furniture feature friday | favorites & link party

Furniture Feature Friday
I’m so sorry, again, for not picking favorites last week.  I got sidetracked, and just didn’t get it done.  I’m sure you all know what that’s like!  Anyway, I had a wonderful time looking through the furniture that was shared last week.  There was some really good stuff…too many to feature all of my favorites, really.  Here are the three I settled on highlighting…
I am so in love with how simple and pretty this chair by Zoey’s Uber Chic Loft is.  The caning, the curvy French style, the blue & white ticking and free form cushion…wow.  I also am digging that chippy siding “backdrop.”
Melanie of Lost & Found created some really beautiful finishes with the Vaseline resist technique.  I’m telling you…that technique is so easy and it always surprises me with how awesome it looks.
I have a soft spot for Empire dressers.  They are old, sturdy, chunky and beautiful.  I think this one painted a soft white by Martha Leone Design looks so striking.
Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…
1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.
2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.
3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF. Enjoy the party!

  4. Hello Marian,

Thanks so much for hosting the party. I thought about you the other day while I was out for a mid day walk in the city. Some one was moving and left an empire dresser on the CURB! All I could think about the rest of my walk was how I could get the dresser home. Giggle.

By the time I looped back the piece was gone. Another day …

Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your day!

  5. Good morning Marian! I was wondering why my site views were so high today already, now I know why! Thank you so much for featuring my post about using the Vaseline–you were the pioneer of that method and I first learned about it from you. I have been loving my MMS Milk Paint lately, just finished a piece in Shutter Gray yesterday. Hope you have a fantastic weekend, thanks again for another great party 🙂

  6. Hi Marion,
Thanks so much for featuring my French Cottage Chair here! I am honored you chose the chair. I am a regular reader of your blog and totally inspired by your creativity and style. Actually I started reupholstering chairs as a result of your tutorials and after seeing all your amazing chair makeovers you have done yourself. I still have a lot to learn, so please keep sharing your talents for us. [LOL… and I do love the chippy paint on my studio siding too…..but we are in the process of giving her a very needed paint job…she was built in the 1850’s and was on the list for demolition……we purchased her last year for our studio and have been slowly trying to bring her back]
Thank you again Marion, wishing you all the best,
    Wendy & Zoey(our boston terrier)
