A Quick Update

Well, girls, Lucketts Day One was a banner day.  I sold so much stuff that I had to shop my house for more merchandise.  Some of it is going to hurt.
See below.  Sniff.
In addition, I’m bringing my large sheet music wreath, hall table, a caned seat bench, a feed sack upholstered bench, the slipcovered chair from my guest room, mirror from my living room, my antique iron crib, and more.
Thanks so much to all of the girls who came out to meet me.  I’ve been making a Lucketts video and I can’t wait to get it up on the blog, so the rest of you can “join me” on the journey.
I’m sunburned, tired, and my brain is mush, so I’m off to bed.

  4. A-MAZING! A big congrats to you! not that it should come as a surprise! You are a super creative, awesomely wonderful woman. You deserve every bit of the success you have worked to hard to achieve! (and I say this only from reading your blog! I cant imagine if I knew you IRL!)

  5. Congratulations to you, Marian! That is so great. I knew you would sell a ton of stuff! I so wish I lived closer to come by. Have another great day tomorrow.

  6. That's wonderful that you did so well today! I know it has to be hard to part with so many things you LOVE in your own home, but think of how much fun it will be to "hunt" for new treasures! I can not wait for the video!

  7. So excited for you! Can't believe you doubted for a second that people would love your stuff, but I guess it is nice to know that even the extremely talented are still human to the core. 😉 I was praying you'd be a huge success. So glad things are going well at Lucketts and so jealous that I live much too far away to check it out.

  8. Sniff, sniff for us! How dare those people buy all of your stuff! Just kidding, I am so excited for you! See, you are a designer with your own style that other people like. You go girl.

  9. great job!!! I was at work today and was thinking about you lol. I knew you would be a huge success. Wish I was there to check it out!! I'm sure my hubby is glad I'm not closer though… It would likely hurt the pocket book!

  10. Oh, gee. We hate to say we told you so! Your whole family must be so proud of you. At least you have beautiful pictures of the things in your house that you are selling tomorrow. Can't wait for the video. Ann

  11. lol I think I may have predicted that would be your problem, that you'd nearly sell all your stuff on the first day! Hope it doesn't hurt too much selling your other stuff, as you said about the dining suite, you know you can get another one…

Can't wait to see the video!

    xx Karen

  12. I just knew you would have a successful day!! Good for you!! Now you can rest for awhile knowing a job was well done.

  15. woo hoo! it was all worth it!

much rest will be needed these next few days…to unmush your brain as fatigue seems to do that! drink lots of water too…keep hydrated.

can't wait to see pics/videos and stories about your weekend.

  16. Haha see?!?! You were worried for nothing, I had faith in you. You make & find such beautiful things it's no wonder everyone wants them.

  17. Hello and Congrats! I am embarrassed to ask bc everyone probably knows the answer to this but I am going to ask anyway…
'WHERE IS LUCKETTS?" I am in PA but live in Chalfont 18914 zip and 215 area code… I drive alot b/c my son loves to sit in the van while I drive (he has autism) and it is soooo relaxing for him! I would have driven but was too scared to ask you this silly question…. hopefully I will know for nexxt year – but you will be famous by then – probably have your own tv show… and I have enjoyed your blog for quite some time! I dont even have a blog – just an email – and I am thrilled for you! You work very hard and you soooo deserve this!!!!!! Congrats to you!!!!!!
    Sincerely,
    Sue and Danny

  18. It truly was a pleasure to meet you and your mother. I LOVE my sign! Can't wait to hang it in my kitchen. I did a post about meeting you. Congratulations! All your hard work paid off for you because you sure were the highlight of the Luckett's Fair.

  19. I was there and saw your gorgeous booth, but was not in shopping mode (i.e. it's not in the budget right now), so I didn't venture in because I knew it would be torture! Everything looked beautiful and your booth was very crowded! Congrats!
