a christmas song | what a glorious night

It’s become of a bit of a tradition (every other year, anyway) for me to share a Christmas song here on the blog.  Last year, we just couldn’t pull it together, but this year, I heard a song that I thought would be great and I had just the group of people to do it!

I asked Kriste and her husband, David, if they would be up for joining me, Jeff & the boys, my parents and my brother & sister-in-law for a song.  I was able to lasso everyone in, assign each one an instrument or a part and we spent a couple of hours practicing and recording the song.

I’ve shared a lot about decorating for Christmas over the past few weeks, but Christmas is all about that glorious night when Love came down in the form of a baby in a manger, so we could be saved from our sins.  That’s what this song is about…

And, as you can imagine, getting all of those people and instruments to work together was like herding cats, so here are some bloopers and behind-the-scenes of my noisy family…

You can see we had a wonderful time.  I hope you’ve been blessed by it or at least got a good smile out of it!

I’ll be signing off for a few days, to enjoy some down time with my family.

Merry Christmas to all!

  21. Marian,
I am so confused by the video about our President. Did you intentionally include that in your post? If so, how utterly unchristian to slander our President at a time when we should be worshiping our Lord. Please explain this to me, for it will help to decide whether I will continue to read your blog, which I have been doing for a few years now. Please, please consider answering my question. Your most wholesome family and friend videos were heartwarming. Please tell me the Obama slander was a mistake.
