Last December, I hopped onto Instagram Stories and made a quick finger knitting tutorial for those who were asking how I made the little wreath present toppers. The quick tutorial went over so well that I decided I should make a proper video tutorial for my YouTube channel and to share here on my blog. What’s wonderful about this project is that it’s super easy and a very quick project. You can make one of the little wreaths to use as ornaments or handmade present-toppers in just a couple of minutes. If you want to knit a garland to mix in with greens or swag on a Christmas tree, that would be an easy TV-watching project. It’s also kid-friendly.

Here is the easy finger knitting video tutorial…
Finger knitting is easier shown than explained, so I would suggest watching the video and you’ll pick it up quickly.
Did anyone else do finger knitting as a kid? I made a little strap for a homemade purse by finger knitting some yarn. It was fun to dust off that old craft and bring it back again in a new way. For this project, I use . It’s a good chunky yarn that is perfect for Christmas projects like this one and my chunky crochet snowflake.

This is a knit garland I purchased a few years ago, but the will give you a very similar look. Other than the yarn, you just need your fingers and a pair of scissors. Like I said…easy.

I think I’ll do something different this year, but last year I swagged some knit garland around my tree along with some wool pom garland.

Happy finger knitting!
More Christmas crafts projects are coming soon…

Marian, Just love all your ideas especially sharing your ideas for so many different “crafts” ! You are truly talented ! Tks.
Wow! I’m so excited because I think I can actually do this! A few years ago my friend and I took a knitting class and every time we went back for the next lesson the instructor tore out half my work because I made a mistake waaaay back, ?? I am left handed and have always had a hard time being taught yarn crafts but I love them so I’m excited! Thank you Marian! ??
I’m also a lefty who has struggled with knitting and crocheting, so I feel your pain! This is a great tutorial!
Love this!!! Never heard of it before. I will try.
Thank you!!!
