Writing a book is such a long process and you never know how it will be received, but the feedback I’ve been hearing on the sneak peeks and previews have been so positive and encouraging. I can’t wait until the physical book ships out to all of those who order it!
For those who have preordered the book and are super-excited about it, I’d like to invite you into something really special – The Feels Like Home Launch Book Team! Since I’ve never launched a launch team before and you may have never been on a launch team (or heard of one), let’s do a little Q&A. I’ll answer the questions I think you’ll have and then I’ll answer them, too. You can just sit back and read!

What is a book launch team?
Well, I’m so glad you asked! This is a team of people who are excited about the book and want to help spread the word about it. That’s it!
What do I have to do to be a member of the Feels Like Home book launch team?
We just ask that members of the launch team have preordered Feels Like Home. There are a lot of you out there and you’re the folks who are most excited about the book, so we want you to be a part of this community! (Yes, mom, you can join, too.)
What are the perks for members of the Feels Like Home book launch team?
I’m so glad you asked about that, too! My publishing team at Worthy and I both know that everyone is busy and we want to thank you for giving a few minutes of your time to help us share Feels Like Home with others, so we will be giving you an advanced e-copy of the book, some exclusive live streams just for the launch team, and the chance to win lots of giveaways and prizes! (Think gift cards to craft stores, Amazon, and even some free coffee on us.) The biggest prize is a one-on-one design consultation with me and a $500 Visa Gift Card to help you work on your space! We’ll have a private Facebook group to talk about the book, design, our homes, and more. I am really excited to get to know some of the Feels Like Home (and my blog) readers in a more personal way through this group.

We’re just asking members of the launch team to share about the book in a way that’s natural and organic. (Since we talk about things we like, you’re probably already doing that!) We’ll share some ways members can support and share the book to make it very easy.

Of course, I want the book to do well. It’s something I worked hard on and it’s normal to want to see work rewarded with success. But more than that, I feel like there is an important message in this book that goes beyond the superficial exercise of decorating a house. This book is meant to be encouraging, empowering, and inspirational. It’s not about creating pretty spaces for a camera or the approval of others, but about creating pretty spaces for you and your family. It goes beyond trends and style quizzes and digs deep into discovering your own creativity and what feels like home to you.
