Boucherie Sign & Some Glam

I finished several more signs yesterday and I am really excited about the way this one turned out.
This sign was hand painted on a door that was cut in half.  The wonderfully crackled paint was already on the door.  I simply sanded it, scrubbed it, and then sealed with a polycrylic to prevent it from chipping further.
I think this might be my favorite sign yet, but I’m still going to sell this one and keep my Fresh Berries sign.
I will be writing a post in the next few weeks to walk you through how I design and paint my signs.  It’s an easy process and a great creative painting outlet for me.
I love the contrast of the worn and rustic against some sparkle and beauty.  So, I made some large magnetic letters, all in different fonts, that are coated in German glass glitter.  They will add the perfect amount of “bling” to my booth.

I admire those who can paint "free hand."
The letters are a clever idea. Where does one find sheets of magnet material in PA?

    29. Debra @ Common Ground

The sign is just fabulous, it looks authentically old! And the letters are equally as cool!
      xo,

I love the Boucherie sign! It's fabulous! You do such a good job on these signs. Actually, I like the job you do on everything!! I also love the glitzy glam German Glass Glitter letters. Will you be selling these? I might want one of these!

    31. freckled laundry

Once again, beautiful! You have an unrivaled talent, Marian. I'm not usually a glam fan but I really, really love that German glass glitter! I want some for my fridge! Got a J in that pile? Or a C? I need some glam at the freckled cottage.

Also, I finished my antique crate & put that up this afternoon. Thank you for your blessing to paint it my sweet.

Looking forward to your tutorial post on signs….I have a super cute bedhead with t&g; detail and a love heart cutout that is crying out to be made into a sign…but what and how (and when, lol) is currently stumping me!

    36. SueAnn
