Can someone stop the ride for just a few days? I think I want to get off.   Boy!  It’s been a crazy few days!  With my Internet being out and packing and traveling and a rush deadline and some other exciting things, I just feel like I’m going a mile a minute.  I can hardly keep up!  It’s nice to know that tomorrow will be a relatively quiet day and it will involve lots of yummy food and hanging out with my family.

For those interested in buying my ornaments, I have worked out a way to sell them that will work with everything else I have going on.  Tomorrow, an ornament trio (designed and handmade by me) will be the Wuslu Deal of the Day.  Here are the three that will be in the trio…

The clear glass bulb filled with shredded antique sheet music (this one is filled with book pages, but the ornaments I made for Wuslu are filled with sheet music.)

…The clear glass bulb drizzled with silver German glass glitter…

…and a chalkboard tag/ornament with a silver German glass glittered border.

I will probably offer up a few other ornaments and banners for sale once I pull them out of my space at Lucketts, so look out for those as well.  The deal of the day will go live tomorrow (Thanksgiving day) at 10:00 am EST, so take a break from the potato pealing and turkey basting to get a set, if you’re interested.

I know there have been a lot of events and giveaways on my blog lately, but this is the season of giving!  I have some more scheduled through December, but then things will settle down and I’m not accepting any new giveaways.  I may try changing things up a bit.  Next year already holds a lot of exciting things for me and I look forward to it all.  Thanks for hanging on for the ride!

I wrote a blog a few days ago saluting women like you and the batches of goodies you make. I have to say I really admire that you have grown to what you are and still have your hands on so much. I know from experience it is a fine line deciding when to let go of some of the creative control and ask for help. Some days I am closer to that line than others. You are amazing at what you do!

      Marian,

First, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Hope you have a safe & blessed
trip. Completely off the subject, I purchased some of the Fiddes & Sons dark wax
from Millen Hardware. It just arrived today. I was surprised to find that it is
liquid. I don’t remember that from your post. Could I have gotten a different
kind than you showed in your tutorial? I’m excited to get started on a piece I just
finished painting, but I’m afraid because this just looks like stain. Any helpful advice
      or assurances?

      Thanks,
      Susan

I can turn liquid if it’s kept at too high of a temperature. Just place it in a cool place and it will solidify again.

Quick Question—Where do you get your bulk sheet music for the ornaments you made? Thank you and have a great holiday season!

I made my recently married daughter an ornament (clear glass) with her wedding invitation shredded (strips) in it & tied with a bow from my ‘mother of the bride’ nosegay. I have to admit-it’s very awesome-think she’ll love it!
