Furniture Feature Friday – First Link Party!

Welcome to my very first Furniture Feature Friday link party! I cannot wait to see all of the wonderful and creative furniture makeovers you have to share with me, other participants, and readers who just want to be inspired!

And here’s some great inspiration for you… My girl, Donna, over at Funky Junk Interiors is a talented lady and she proved it with this coffee table makeover. Here’s the before. Nice table, but just wait…

Whoa…What happened? Click on the pictures to get all of the details from the woman herself about how to replicate this look in your own home. I love the tile top! And you never need a stack of coasters on your coffee table again.

Doesn’t it look great in this room? I love how the color of the tile picks up the color of the stone fireplace.
And that finish is just gorgeous. Slightly distressed, but not overdone. It looks like it’s been aged naturally. Well done, Donna!
On to the link party and the GIVEAWAY! For my first giveaway, I am offering up this lovely wood tray. But, don’t be underwhelmed by that…in addition I am offering to custom paint it to your specific requests. You can also choose to have it as is if you want to give it a makeover on your own! This tray has so many uses and will be a great addition to your home or to give as a gift (the holidays are around the corner!) Feel free to view my portfolio to see what I can do with a brush.

Here are the rules:

1.) Post a permalink to your post sharing a furniture makeover. It can be simple or a total overhaul. It can be something you finished years ago or a piece that is still sporting tacky paint. If it’s a piece of furniture (or something that’s functioning as a piece of furniture), you can share it with us! The link party will be open from Thursday 10:00pm EST until Friday at midnight.

2.) It’s not a requirement, but please link back to this party, grab a button and spread the word! Also, I’d love for you to become a follower, if you’re not already.

3.) I will choose my favorite furniture makeover and award the giveaway and a feature on my blog to that individual.

Link away! I can’t wait to see all of the happy endings!

I’ve heard from some people that they would love to participate, but they don’t have anything ready. No worries, we’ll do this every week! Also, starting next week, I’ll expand the parameters to include favorite pieces of furniture, awesome buys, pieces that are on your wish list, and great arrangements/rearrangements. Really…anything that’s furniture is game! Sounds good?

  1. Oh man…I don't have my dresser ready yet. Hey I know, let's pause this for a minute so I can run out to the garage and actually start on it like I planned in the first place!

Seariously, I hate that I can't link up this week, but I will enjoy seeing everyones transformations! Have fun ladies!!!

  2. Oooh, your first linky party! I have linked up my chairs that I recently redid as part of the Procrastinator Party by Melissa of The Inspired Room. Love the tray, and you're right, how great to have in time for the holidays. I'm looking forward to checking out everyone's links!

  3. Oops! The first link I put in (I think #12) links to my recent post on fall decorating! When I realized my mistake I then put in a link to the dresser I meant to post….do you know how I can delete the #12 (which is not a furniture re-do!)

  4. Woaaaa…. thanks for the feature! I would have entered that one so instead I entered my horsegate coathook front entry deal. Can furniture hang on a wall?!? If not, then it's about the bench or the dresser in that room, sure.. ok! 🙂

Congrats on the first party! Fun!

  5. I love wood furniture – it never goes out of style – you can keep changing it and finishing it and it will always be natural and beautiful!

  6. Hurray for your first party and what a fun time! I LOVE furniture makeovers…of course you know that, so I'm so happy to be invited. 😉

I'm on a time crunch, but I can't wait to catch up and go through all of the links!

Thanks for hosting such a great party and for the generous and awesome giveaway! I HAVE seen what you can do with a brush. 🙂
