Are you sick of Lucketts, yet?

Well, I’m not quite done with sharing stuff about Lucketts.  I know you’ve been reading about my weeks of preparation, the show itself, and the aftermath, but there’s still a little more to share, then I promise I’m going to move on to other things.

One reason for taking video at Lucketts was practice.  I am planning on making video tutorials for all sorts of projects from painting to sewing to wood working.  I’m hoping a video will be an easier way for you, my readers, to learn how to replicate my look.  I am really excited to make these and have already learned a lot about making, editing, and posting video clips.

Speaking of video clips, I have one last one to share.  In this video, you will get a tour of some of The Old Lucketts Store.  The booth I show first is actually owned by Karen (aka The Graphics Fairy.)  I had no idea she was a vendor there or that she lives only about 30 minutes from me!  We’re definitely getting together at some point.

Notice my big wad of cash.  Yeah….it was a good weekend.

PS- I had a few questions about a sheet music wreath tutorial.  I did one several months ago that you can check out here

  1. Take it easy now! I'm sure you will be getting busy soon enough. Oh I just wanted to let you know that I used your "faux zinc" idea on 2 large frames/chalkboards! I'm going to sell them at my Open House! Thanks for the idea!

  3. I LOVE the Graphics Fairy!! and I never tire of reading about anything you have to say 🙂 I found you via, hmmm, it was either Hooked on Houses or Imperfectly Perfect. I think. Regardless, you are now on my most favorite home decor sites to share with my readers!

  4. You are a hoot!
I watched the last video tonight (If I don't pass boards I'm blaming in you and Lucketts!) Just kidding, I really enjoyed meeting you and wish you continued success in all you do! Hope to make it to your neck of the woods again soon.

  5. I love your videos. You are just so adorable!! I'm glad you got to keep your favorite signs. If I had come to Luckett's, I would have bought your cupcake sign, so you better be glad I didn't come! Glad the show was so successful for you. That is wonderful! Hope you are getting some much needed rest this weekend. You might be out spending your money!!! Love & blessings from NC!

  6. I'm not sick of it either! I also saw another pillow I like on your video- it was rectangular and I couldn't read it all but it had the word Bush on it. Anyway, it may have gotten sold but let me know! I'm glad it all went well for you and I'll look forward to more of your videos. Oh, and I'm glad you still have your two favorite signs!
One other question- do you mostly get your furniture to makeover at yardsales? I was just curious about that. Have a good weekend!

  7. I was fortunate to meet Karen last year at Lucketts! I had no idea she was "local" to me either!
I missed the Lucketts sale last week but I've been so many times and it's such a wonderful event! So glad you did so well….your stuff is amazing!

  8. No, not sick of it yet! I watched this recent video with my morning tea and enjoyed it thoroughly. I thought it very generous of you to take the time to make the film to share with us – loved it!

  9. Wow, really excited about your video tutorials on all things painting, sewing, etc. Looking forward to that.
It always amazes me how small the world is the older I get…how nice you and Karen were able to meet one another.

  10. Get used to selling things you like, it is an ongoing process. I just get things decorated in my house and then voila, I need things to sell, it is neverending and ever changing. Love your blog and the videos.

  11. Whatever you take for energy ~ I want some! 🙂 You are so very talented & creative… I'm happy that everything went so well! Now, I can't wait to see what's next to replace items in your home. You did such a great job with the videos!

Hope you relax and enjoy this long weekend ~

  12. I know this isn't the request hour or anything but pretty please with a cherry on top…if you do video, it would be great to have written instructions too – or tell us pretty detailed what the videoless are missing out on. I check my bloglines at work on lunch and on breaks but alas, don't have video streaming (bandwith issues so video and music are blocked on our servers). I want to keep reading and being inspired and will be, but will miss out (sad sad face).

Lucketts looked so so VERY fun.
Wish I lived on that side of the country.
