furniture feature friday | favorites & link party

Furniture Feature Friday
Good evening, all!  I thought yesterday was Thursday and it was freaking me out.  I had my week planned out and I suddenly found myself way behind and totally in the weeds.  I didn’t know how I was going to get it all done.  Jeff finally informed me that it was only Wednesday.  Whew!  All was right with the world and I wasn’t as over-committed as I thought I was.
So, now that today is Thursday, here is FFF and my favorites from last week…
I love this simple, well-styled desk by Denise of Pink Postcard.  And, cross-my-heart, I picked this as a favorite and then noticed she used my paint for it.  The styling caught my eye before the paint did!

I have a soft spot in my heart for little stools.  They are so multi-functional and sweet at the same time.  Kathy from Past, Present & Patina turned an ugly, brown picnic table bench into an adorable piece.  And I love those seltzer bottles!

I think this eclectic studio by Abby of Chapter 37 is a very special space.  First of all, she had a pretty challenging room and a very tight budget to work with and really made the most of it. I also love her attitude.  In the post she shared, “I’m a firm believer in doing dress rehearsals for dreams and goals.”  This studio is a dress rehearsal for her dream shop space.  Instead of moping around, waiting for that space, she’s an example of blooming where she’s planted.

Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…
1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.
2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.
3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF. Enjoy the party!

  1. thank you marian for the great party! i love what you said ‘instead of waiting for that space, she’s an example of blooming where she’s planted. ‘ so inspirational!

  2. Thank you so much Marian for featuring my desk!! You have made a four year long dream come true! 🙂 A feature at your party. So honored, and excited. Thank you, thank you!! xoxo

  3. Marian, I’ve always loved your Friday Feature because it’s just about furniture makeovers. I love that you stress that point in your link-up rules. However, recently I’ve noticed your rules are being “overlooked” by a few posters. Look at this party for instance,,,,,,,1617Kitchen makeovers, jewelry beads, lighting, crochet hats,,,come on!! Lets keep it the way it’s always been. Just painting furniture!! Please read #1 of your rules if you’ve forgotten. I know you’re busy. Then have your assistant delete the ones that can’t read your rules. Seriously. I like your parties because you are the only one that doesn’t have “everything”. Please stay that way.

  4. Marian, thank you for the feature and for your kind words. You were a boost of encouragement today, thanks for hosting a great party every week!

dusting off the sewing machines…

It’s been a minute since I had my sewing machines out.  I had to reacquaint myself with winding the bobbins and getting the needles properly threaded, but I slowly figured it out.  The funny thing is that I needed to wear reading glasses over my contacts to thread the needles
