Furniture Feature Friday – Favorites & a Link Party

Boy, oh boy.  You girls know how to make my heart go pitter-patter.  Some of the entries from last week…  my goodness.  I’ve said it a couple of times, but we…the furniture refinishers, antique dealers and thrift store scroungers…are making this economy hum.  I am always impressed by what I see each week, but this week gave me tingles.  There were some pieces I wanted to pluck through the screen and put in my house.  Thanks so much to all who shared and you have a lot to live up to this week!  🙂

Barb Blair of Knack Studios is a very dear friend of mine, so when I saw this piece of “Knacktastic” furniture, I immediately knew it had Barb’s fingerprints on it…except it didn’t.  This piece is a miniature made for Barb by her friend Susan at Retro Restyling.  That’s right…this is a miniature!  I didn’t realize that until I read the full post.  Anyway, I thought it was fantastic and worth sharing.

Shari from Turnstyle Vogue shared this gorgeous Empire piece.  There is something about the warmth of the wood that is just amazing.  I’m smitten.

Chrystal (aka The Shabbiest Chick) found this beautiful piece of furniture and painted it in MMSMP and the result is this authentically chippy finish that looks original to the piece.  Of course, I love the milk paint, but this piece wears it so well.  (And this piece is for sale!)

Lastly, Anne from Fiona and Twig shares some beautiful photographs of stunning pieces imported from France.  If you struggle with Francophile-antique-envy, you might not want to click over.  I know it’s probably all waaaaay out of my price range, but I loved window shopping.

Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…

1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.

2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.

3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF.

  4. Hi Marian,
Thanks for the love for my headboard. It is great seeing it here on your site. My bedroom still needs a lot of work before I can call that project finished but I think it will have to wait until I return from NY.
    Have a great weekend!

  5. Wonderful projects! I have to admit I'm such a fan of that chalkboard mini fridge – so much so that I showed it to my daughter who will be headed to college next year. Wouldn't that be a great addition to a dorm room?
