For some reason, I am in a huge purge mood this year as I’m getting ready for Lucketts. I’ve been grabbing things I’ve had and loved for years and I’m tagging them without hesitation. I think I’m learning that I will always find something new that I’m excited about and I’ve probably kept too much stuff along the way. I’ve kept some things to use for photo shoots, but I always end up using the latest and greatest thing I’ve found. So, now it’s time to send some of those things along to a new home. Here are some of “my” things that I’m taking to Lucketts to sell…
The peanut scale…

My dining room table (it comes with six chairs and one leaf.) The top is lighter now, since I refinished it and all of the seats are upholstered in antique grain sacks. AND I have a bamboo mat, just like the one under table.

The cabinet from my office…
…this three handle trophy…

…just to name a few. There’s a lot more!
Anyway, I finished several pieces of furniture today, so I’ll have a lot of before & afters to share in the coming days.

I would LOVE to buy the trophy from you !! I have been looking for one for over a year but can never find an affordable one…:(
THE Peanut Scale? Now, that is a shocker. 😉
I would love to buy the peanut scale. Wish I lived closer. Thanks, Stanna
That is so smart of you, I am trying to do that myself, it is so hard. Di
The dining table and chairs are kind of like celebrities! Lol
I agree–market the stuff as “famous” furniture!
I would love your table and chair set! Any pre Lucketts sales? 🙂
We are in the middle of a re-do of several rooms in our home. I’ve been doing the same thing, packing things up that I could get rid of and doing a whole ‘change’ throughout the house. Some of the things that I tell my family that I am going to get rid of, they say, “You love that, we’ve had it forever! Are you sure you want to get rid of that?!”. Something refreshing about cleaning up and changing things in our homes and lives. Good luck at Lucketts, wish I lived so much closer so I could come….maybe next year I can make the trip down. Many Blessings!
Marion that last trophy with the feathers needs to be in my house next to the ironstone piece I bought from you last year at Lucketts…but this year I’m not able to travel back there from Washington state like I did…anyway of shipping to me? At your leisure???
Wish I could go to Luckett’s….have a wonderful time.
Happy Mother’s Day to all!
Kelly
I love your things and you are getting me motivated to “downsize”.
I am having so much trouble transferring images to wood; can you help?
I am in the process of the mod podge and the “spray water” and although it isn’t bad; makes me think there is something easier out there.
Is transfer paper the answer ; or a woodworking tool?
Thank you any help appreciated.
something about purging is so freeing. I love to move things around and get rid of “stuff” and bring new “stuff” in. But several of my family members about croak when they discover the chair has been moved to a new location, or that old, dusty pot was put in the donation pile, or (heaven forbid) I painted the walls a new color in their absence! I’ve learned I have to either work fast and hold my breath that the emotional dust settles quickly or wait months with mucho discussion to get things done around here. Sheesh! Kudos to all you gals who can clean up, move out, and brighten your homes without lengthy negotiations or war. ha!
Oh! So many fabulous treasures!! Can’t wait til Saturday!!!! See you soon!! 🙂
I would love the Peanut Scale I have been looking for one for a while now. To bad im all the way in California . Cant seem to find one anywhere. Im not in the purging stage Im in the ACQUIRING STAGE..
I recently made $1,200 selling some of my “what nots” at a local consignment shop. The consignment shop smiles when they see me coming because they get 50%. It is so hard gathering stuff and making it look presentable, yet so rewarding to get the big payoff. Good luck Marion…..my heart is racing for you.
I would love to buy the bamboo mat! Is there a possibility of shipping???? Thanks!
Love the dough bowl on the table and the trophy and table and chairs! Will you sell items in your online shop like the trophy , dough bowl, or bamboo mat?
I would love to have that bamboo mat.
Love the feeling of getting rid of the old…and even better when you get to bring in the new!!
Love all your creations your a inspiration
Love all the items for sale !!!!!!
Happy Mother’s Day
Wah!~ I want the trophy, too! Guess I’ll have to show up early on Sat!
Hi Marian … if your could sell all your stuff to the bloggers that are wanting the items you are showing, you would be sold out before you get to Luckettes. I am loving that bamboo mat and someday, I will find one on internet that I can afford.
Good luck at Luckettes … I know you will do well.
Happy Mothers day.
Blessings,
Audrey Z. @ Timeless Tresures
Would love the diningroom set, I so love the chairs. Happy Mother’s Day to you!
to me the items you are selling you should sign as in autograph….no kidding seriously MMS
your items must be in your book too…so if selling then you should sell for bigger dollars as your table and chairs have been on your blog posts for how long…..yeah!!!! and I am serious this is not a table and chair or cabinet from nobody to us you are Special
I have that exact table, but with 8 chairs, and a hutch. I have not painted it, but have definitely thought of it. We have no spot in our new house for the set, so we want to sell it.
Purging at the start of spring is something I like to do as well. It is very refreshing. Hope it all sells. I like that matt under the table.
I admire the way you can let things go. Meaning you own the things, they don’t own you. Or maybe like you are borrowing them for a time. I would love to develop that attitude.
Could you please post the price of the table & chairs, even if it is sold? It would be helpful as an comparison for one I hope to do myself. Thanks!
It actually did sell at $850. That’s how I’ve been pricing my dining sets for about 3 years now and they’ve all sold fast!
Loved the open Armoir. That is what I am looking for at flee markets. Inspired me to photograph my hutch furniture and post on my facebook.
I don’t know how you do it – so hard for me to get rid of things I love! That is why I have waaay too much!
Any chance you take paypal for the scale? Would be perfect in my kitchen
Are you coming to the fair? I’m afraid it would bee crazy to try to ship…
I wish. I am in AZ. I have such a hard time finding unique/ vintage pieces out here. I have no idea what the cost would be, I am sure its heavy. I would be interested to know your asking price. I would say good luck at the Lucketts Fair but its about success, determination and working your butt off, luck isnt involved.
I’m in love with that Mat under the dining room table. Would you consider selling and shipping I am a huge fan of Pay Pal. Currently stationed in Las Vegas and trying to get my home decorated to my New England roots taste!
Another one…. ME …. who would love to have the trophy….
Can’t find them anywhere!! How much??
A value that I see in having some things in your home for years and years is that they provide a sense of continuity and memories for your family. I hope you have some of those things, too, along with the thrill of the new.
