It’s not until October 19, but I’ve already started shopping, gathering and collecting for The Chapel Market in Pikes Road, Alabama.

Here are some of the things I will be bringing…
…an old scale…
…a mini alarm clock…
…a brown transferware ironstone sugar jar…
…a bunch of antique European grain sacks, fabric and tea towels….
…a pig butcher block board…
…and TWO of these antique shoe racks…
They’re so cool and offer some really neat storage possibilities. AND I found them at a yard sale. A YARD SALE, people! You don’t even want to know what I paid for them. Well, maybe you do and I would tell, but I’m reselling them for a lot more, so that would probably be tacky.
I also have a cool industrial stool, some hand painted camp banners, a pretty antique globe, old shoe brushes, a typewriter and a lot more. Of course, I’ll bring my books, t-shirts, German Glass Glitter, dried lavender and preserved boxwood wreaths as well. Shaunna will be vending there, too, and will carry MMS Milk Paint and companion products.
It’s going to be a great event and I hope you can make it!

Ohhhh I would love to be there also but The mountains of NH will be calling my name from now until Nov 1st. Poor poor me! Have an awesome time for me ya all!
Can I buy your old scale and have it shipped?? I love it!! It’s like the perfect size.
The Chapel Market sounds like so much fun! All my favorite bloggers in one place & fabulous antiques & shopping for unique goods….sign me up! Hoping I can work out the details to make it! It’s a long trip from Iowa.
Dear MMS, I’m planning on being there to see you and your lovely items for sale! So excited. Hugs, Anne Boykin
I wish the Chapel Market was held in early October which would be on our way back from Round Top, TX antique week because it looks wonderful. I picked up some great goodies this past week in upstate NY at the Madison/Bouckville antique and flea market. It was like Luckett’s on steroids!!
I was at bouckville last week as well…it would take several days to see everything there. Many treasures to find..my great score was a long arm barn light w/ripple enamel shade for $35! It just needs new wiring. Now I must check out lucketts someday, wish I were closer!
Oh, to be able to wiggle my nose and suddenly be in Alabama for the market. It all looks fantastic! Enjoy!
Fantastic scores, especially the yard sale antique shoe racks – don’t be ashamed as they put a price on them and I’m sure you paid it. As we all know it’s getting harder and harder to get really cool stuff because everybody thinks they have a vintage/antique item. I’m already working on Fall and looking towards Christmas ideas. When will you reveal the DIY on the dried boxwood and magnolia wreaths? Hope very soon because as you know we all need to be working on these things now. Best of luck at the market.
Carolyn
Still can’t believe all the cool stuff that happens AFTER I move from Pike Road! Even I hadn’t already made plans to hit the Country Living Fair at Stone Mountan, I’d so be there. I hope Layla’s got a plan for traffic. You girls are going to be a huge draw & I know The Waters will be swamped. BTW, love the Pig Cutting Board!
I’ll be there! I’m going with my husband and our pastor! We’re all big junkers/antiquers/DIY-ers, so we are driving almost 4 hours from Cartersville, GA to be there! So excited!!!
Do you sell your t-shirts online?
did you say, “industrial stool” ??
oh, me, me, ME!!

Really looking forward to the Chapel Market! Something for everyone…well, at least the folks that get there early! 😉
Wow! How I would LOVE to be able to attend! I am going to have to look into it some more…Life to the full! Melissa
I CANNOT WAIT!!!! Yippee!!!!!!
Love,
A MMS Groupie!
Wish I could buy some of those grain sacks or fabric. No way I can get to Alabama but sure wish I could. You need to start an online store! Mary
The butcher board pig is my favorite. Wish I lived close so I could visit Chapel Market. I will just have admire all the goodness taking place from here in Utah.
SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am in north alabama BUT I’m driving south as long as I’v been a stalker I wouldn’t miss it even if my arm is hanging off lol lol lol can’t wait Miss Marion!!!!
Oh how I’d love to be able to attend even one of the markets you gals sell at. When I see what all you sell I’m so envious not to be able to have any of the incredible goodies available to buy, dad gum it. Seeing what all you’re taking is really making we want to move back to the Midwest. I’d love to buy another scale and some glass glitter from you. For some dumb reason I sold my scale when we moved to CO, duh.
This is unbelievable!! My sister lives close by there and she’s 71/2 hours from me. I can’t wait!! It’s like someone else said our favorite bloggers in one spot. See you in Alabama!!
Oh, my, What lovely goodies. I want it all! You always have such pretty things on your blog. Have a great time!
Hugs,
Sherry
Where do you get your antique grain sacks from? Would like to maybe buy some from you.
Hi Marian! Counting down the days and can’t wait to meet you!. I’ve heard so much about you from Kelli here in B’ham and I’m bringing your book which I hope you will autograph for me. I’m loving being a retailer and holding workshops so much, but I’ve got a problem…all I wanna do is paint!!!!! Lol!
