Unstaged

I cannot believe the amount of work my family was able to get done today.  The furniture pile kept growing and the project list kept shrinking.  With all of the work, there is no way I could take staged photos of everything I’ve done, so I just had to snap pictures in my workshop.  Here are some pieces I’m bringing to the Lucketts Antique Market this weekend:
A buffet painted in Louis Blue and Old White…

..a pair of French twin beds that I painted in Paris Gray and Old White with gold leaf detail…

…a French side table that matches the twin beds…

…a dresser in Graphite with some funky glass knobs from Abodent

…a dresser painted in Paris Gray with glass knobs…

(Believe it or not, this is only a fraction of what we got done today!)
…and here’s me unstaged as well.  This is what I’ve looked like for about two weeks.

I can’t wait for things to slow down, so I can take some pretty pictures again!

  2. WOWZERS! It all looks so amazing. I especially LOVE the twin bed with matching piece with the Gold Leaf Detail. And the 1st pic of the French Buffet? Oh, you are going to be so succesful! See, you must come from really good stock to get all that gorgeous work done with your "team".

The last photo looks like me! Complete with the black paint on my arm. I painted a piano black today and didn't notice the paint until I was driving kids to church youth activities!

Your "beauty" pics will be when the show is going on. Thanks for sharing all the fun. -K

  3. Marian that's what I look like too nearly every day (but only for about 2 hours while the little ones are at school). All your hard work will definitely pay off.

  4. Nothing short of amazing as usual. Im dying to see a pic of the pavilion and your spaces with all your treasures.

  5. Man, you are really trying to torture us people who live too far away to come, ay? Haha. But seriously, everything looks so beautiful! Your booth will be sold out in minutes !!!

  6. Dear Miss Mustard Seed,
Just in case you didn't know it… You ARE amazing! You GO Girl! Don't worry about all of us seeing pretty pictures. Let all of us just send you and your team kudos! I'm positive you'll be quite successful!
    Best Wishes!

  7. You have made some amazing finds, and they have all turned out beautifully! I can't decide which one I like best, but that french bed is awfully gorgeous!

  8. Amazing as always. What floors me is how clean and dust-free your work space always looks…my areas always seem to get so dirty/dusty!! Have a great productive week!

p.s. I purchased a paint sprayer that you so kindly recommended to me. First attempt…not too bad! But of course I somehow managed to paint my new paint sprayer, the air hose AND my garden hose when I was ready to give it a first rinse when done. haha…guess it has to get broken in sooner or later!

  9. Looks like an amazingly successful day! I'm feeling a bit embarrassed that I didn't finish my teeny tiny antique table today! lol

  10. You have been a busy lady! You're very talented though and I love all these pieces, especially the blue and white buffet!

  11. Marian….
Before you load it all up…you need to "sign" your pieces! You are so well known and everyone loves your talented approach to finding character in each piece! Can you use your new stamp and at least stamp your logo on the back of each piece…I think it's high time! 🙂

Good Luck this weekend…as I said before..for me…598 miles would get me there….just not this weekend…wish it were after school got out for the summer! Maybe I'll take a summer drive up that way!

Again, Blessings for a most successful weekend!

  15. Hello Marian,
I stopped by your space on my way to NY last Sat. Everything looked just as lovely as on your blog. Good luck with this weekend. Maybe a few showers on Friday, but Sat and Sun will be sunny and in the 80's!!

I hope you come home to an empty and lonely looking workspace on Sunday evening.(aka.. everything sells)

    your friend,

  16. They're all beautiful and you are wonder women. Can't wait to see all the pictures from the Lucketts Antique Market.Have a great show!!!

  17. Gorgeous pieces! Would love for you to do a post about pricing, and all the knobs at Abodent are sold here at Anthropologie, but they don't list them on-line – in the stores they have tons! Good luck, I'm sure you'll come home empty handed! Wish I lived closer! xo

  18. All of the pieces look amazing, but they always do. Keep it coming!! You are inspiring me. I had mentioned before that I am going to use the chalk paint and I am on track to do that this week. That is part of a complete overhaul I am doing on my back porch, inspired by you of course. Please look at the linen and feedsack daybed linens I just finished. The pillows remind me of the pillow on your header. http://cedarhillranch.blogspot.com/2011/05/dreamy-daybed-redo-with-feedsacks-and.html
Will send a link when I do the paint!!

  19. BEAUTIFUL !!!! As always. Someday soon you will have a wharehouse and factory. You should show your wares to Ballard, or pottery barn
