Copy Me Challenge Link Party!

Copy Me Challenge
It’s finally here! The official Copy Me! Challenge linkup, a la Mustard Seed Style.
Do you think you know my style?  Do you think you can emulate it?

The time has come to put your Mustard Seed savvy to the test!

How to play?
Simply link up a post that you think resembles my style. Your post can be inspired by this competition or you may enter an older post.  Just link back, so others know what you’re up to!  Feel free to enter multiple projects as well.

How is the winner chosen?

I will select the top five links that I feel captured the look and feel of my style.  I will then turn it over to Donna to select the grand winner.

What’s the prize?
OK.  Truth time.  I haven’t picked one out yet!!  Give me a break. I’m a busy girl.  🙂  I can tell you generally that the winner will receive a box of goodies similar to my “Miss Mustard Seed in a Box” prize, but even better!  Think Bakelite, Ironstone, feed sacks, sheet music, maybe something custom made by me. A box of things I love and would have in my own home.  Maybe even things from my own home!  In addition, you’ll get a big feature on my blog.

The party will be open for one week, so you have plenty of time to put something together if you want to play along.
If you created a Funky Junk inspired project, go over to Donna’s to link up there.
I can’t wait to see my style through your eyes!

  2. This is such a great idea! I am so inspired by all of the beautiful decorating and crafts. It is so nice to see that there are so many others out there who share my own interests in home decor and crafts. I really need to start my own blog….maybe someday when the kiddos are not so young! Thanks for all the inspiration ladies!!

  3. Yay – finally linked up right! (Or at least I think…haha). I linked on here last night but for some reason blogger wasn't letting me add the links back to you last night on my posts. Finally got it working just a few minutes ago, though.

LOVE all of your work. You have one of my most favorite blogs and I have so enjoyed following you!

  4. I love this idea Marian!

I can't even begin to explain how much you have inspired me and my projects over this last year. You are my "go to" girl when it comes to inspiration.

What an honor to participate in this challenge. After I get my house clean today for the Super Bowl Party tomorrow, I'm going to sit down and go through all the entries. Can't wait!

Thanks so much for hosting this. Also had a few things for Donn'as "style".

    Have a fabulous weekend.

  5. Look at all the people you inspired, Marian! Over 120 links so far. I want to copy but time hasn't been my friend this weekend. Either way, I'm having fun looking at the entries. I spotted a nearly identical sheet music dresser. How fun!!!

  6. Hey, just got to thinking that this would be the PERFECT time to German Glass Glitter my exterior siding BUT due to inclement weather, I'll have to wait 'til next year. 🙁

  7. Hi Marian, you two truly were the best in your video's, so funny made my day.
And the challenge lit quiet a little fire under me, so sorry for being a little late to the party but I didn't want to miss out. Except I channeled both of you – at the same time! Was that allowed 😉 ?

  8. Thank you so much for hosting this. I have been able to discover so many new blogs that I've done little else this weekend but read them. You picked a perfect weekend. I think there's some sort of game on between some fabulous commercials!

  9. Okay I've taken on the challenge! Of course I could never copy you so it's more of a Miss Mustard Seed style as interpreted by The Thriftress. (and I am totally kidding about those terrible collaboration names in the post!)

  10. What a super fun party. Ok' I am still fairly new to your blog.. but have seen enough to get a good vibe. I think my "Old Frame New Glaze" would totally fit your style. I think it would look great in that room with the deep teal curtains… Thanks for the link party. winks- jen

  11. When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a
comment is added I get several emails with the same comment.
Is there any way you can remove me from that service?

    Many thanks!

  12. Wow that was strange. I just wrote an incredibly long
comment but after I clicked submit my comment didn’t appear.
Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over again. Regardless, just wanted
    to say fantastic blog!
