One of the cool things about blogging is getting to share about products I enjoy. Sometimes it’s something I’ve used for years, sometimes I get to try a product I’ve never used or heard of before. When I was contacted by Goose Creek Candle Company, it was the latter. I had never heard of them, but decided to check them out. I’m not one of those people who has a candle lit every waking hour, but I do love the coziness and warmth of a scented candle on my counter top. Baking an apple pie daily to fill the house with the smells of cinnamon and nutmeg isn’t very practical for my figure or schedule, so I can just light a candle and let the same yumminess waft through the air.
Goose Creek’s candles smell so nice, but aren’t overpowering. I don’t want my house to smell like it’s been sprayed, powdered and purfumed with scents.
I’ve been burning this candle quite a bit since I got it and I’ve hardly made a dent in it. It’s definitely going to last a while.
(On a side note, my three year old thinks it’s a birthday cake and keeps pulling up a chair to blow the candle out!)
Yes, this candle smells great, but the thing I like most about it is the subtle design of the jar it comes in. It doesn’t have a big label on the front or a chunky lid. It’s just clean and simple and would work in a variety of decorating styles. With it’s basic shape, it would even be easy to stick it into a vintage box, urn, pot, basket or something like that to make it blend in even further. I honestly don’t mind having this one siting on my counter as is.
