Vintage Skye Giveaway

One of my favorite things about blogging is meeting talented women who have started their own “kitchen counter business.”  I feel such a kinship with them.  I recently had the privilege of welcoming one of those talented women, Kristi from Vintage Skye, as a sponsor.  She makes beautiful clay knobs and tags, concrete eggs (with real ducklings as props) and fabric flowers and sells them in her Etsy shop along with vintage finds.

I love her work and used some of her hand made knobs and tags on my pieces sold at Lucketts.  Right after the sale, I wrote her an e-mail begging for more.  Yes…I’m a knob-hog.  And a tag-hog.

Would you like to win some of her clay knobs?  Well, you’ve come to the right place at the right time.  Vintage Skye is graciously offering 30…that’s right…THIRTY clay knobs.  The winner may choose any combination of knobs she (or he) wants.  Some people could outfit their entire kitchen with 30 knobs!

Here’s what you need to do to enter: visit the Vintage Skye Etsy Shop, then come back here and leave a comment letting me know which knobs you would choose if you are the winner.  That’s it!
Here are a few of my favorites…

I used those on one of my Paris Grey dressers.

I also love her tags.  I didn’t “get” the clay tag thing at first, but now I want to tie them onto everything.  They add a nice finishing touch on pitchers, baskets, glass jars…

…and little metal baby buggy frames with lavender bunches in them.  Perfect finishing touch for those…since so many people have those hanging around.
Check out Vintage Skye and then leave a comment letting me know which knob(s) you would like.  The giveaway ends Sunday, May 29 at midnight PST and a winner will be randomly chosen and announced on Monday, May 30.  Good luck to all!
If you’d like to show some additional love, add Vintage Skye to your Etsy favorites and Circles or share this giveaway on the social media network you like best.
If you’d like to make a purchase, enter coupon code MMS15 for an additional 15% off your order!
I’m getting ready to go to Warrenton, VA to style a wedding this weekend.  I’m packing up about half my house to bring along.  Can I just say it is sick how many pitchers I have?  Certifiable.
I did find a great outfit to wear to the wedding, which was a real feat, since I dislike clothes shopping a great deal.  Well, I like it, but sometimes it’s depressing.  Yesterday I found a lot of great things, so it was fun.  Here’s a sneak peek of my outfit.

Yes…I wear a lot of black and grey…even to a wedding…and yes, I put my wedding outfit on my dress form to take some pictures.  I’ll share the full outfit and more details about the wedding this weekend.

  140. Difficult choice, Miss Mustard. All the knobs are beautifully crafted. But as the former Editor-in-Chief of MetroHouse magazine, and a journalist who's covered home style here and abroad, I'd have to say I think the typography knobs are the most versatile–they would make a unique statement in any decor.

  161. oh, Miss Mustard Seed, PLEASE please PLEASE (I don't want to beg, but… can't help it… because….) I have had a dream to restore a vintage 1950's trailer, and today found the perfect one (yay! I'm going to see it tomorrow!)

I want to do a vintage modern style with a heavy dose of typography and vintage maps, and actually have some postmark art in my house already that I could incorporate. Long story short, I would LOVE to win this set of knobs, because
    (1) I bet I could make them go a long way in my trailer resoration project!, and
    (2) VintageSkye's aesthetic is beyond PERFECT for my vision. I would delight over a mix of her postmark, faded map, and typography knobs. It would be a cherry on top of the most delicious cupcake ever to also get 3 knobs with 9's on them, since my husband is going to help greatly with the restoration (and getting it here.. hehe) and 09-09-09 is our anniversary. I'd figure out some special place to put them…

    Did I mention it's going to be a craft/project trailer? 🙂

  162. I adore the Stamped Typography Knob Drawer Pull and the Numbered Stamped Knobs Drawer Pulls. I just bought some Anne Sloan chalk paint to redo my Craigslist desk and those knobs would top it all off!

I would definitely put the hotel knobs on it! Im doing 2 desks right now and they would look great on either. Thanks for the great giveaways and such a great blog!

  203. Oh! Oh! She does make some lovely knobs. Sat here with a mug of coffee enjoying looking each one! The winner for me? The numbered knobs. Perfect for the kitchen as well as the 19th century academic-vampire-meets-Sherlock-Homes study I'm making for my hubby.

    I wish everyone luck.

PS! If anyone knows of anyone who has a blog about gloomy pseudo-gothic dark Victorian decor could they let me know? Pretty please?

