Furniture Feature Friday Link Party & Giveaway

Welcome to my third Furniture Feature Friday link party and giveaway! Make sure you check out the post below to enter my Frog Tape giveaway! It’s a great product and this is a chance to get some for free.

I have such a special giveaway for the winner of the link party this week. I came across Leslie’s blog, The Seasoned Homemaker, a few weeks ago and just fell in love with her work. She makes the most adorable vintage inspired aprons, in addition to other hand crafted items, and sells them in her Etsy store. I’m planning to buy one of these to wear when I’m painting at our shop. So much cuter than the vinyl cat apron I currently wear.

Leslie has graciously offered up one of her embroidered birds for the winner of today’s Furniture Feature Friday link party. Look at this gorgeous collection she put together! Birds are so “hot” in decorating right now and any one of these pieces (or all of them) would be a beautiful addition to any home. I love the vintage “pen and ink” look of them and how they would compliment a modern, traditional, or country style.

The bird Leslie chose for the winner is the owl. This Limited Edition embroidered owl on watercolor paper has the appearance of being a pen and ink drawing. This clever design uses four shades of rayon thread to give the owl depth. This owl was embroidered by machine and has over 14,000 stitches.

Design will fit a 5 X 7 opening. Leslie will even mat this for you if you’d like to frame it or she has a lot of other great ideas for displaying this piece. Seriously, who wouldn’t want this?

Thank you so much, Leslie, for providing this giveaway! Make sure you check out her blog and Etsy Store and let her know how beautiful her work is.
On to the feature! I spotted this chair makeover by Shanade from Home Sweet Home. Not only do I love the color and fabric choices for these once dated chairs, but I love the frilly pillows she made to soften the backs.

Look at how these chairs began. They were dated and drab. Shanade had such a great vision to see the potential in the shape of these chairs and to look past the blah upholstery. Well done, girl!

Ok, here are the rules for participating in Furniture Feature Friday –

1.) Your post has to be about furniture or home furnishings. You can share makeovers, thrifty finds, favorite furniture pieces, or great furniture arrangements.
2.) Post a permalink, not the link to your blog.
3.) The link party closes Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite to win Leslie’s embroidered Owl.

I can’t wait to see all of your furniture posts! Grab a button and link back to spread the word.

  1. Thanks so much for featuring my "new" pet station! I might add, it's not only for my two spoiled cats, but also for my precious lab/border collie, Boo. The cats definitely get more use out of it than Boo does, since there wasn't quite enough room on it for a dog bed too. 🙂

  2. that little cat desk is hilarious. If I had cats I would so do this. The giveaway is awesome too, love that little apron (far too beautiful to mess up by actually using it).
Thanks for hosting this party and letting me join.
    Love, Marianne

  3. That is the coolest pet station ever! Right in style those pets are with that beadboard trim. LOVE it!!

  4. Oh My Goodness….what a creative idea for the desk. The things we do for our pets! Love the apron.

    Have a wonderful day.

  5. How do we make Caroline's absolutely darling aprons into the next fashion trend? So cute over jeans! Too cute to be kept hidden in the kitchen! 🙂

  8. I'm kinda freaking out cause i have a changing table i used for my baby that looks just like the secretary and is now not being used… it's stuffed in a closet… oh my word what a great transformation! LOVE IT,

  9. Everything is just so charming! My faves are the sweet tea towels. I have a strange weakness when it comes to tea towels. Of course this Ozarks farm chick has many strange quirks. Guess that would make me as unique as your clever pet station.

Have the best weekend filled with blessings and time to enjoy them. God Bless!!!

  10. I thought I would have something to show this week but I had too much fun with my family and did not get my project done. I thought I would stop in and thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I have never known another dog by the name of Ladybug and was surprised that that you have had one by the same unusual name. On your question of her birthday. No real celebration. Just blogging that she had turned one. Expecting some real grown up changes soon! Obedience would be good!

  11. Oh my Goodness! I am so happy I stumbled upon this amazing blog site! Oh I just am in heaven. I am a fool for repurposing -repainting and the re do. LOVE this and will be back…often!!
