I am just smitten with this gloriously chippy washstand shared by Terry of The Curator’s Collection. She bought the piece from her neighbor and spent an entire day cleaning it up! I think it was worth it, though. It’s a special piece.

You have to check out how this $12 yard sale workbench started out. Cheryl from Patina General did a lot more removing, in this case, than she did adding and the result is really beautiful. It sold so fast that she didn’t even have a chance to style it for this picture.
And lastly, Kristine from The Painted Hive has done it again. She is without a doubt, the very best in blog land at buying the piece that no one else would want and turns it into something nothing less than stunning. It’s worth a click over to see how this piece started and the step-by-step of the transformation.

Ha Marian! I hope you meant 3-5 inches and not feet!!! Fingers crossed that we won’t get anymore of the white stuff here in Chi-town.
Love the library cabinet pick. I have an old army metal cabinet with 18 drawer that the seller carpenter encased with wood. Someday when I tired of the color it will get a coat of MMSP.
how about …when I’m tired of the color…
I love that chippy trunk with those turned legs! Thanks so much for hosting each week!

Your weather sounds more like our “Canadian Spring” it’s been unseasonably warm here this month, but I’ll enjoy it while it lasts. Hope it all melts quickly for you!
