furniture feature friday | favorites & link party

Furniture Feature Friday
Well, I am so sorry for the no-show last week!  I actually had a post all ready to go and I scheduled it, but it didn’t post!  I didn’t realize it until I went to find my favorites and it wasn’t there, so I apologize for that.  I was still feeling pretty rotten from my surgery, but I wasn’t that out of it.  Anyway, I found some great favorites to share with you this week and I’ll make sure it posts this time!
This eastlake headboard by Rachel of Shades of Blue Interiors entirely makes this master bedroom makeover.  Rachel painstakingly stripped off the dark, glossy finish to expose the beauty of the old wood.  She then finished it with Danish Oil to protect it and add a luster without the gloss.  The entire room looks great!

Danielle from Finding Silver Pennies repurposed an odd-sized antique Jenny Lind bed into a functional bench.  Not only is this so clever, but it turned out beautifully.

If someone told me, “I’m going to take a cheap, old metal bar cart and spray paint it gold…”  I would be a bit skeptical.  Well, that’s exactly what Janet from Shabbyfufu did and it turned out great.

Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…
1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.
2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.
3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF. Enjoy the party!

Hope you have a great weekend ( I know it’ll be crazy busy but hopefully fun ! ) xxx

  2. Thank you for Friday Favorites Marian. My furniture piece is all there but still not all together. The job of rebuilding is taking longer than expected. Got some more gluing on two of the legs today.

  3. Umm! How about that brick floor (under the table)?! Stunning as well! Thanks so much for the feature Marian. My motto is use what you have…even if they’re freebie Ikea cubbies that have seen better days. 😉
