Furniture Feature Friday – Favorites & A Link Party

We had a wicked storm roll in this evening and it made me think of all of the places in the country that have been devastated by tornadoes and flooding. I hope this post finds you and your family well.

Here are my favorites from Furniture Feature Friday two weeks ago.

Karryann from Gracefully Vintage reupholstered this tired and stuffy sofa and now it’s chic and oh so yummy.  I love it, Karryann!

As a second ode to upholstery, I wanted to highlight this sweet French bench by Lori from Wool and Flax.  The curvy legs are lovely and the textured fabric is fab.

The last person I want to feature is Rachel from Gilly Grey.  While I was getting busy for Lucketts, she was getting ready for the grand opening of Laissez Faire in Baltimore. (Maryland?)  I know you worked so hard and your space looks fabulous!  I feel such a kinship with women who do what I do.  You go girl!!
After a week off, you should have a lot of great pieces of furniture to link up!
Here are the rules for the furniture party…
1.) Your post has to be about furniture.  Please, please, please…just furniture.  If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture.  You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list!  Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.
2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.
3.) This party will close Saturday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF.

  1. Marian!! thanks so much for featuring my lil ol bench and blog here! So excited and honored. I am a big fan of all your furniture redos and am loving this new chalk paint thingy. Thanks for the inspiration and congrats on your big Luckett's fair. -Lori @ woolflaxandbeeswax.blogspot.com

  2. LOVE that couch: very pretty!! Thanks for hosting the party every week. I don't always get to participate, but I always love looking. I'm not sure if my distressed counter top counts as "furniture" since it isn't attached to the counters yet…hoping to do that in the coming week. Hoping. 🙂

  3. Hello Marian,
Lovely featured pieces as always .Baltimore, not too far away. I smell a road trip!

On a different note……I have to laugh over all the commotion and debate going on over Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint. I think you started something ;->

I don't understand all the concern over what the formula is and why no primer is needed. Why can't people just enjoy the fact that this stuff is fabulous and saves you time and money in the long run.

When you taste an incredible dessert at a restaurant, do you swear never to order it again unless the chef gives you his recipe?
NO….you order it each time you go there and you just enjoy it…Same thing folks!

    Ok…that's all for now ;->

    Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
