans to make it into a chalk board) with boxwood and two pressed back chairs with tricycle. Next, I have plans to tackle a couple of projects that have been waiting in my garage way too long! My husband is even wondering what’s come over me! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and ideas with us all.

  21. Happy Happy Birthday..Sounds like you had a blast, as you should on your 35th. Have a great weekend, hopefully just the way your like it-either getting lots done or just relaxing.

    1. She is my daughter and I am – we are totally amazed and proud! And it was so fun to be here and celebrate her birthday with her! Mom and Dad

  24. Happy birthday, baby! Blessings to you for a great year, you beautiful soul!

I would happily be a guest FFF Favorites picker for you – any time! Just let me know. I check your blog every day, and never miss a FFF.

    Best wishes,

    Kimberly

  25. Happy Birthday! A guest picker would be brilliant – if you regularly scheduled one you could have a break every month or so

  26. My husband and I had dinner there when we stayed at the bed and breakfast next door, what a neat place! Happy Birthday to you!