  204. The vintage postcard stamp and the vintage inspired typography designs are competing for my favorite; so beautiful!

  205. I love them all but if I had to choose, I would pick the vintage farmhouse floral and the topography knobs.

  206. Dear Miss Mustard Seed, I don't often leave comments on blogs (lurker that I am), but your blog is a simple and pretty arrival in my email box, so thanks for that. The chance to win the artistic knobs is also fun. I, too, like the French hotel ones but my favorites are the faded apple ones which I don't think anyone else favors. Do you think they would look remiss in an 80s kitchen that has a French country flair and is in need of a cosmetic update?

  207. hard to choose…love, love, love the Vintage Typography Stamped knobs, but can't resist anything floral too…the Vintage Farmhouse Floral stamped knobs are dreamy-mix and matching would be me…..

  208. I love her shop! I love the vintage inspired typography and the tiny numbers. I have a hallway table that i just finished in a grey color that i love, except the knobs. I have little glass pulls on it now, but it really needs something else. one of hers would be the perfect addition 🙂

  209. Hands down I would choose the vintage map knobs! My husband makes maps for a living, and I am in the process of restoring my first project. A secretary desk. He would love to see something inspired by him included on my first project. Thank you for all of the inspiration!

  213. I love everything! I don't know how you're suppose to choose a favorite. I would probably choose the Vintage Inspired Typography cabinet knobs. I've been dreaming of redecorating my kitchen and I would love to have some of her knobs.

  214. Thanks! I love the faded floral, vintage farmhouse floral, vintage car, and vintage bees knobs… definitely added this shop to my Etsy favorites.

  215. I love the idea of number knobs on kids dresser draws…seems like it might make sense to them and they'd put things where they belong? maybe that's wishful thinking.

But I love the typography knobs too….for cabinets.

  216. Love, Love, Love the Farmhouse Floral stamped knobs. I'm in love with them as you can tell by all the mentions of love in this post. Would be super excited to have them….

  217. These knobs – her whole line actually! – are just wonderful. Love the typography knobs the best though. Marian, the dress is beautiful – and love the pearls. You will look stunning. Have fun!

    Cheers,
    Terri B.

I love all of them, especially:
the numbered stamped knobs, the ABC knobs, vintage inspired typograph, and the vintage inspired French Hotel.

If I had to pick one right now it would be the numbered stamped knobs.

This would be great because I have no knobs ! lol I am just starting out on painting over all of my furniture and will be needing new knobs like crazy.

Thank you for the chance to win this wonderful Giver-Away !

  220. Oh I think either the faded map or the postage stamps- I would LOVE these in my kitchen or dotted all through my house!

  221. Great Blog site! Love reading it everyday! I think the faded floral knobs and farm house are my favorites!
Hope you have a restful Memorial Day!

  222. OMGoodness, I LOVE ALL OF THEM!!!…….but, if I had to chose, it would have to be the "Hotel" knobs. They would really make my kitchen look sweeeeet. Thanks so much for offering such a wonderful giveaway and God Bless!

  223. I'm in LOVE with the Floral knobs, but really in love with everything from her Etsy shop. So, many must have goodies needed for my home!!! 🙂

  224. I like the hotel ones and also the stamp ones. They are so authentic. Could find lots of places for things from this shop!

  225. It's definitely a toss up between the French Hotel and the Vintage Typography knobs but I think I'm going to have to go with the French Hotel because I love old logos and labels. These are adorable.

  226. I love them all! But if I have to narrow it down, my faves are the Faded Floral Stamped knobs, the Vintage Inspired Faded Map knobs and the Stamped Vintage Inspired Bee knob. Can you pick me, so I can have them all?! 🙂

  227. French Hotel Knobs are my favorite! I always think of this blog as my secret favorite (until I realize by the number of comments that it is not so secret. Congratulations!!)

  228. Vintage Skye has such lovely things. Thanks for bringing this shop to our attention. I am greedy and love both the vintage floral napkins and the numbered knobs. Oh and I forgot the wonderful letter from the Isle of Wight.

  229. I love them all. I am leaving this comment for my daughter who is redoing an old farmhouse. These would look great in the kitchen. She would probably love a variety of them.
I love all of your work. God Bless.

  230. I love, love, love the hotel knobs! And the numbers are cute as well. Thanks for the great finds! Your inspiration is endless…..
    Wendy

  231. Wow, if I won I guess I would have to bite the bullet and decide but I think I am with you…I like so many of them. Birds are a favorite of mine but I also like the map and typography and the bees. If I were lucky enough to win I would have to decide what pieces I would use them on and that would FORCE me to decide. Indecisive? Sort of!
