Shop Progress

I finally got a chance to look through most of the FFF posts and there were some awesome makeovers! I will post my favorites and the winner Sunday or Monday. Thanks to all who participated!

This has been my life for 2 days – painting, taping, painting, Chinese food, sick kids, Wal-Mart, painting, washing brushes, measuring, Diet Dr. Pepper, painting, early mornings, pants that are paint splattered and my husband says are “not very flattering”, painting, late nights, a little bit of blogging, painting. You get the idea?

I had to share some of the progress on our new shop with you. It is all coming together and it is so exciting! The shop owner went with my recommendation on the design and paint colors, so there was a lot of pressure for me to get this right. Here are a few glimpses of before & where we are now. Sorry for the bad pictures. Fluorescent lights and late nights do not make for good pictures.

Bathroom door in the clothing/kids area before…

…and after. The decorative painting is happening tomorrow. Fun stuff!

Shop picture from the front door before…

…and after. I turned off the lights for this shot, but it’s still not good. I’ll explain my design later, but there is still more to come!

Weird door to one of the shop windows before…

…and after. So much more light! And you can actually see into the shop, now.
Tomorrow – Bead board, swirls, harlequin, chandeliers, Diet Dr. Pepper and…painting.

  2. Good morning. Things are looking good! I'm happy for you.

I got some good news yesterday. My husband works in Harrisburg occasionally and he told me yesterday after the New Year, he will be traveling again. He promises to take me, so I'll get to see your store in person, hopefully. I love your little town.

    Blessings for the day.
