Urn & Étagère

There are over 60 Furniture Feature Friday entries so far…wow!  This is normally a pretty intimate party of about 40-50, so that is a big number.  The link party is open through Saturday at midnight, so it’s not too late to link up.
Anyway, I wanted to share my latest finds with you.  I can rarely resists a “pop-in” at my local thrift store and this visit did not disappoint.
I found this sweet aqua urn that’s the perfect color for my bedroom.
In addition, I found this 4 tiered metal and glass Étagère that looks great as-is.  It’s pretty rare that I buy something that doesn’t need a major makeover, so this is kind of a treat.  My 3 year old wanted to climb it within 24 hours of having it in the house, so despite the fact that I’ve always wanted one, I think this will end up in the shop.
I’m working on refinishing my dining room table at the moment, so hopefully I’ll have a finished product to share with you, soon.

  2. I just saw an ur like that in sun bright yellow. Your's is a fab color! Love love luv that color and how you up'd the anty by adding greenery. I love the etegere (and those gorgeous blue rimmed plates) too. Totally jealous. You do find some fab things + the not so fab you always tweak to fabulousness!!!

  3. Oh, I lust after that turquoise urn! It looks great with the bird eggs and the flowers. I love the etagere too, but it would be lost in my clutter. I envision it by itself with something fabulous on it. Have a great weekend!

  4. Aqua is soothing to me. Wonder if it's an antique?

The etagere and climbing 3 yo could be a bit tricky! The shop is most likely a good decision for its placement!

I found a MMS chair on CL. Seriously, it screamed at me through the computer. I think I bought it because of you. In fact, I'm pretty sure I did.

I think I'm starting to become odd (er).

I posted it on your furniture friday link. This blogging stuff is an absolute blast!!!

  5. Hi, Mizz Mustard..I LOVE your pretty aqua urn..it is beautiful.
And, I WANT AN ETAGERE like that….bad! So, if I lived close, I would buy it from you in a flash!!

  6. I love both!

What's more impressive to me is that you know all the fancy names to things. I can't even pronounce that e word let alone spell it!

Good thing I just like funky junky rust, eh?

I just love the simplicity of your vignettes and photos. They always make me smile. 🙂

Cool on the ever growing link party! One day I'll have a furniture something or other to enter. I hope.

  8. Beautiful urn…love the color! And I can completely understand your toddler wanting to climb the etagere…my son seems to think that any piece of furniture we have in our home is his playground!

  9. Great finds! I am thinking about heading back to the thrift store for an aqua jar I left behind to think about. Maybe it'll still be there… Miki
