Antique Farm House Mora Clock & Giveaway

I have long been in love with Mora clocks.  The curvy shapes, muted colors…I just love them and I hope to one day be able to splurge on a real antique Mora clock.  (I even named a color in my milk paint line Mora, in honor of the clocks.)

Until I can have an antique one, this is a pretty sweet substitute…

It’s a reproduction Mora clock that is my designer pick for Antique Farm House.

I’m pretty picky about reproductions and I was honestly a little nervous about this until I pulled it out of the box.  It has a beautiful, distressed finish with “chippy” paint, crazing and a pretty patina.

While the body is textured, the face is a flat image with the appearance of texture and age.

It is an operating clock once two AA batteries are inserted.

The glass where the pendulum would be is actually a mirror, which is a pretty clever way to disguise the empty body.  It is slightly smoked, again, to lend a sense of age.

I also like the scale of the clock.  It measures 20″ wide x 9″ deep x 75.5″ tall.  It doesn’t feel dinky at all!

Now, I love the gray and white, but I have a color in my milk paint line called “Mora”, so I just can’t help myself…

  363. I bought a few things from Antique Farmhouse because you always recommend them, but on my last purchase I had the worst experience. I ordered antique tin tiles. They sent half the order after almost two months of waiting. When I contacted them they said that they would ship me the rest of them. Another almost two months goes by and I haven’t heard a thing. I contact them and they tell me that they don’t have anymore and they’re not going to be able to fulfill my order. I point out to them that if they knew that they should have offered me a full refund. Only after I say this do they agree to refund my money for a product that they never shipped me. They blamed it on moving warehouses, but never really seemed too apologetic, and I have a feeling that if I hadn’t directly pointed out to them that they hadn’t refunded my money they weren’t going to. When I left an honest review on facebook detailing this bad experience and lack of customer service they erased it. I just can’t bring myself to ever buy from them again, no matter how beautiful their products are.
