Top 10 Posts of 2012

As 2012 is coming to an end, I’ve been looking back at what an amazing year of growth this has been for my business and blog.  I’m already looking forward to 2013 and all it has to hold.  I’ll get to some of my plans and goals soon, but for now, let’s look back at the ten most popular posts on my blog from 2012 (according to Google Analytics.)  This was fun for me to see as well and a little surprising in some cases.  And number ten is…

10.) Home office reveal (aka – How we turned a former 1940’s kitchen into a functional home office.  This is probably the most dramatic makeover in our home.)

9.) Oil & Vinegar (I wrote this post in 2010 and it’s still one of my top posts!  This recipe does work like a champ to revive dried wood, though.)

8.) Say Hello to Mustard Seed (aka – the yellow hand painted dresser used to introduce my Mustard Seed Yellow Milk Paint color.)

7.) Antique Sign Tutorial (Don’t want to shell out a couple hundred dollars on an antique sign?  Make your own out of a spare board.)

6.) Waxes 101 (aka – Me going on and on about waxes while wearing a moth-eaten sweatshirt.)

5.) Best of MMS French Chair Makeover Tutorial (aka –  I was overwhelmed with writing my book, so I dusted off an old post and it did better the second time than the first.)

4.) Mystery Paint Revealed (aka – The day the Chalk Paint revolution began…kind of.)

3.) How to Make Slipcovers, a Six Part Video Tutorial Series (I’m really glad this one is on the list, because I get so many sweet comments from people who have used it to beautify some dated or mismatched furniture.  It’s one of my favorites, too.)

2.) Milk Paint vs. Chalk Paint Again (Yes, there is a difference.)

…and number one is…drum roll, please…

1.) Hanging a curtain rod made simple (aka – Had I known this post was going to be plastered all over Pinterest, I would’ve styled my hair that day.)

Thanks for all of the clicks this year and for sharing my blog with others through your blog rolls, posts, tweets, pins and shares.

It’s funny how many of those were written before 2012!  I guess I have to step it up in 2013.
