furniture feature friday | favorites & link party

It was another great week of makeovers and favorite finds for FFF.  I know I say something like that every week, but it really is true.  There is such an inspiring bunch of people who share projects regularly at this party.  It’s so encouraging to see all of the things that are given a new look through your DIY efforts.  I love it.  Anyway, here are my favorites from last week…
This kitchen by Emily of Eleven Gables is absolutely stunning.  I love all of the white, the drawers, the brick floor, the marble, the paneled fridge, the apron front sink, the glass cabinets.  It is just so beautiful, Emily, and you must be over the moon that it is yours!
Jamie from Anderson + Grant transformed a thrift store picnic basket with a broken handle by giving it a distressed finish.  She used some “oops” paint, so it was a very affordable project and the results speak for themselves.  I just love how it looks like an antique splint basket now.
And lastly, this hutch by Kathy from Past, Present & Patina is so pretty!  I know those things are a beast to paint, with all of the little cubbies, but she did a really great job.  I am smitten with that BANK sign as well.
Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…
1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.
2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.
3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF. Enjoy the party!

  4. Marian, Thank you for featuring my kitchen! I have been a faithful follower of yours for at least 3 years now. You amaze me with all that you do!!! I even purchased one of those metal rolling laundry carts years ago when you wrote a blog about it. You should hear it roll across the brick floor! 🙂 We use it for laundry and love it! I am truly honored that you have visited my kitchen! I’d love to corner you on an airplane and pick your brain about this new blogging adventure that I have embarked upon! xoxo, Emily

  5. Thank you so much Marian for featuring my secretary hutch and I too am constantly smitten with that BANK sign every morning. It was a great find at an antique store.

  6. I have that same secretary in my guest room. I have looked at painting it for two years – but as you said, “They are a beast to paint.” So, I have procrastinated…but this one looks so good, I may give it a go. Thanks for the inspiration!
