Furniture Feature Friday
Good evening, ladies!  I have been a little under the weather with a cold since my Toronto trip, so I’ve spent two whole days in bed, if you can believe that!  I watched a lot of Netflix and did some computer work, but I was generally useless.  I think the need for two days in bed has more to do with me just being worn out than the cold, since I’m not really that sick.  I’ve just needed some rest and time to relax.  I was still dragging a bit today, but had more energy and was excited to get in the studio.  I’m so glad I went in today.  Kriste and I worked on photo shoots and painting more furniture for the Chapel Market and the studio.  Jeff worked on building more rolling walls that will be used as dividers and photo shoot backdrops.  It was productive and fun and much more satisfying than a day in bed.  (Though we all need those days from time to time.)
So, I’m putting a punctuation on a good day with these favorites…
This red dresser by Stubbornly Crafty is a stunner.  I also love the vintage prints and toys she styled the piece with to make it playful.  I can see this bold, but classy dresser easily growing up, though, right along with the kids.

This Hollywood glam console table by Mary of Orphans with Makeup is so striking, especially in the more rustic environment it was photographed in.  The black and gold really brings out the beautiful curves and shape of the piece.

Terry from The Curator’s Collection was actually sharing an antique adding machine she found, but I am head over heels for the deconstructed wing chair and the farmhouse table/desk.  She’s created such a pretty nook that appeals to my vintage-loving eye.  The adding machine is pretty stinkin’ cool, too.

Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…
1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.
2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.
3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF. Enjoy the party!

How exiting! I would love to share a furniture on FFF. But where do I post my link? Right here?

      Good Morning Marian!
Thank you so much for featuring me this week on FFF! I just want to say how much I admire all that you have accomplished and I’m honored to be recognized on your blog. I live in a small town and the place I have my booth at has a vendor selling your milk paint, she is a lovely farm wife and does extremely well selling your product. I think I am one of her best customers :0) One question I have is, when I wash my brushes (the MMS brushes) they smell horrible after even though I shake the water out well and use brush soap. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to prevent this or is it because they’re natural bristles? Just curious :0)

Thank you again! Exhaustion can creep up fast … I’ve been there too, I hope you feel 100% again soon!

      Take care!
      Terry

I’m curious…Why do YOU have photo shoots? Are your photos somewhere? Thank you

      • marian

I do photo shoots for freelance work for magazines and I also do most of the product shoots for the lines under my brand, the look book and, of course, I need to have pictures to share on my blog!

I LOVE that Desk and deconstructed chair so much that I’m redoing my office to mimic the look! Thanks for your wonderful posts and interaction with your many fans!

Hi Marian – Was wondering why my computer just lit up!!!! …….. Oh yeah, my console table is featured. Thank you so much, Marian. So appreciated. Enjoy your blog!

Hope you’re feeling better soon! We use Umcka when we feel a cold coming on, it’s a natural product that cuts the duration or even stops it when you take it at first symptoms….just thought I’d pass on the info.

We all deserve a day (or two) in bed sometimes, especially when we are sick. Glad you’re feeling better. I find you fascinating because you work hard, because it shows. I would have never known you were sick had you not mentioned it, because you post daily. You are really on top of your game, enjoy it and keep your rewards!

Thanks so much for the party.
