“Garbage” sounds better in French

You know those oak country trash cans from the 80’s & 90’s? Well, this was one of them. I bought it at a yard sale for $2.00. It’s actually hand made, very sturdy & useful. So, I painted it a bright white, gave it some feminine detail in the hand painting & glass knob, and painted a plaque in French that labels this piece “poubelle” or “garbage.” Sounds better in French, doesn’t it?

    ANyway, awesome transformation though!!

  2. You did a lovely job on the little night stands. I can see why you hated to see them go. I also love your family room make-over. And the poubelle is fabulous!

  4. hello there! I just saw one of those today at goodwill, and would have had NO idea what it was if it wasn't for you! (that and the bits of dried garbage left on it… it wasn't NEARLY as lovely as yours, to say the least)

Anyway, I featured you on my blog today! Thanks so much! 🙂
