You may think, “Miss Mustard Seed hasn’t posted since Lucketts. She must be getting some rest.” And you would think you were right, but you’re not.
I’ve been cleaning my house, sewing cushion covers for a special project, and pulling my hair out trying to get some of the Lucketts video to work for you. My camera doesn’t like Vista, my laptop needs a four prong firewire cable and Staples only has a nine, I don’t have codecs on my computer and couldn’t find the right ones to download. I’m ready to pull my hair out. It’s almost 11:00 pm, but we hung in there and got it to work.
So, at long last, here is the first installment of my Lucketts video. It’s about 12 minutes, so hang in there with me. Get a beverage and a snack and enjoy the show!

Looks great so far! I picked the perfect time to log on. It's nice putting a face with a name. I have done craft shows in the past, and sometimes my mom would come and help out, or she would come to the house and help out in the making process that makes it alot more fun! Can't wait to see more. Love your things! Sue
What fun! And oh, how I wish I could've had those lockers!
What fun Marian, you are so cute in person!!! I loved your booth and everything looked great, as I knew it would. You have such wonderful stuff!!! I'm so glad the weather cooperated and you had an awesome show. Try to rest up a bit (if that word is in your vocabulary). You are one busy and talented woman. Love & blessings from NC!
Marian – Your booth looked great! I see a lot of things I would have purchased. That's so sweet that you had your mom along to help you and so happy you got perfect weather. You must be exhausted after working such long hours to prepare. Your hair looks adorable, too! Thanks for sharing your video.
It looks like so much fun! Wish I coulda gone!
Hi Marian,
Thanks for taking time to respond to my email. : )
This video is great. it's the next best thing to being there. You really have a designer touch. Love how you set it all up. So fun to hear your voice and put a face to your name.
I watched every minute! I am so glad that it went well! Everything looked just beautiful! 'Walking' through your booth made me want so many things! YOur signs are awesome and I can not wait for your tutorial! How have you done all of that with little kids?? I am assuming you are great at multi-tasking, something I am not good at! I am opening a booth at a little market store in town, so your video taught me some things about arrangement and making it look like it would in a home…thanks for the tips! Love the video. You're mom was too cute in the beginning… "trying to find your hand Marian." How special that she could be a part of your success this weekend. Sounds like you did very well. Your booth looked amazing. I just adore those German glass glitter pieces. And, quit teasing us with the Mustard Seed Interiors! Spill the beans, lady! 🙂 Anyhow, so happy for your well-deserved success at Luckett's.

And now that lovely ashtray lamp sits in in my bedroom, butterfly in place! I love it just as much in person as I did on your blog. Thank you for it!
It was lovely to meet you, and your mother. You were both so sweet, and I am glad that Lucketts was wildly successful for you. We had a wonderful time, and ate way too much.
ON the way home we stopped off and picked up a dresser I scored off of craigslist. I was inspired by all the great work at Lucketts.
Thank you for such a nice day.
how fun to have you take us along!
This was really fun! I loved seening some of the peices you had showed us befor through the video. The scale of the signs was much larger than I had envisioned. They really are stunning! I envy your talent. I would love to do what you do someday!
That was really fun! Thanks for taking the time to share with us your process! Virginia! And here I thought Lucketts was in Pennsylvania!
Loved seeing the video…it only made me want to be there more! lol You and your mom did a great job with the set up and you have so many amazing things. Such talent and very inspirational!! Hugs sent your way…hopefully now you can take a little break and get some rest!

what a great job!! who could not buy something from a sweetie like you and mom! can't wait to see or hear more on your weekend.
The video is great! My 18 month old wanted to watch the whole thing with me! I can't believe I missed Luckett's twice this Summer. (I was at the beach). I have to at least get down there to go to the antique store. If I was there I would have bought one of everything from your booth! I love how you pick up items from yard sales, thrift shops. It makes me feel like I can find the same gems!
Sarah
Just like a mother to point out the sticky kitchen floor instead of being proud of you for all your wonderful creations! Sheesh!!!
wish i could've been there…perhaps sometime i'll just pack up & go! 🙂 one suggestion: hanging drop cloths @ the corners of your booth would add big-time ambience to it! 🙂
I love seeing your set up! How I wish I was close enough to come shop!!
Love your booth, I would have made a bee line for it if I could of attended Lucketts. Hoping you sell those glitter letters that spell fly online, they would be perfect in my daughters room.
So impressed. You're living the life I wish I could live! Everything looks amazing…wow.
Congratulations on your success at Lucketts! Everything looks great.
Your booth looked fantastic! You had so many gorgeous things and you really styled it so pretty! I just adore your blog and you, you seem like such a genuine and sweet person. Glad lucketts went well!
It was so nice to meet you in person! I have enjoyed all of my purchases from you and I will have to send you some pics to show you their new "home". I am counting down the days to the May festival!!! Beautiful job!!

P.S. You have inspired me to start blogging…eventually 😉
I hope it was a great weekend! But boo-hoo for me. Those of us dinosaurs who still have dial-up can't view your videos. Maybe a photo or two pretty please? 🙂
What a beautiful booth you set up – I sat here with my cereal and coffee and enjoyed the video. I'm so glad that the fair went well for you – all that work!
I'm kicking myself for not making the trip down! It was such a beautiful weekend compared to the spring show.
You have such great pieces!! I can't imagine all that hard work you put into this! You are amazing!!! Your booth is definitely one of the best booths that I have seen!! Great video too, thanks for sharing!!!
That was fun! I watched the whole thing!!! Love those butterflies! Wish I lived closer to virginia!
Thanks for sharing. You have inspired me so much that I just applied for my sellers permit and registered my fictitious business name that I wrote down on a yellow legal pad almost a year ago. Love following you on your journey!!
Oh Marian! Thank you for this video – you are just adorable! It was great fun to see your booth, hear your perspective, and recognize all the things that I "know" from your previous posts.
Can't wait to hear the aftermath – what surprised you? Like how quickly something did or didn't sell, that type of thing.
Great video! I am the lucky customer who bought your FRESH OYSTERS sign and am so thrilled that I stumbled upon our booth at Lucketts. I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of your stuff. I plan on doing my own blog post about the Fair and my sign purchase and will send you the link when it's published. Hope you are enjoying some rest after the busy weekend!

It always amazes me what is possible with a popup tent! Everything looks fabulous — and I love what you did with the old brass butterflies! My stepmom definitely had those when I was growing up. Your version is a BIG improvement!!!
One word: SMASHING!!!
You sure had a gorgeous weekend and I'm glad you did so well. I LOVE the glitter butterflies. What an ingenious idea. Now I'm on the look for something similiar I can put in my youngest daughter's room since we're using butterflies as accents. Just brilliant!
You are a natural behind the camera and your mom,,,,,, move over Cecil B. De Mille!!
Thanks for the video I linked it in my blog for others to see and it was fun showing MDH where I went for the day.
Love the video! You are such a natural behind the camera-beautiful job! I love to see all the details you thought through in your projects and at your booth. Thank you for posting-I have enjoyed it tremendously!
You're adorable and full of energy. No wonder you get so much done! Your booth is wonderful and I'd love to be there, but we'd have to drive for days…not hours. My husband is a good sport, but not that good.
I can't get this video to work… it says photobucket is out of bandwidth? But the newest video I can get to work…
