I’ve mentioned my distain for the task of doing laundry on more than a few occasions here on the blog and even in my book.  It’s not that it’s a horrible, draining, back-breaking task, but it’s never ending.  You finish and there are already dirty clothes piling up in the hamper.  It’s never done.  And I am a person who likes done-ness!

I have found that a lot of these never-done household chores cause me stress.  I wish I could turn off the switch that makes me intolerant of a dirty, messy space, but I just can’t.   So, Jeff and I have been working together to find ways to keep the household running smoothly and my stress levels down.

We’ve found some good solutions for cleaning, cooking, dishes, and money-management, but the laundry has still been an area of inefficiency…mostly because we were working with a washer and dryer that were bottom of the line when we bought them ten years ago.  We had been talking about getting a new set and it became more pressing when loads had to be washed twice because soap was clumped to all of the “clean” clothes and when towels had to be dried for over two hours.  (No exaggeration!)

Our best intentions to get all of the laundry done in a day would always drag into two or three days.

So, we started researching washers and dryers, waiting for the right time to purchase a new set.

LG Electronics was the brand I gravitated to from the beginning.  Their machines had great reviews (which can be hard to find for appliances) and, to be completely honest, they just look cool!  Their designs definitely play to people like me, who like things to be beautiful as well as functional.

So, we bought an LG washer/dryer set and, oh my word.  A whole new world of laundry possibilities have been opened to me.  There are many settings and options, so that each load, from bulky items to delicates, gets its own customized washing plan.

Anyway, believe it or not, this post isn’t about the washer and dryer.  I just had to mention those to get to what the post is about.

Multitasking.

LG has come out with a mini washing machine that partners with your LG washer (front loading LG washer from 2009-present), by fitting in the existing footprint of an LG pedestal.  It’s called the LG SideKick™.

See that little hidden secret under the washer?

When I first told Jeff about it, he asked what in the world we would do with a little washer underneath the full-sized washer.  Clearly he never noticed the “Marian pile” of clothes and linens in our laundry area that are set aside for me to wash by themselves, once the larger loads are done.

These are mostly pieces that need special care washing, like my linen dresses…

…swimsuits, “dainties” (as one of my friends used to call undies and such), and antique textiles that I’m washing to use or sell…

Those rarely go in the dryer, so I can have my own laundry day with delicates while the regular laundry is happening!

Multitasking, sweet multitasking.

While delicates are what I will mostly use it for, there are six different wash cycles that offer a combination of wash motions, temperatures, rinse cycles and spin speed, so it can be used for more than just delicates.

It’s also great for small loads.  My youngest son has a pair of footie-hoodie jammies that he wears all the time and it is a sad night when they can’t be worn because they are dirty or in the middle of being washed.  I can see throwing those in the LG SideKick on an off laundry day to make sure they are clean for bedtime.   And I like the idea of throwing in my favorite pair of jeans for a washing without feeling wasteful about it!

If you’re in the market for a new washer, between now and July 13, 2016, LG is running a promotion in which customers can purchase an LG Front Loading Washer and LG SideKick starting at $999.

And, even better, LG is offering a giveaway for an LG SideKick washer to one of my readers.  Here are the details to enter…

  1. Oh my! We are moving into a new house in a couple months and this would be perfect!! I am always doing smaller loads of laundry and feel wasteful for it!

  2. What’s the energy/water consumption like compared to other front loaders – especially with that little washer included? I live in a rural area – wells and septic tanks. Not sure that something like this would be good for folks in my situation tho I’m sure it’s fine if you’re on a municipal system. When we purchased a washer/dryer set a year ago upon moving into our century home withbit’s ancient – and small – septic tank/field, minimizing water use and grey water waste was our number one priority. We ended up with a Miele system – pricier but worth it for the piece of mind.

    Still gate laundry tho. Sigh.

  3. With a family of 6 we always have lots of laundry and the ability to do small loads at the same time as larger ones would be a huge time saver!

  4. …kitchen towels that make the machine musty if not washed right away! Super cool!

  5. These look absolutely dreamy! I’m moving to a new house that needs sooo much work and these would be a bright spot amongst the chaos! And I can totally relate to those “one-offs” that never end up being washed because there’s never enough time for a small, separate load. Such a great idea!

  6. I have an LG washer and love it, this would be icing on the cake! Lots of small loads of nursing bras and baby clothes around here.

  7. I’ve been collecting antique linens and vintage dresses for years…having to wash them in a load by themselves when I have a house full of laundry already means – you guessed it – they’re last in line to get washed, and I don’t get to use/wear them as often as I’d like to! I already have a white LG front load washer/dryer set, so the sidekick would match perfectly! Thanks for hosting this giveaway 🙂

  8. Kind of a cool idea. I could wash whites (always my smallest load) when it’s just a few days worth of socks instead of a weeks worth. My son is the original million sock man.

  9. I’m a huge fan of LG appliances. We have, among other items, an LG television, DVD player and we been nothing but pleased with it all. I’m planning a laundry room remodel project in the near future and winning this set would be amazing!

  10. We recently purchased an LG refrigerator and love it. Our washer and dryer is next and I would love to get an LG. The sidekick is such a great idea.

  11. Wow! Are we due for an upgrade. Our last matching washer-dryer pair was 40 years ago! Thanks for the opportunity Marion.

  12. Our machine is on its last legs – this would be an amazing upgrade. Plus smaller loads for our kiddos’ clothes would be super easy in the smaller washer.

  13. We are building a home and need to get a few appliances two being the washer and dryer so this suggestion of LG is right on time for my research. Will be looking into them because I too like pretty

  14. Thanks for the giveaway! I’d love to have all the latest features!! I feel the same way about laundry that you do – I want it done.

  15. My LG front load washer and dryer are a little over 8 years old and still run like new! Will never buy another brand of washer/dryer. Would love to add a sidekick to the mix as it would be great for small wash loads

  16. Someone was thinking- that’s smart! I love the LG washers and dryers. Our set is pretty much the same condition as yours, we really need to upgrade and the sidekick might be the thing that convinces me to!

  17. I’d love to own an LG sidekick because it will make my laundry experience more enjoyable and funner! 😀

  18. The sidekick sounds awesome! There’s been several times when all I have is a small load of laundry left and I’m just like “Meh, I’m not wasting time/water to wash 3 shirts.”

  19. I love clever ideas and this is so clever. I bet it was designed by a woman who washed her dainties in a large washer and thought there had to be a better way.

  20. Same! Multitasking! I have so much laundry at all times, but sometimes want to throw income or two rank towels or pillowcases or something else that you wouldn’t think could get so gross without wasting a whole load.

  21. We are in the market of looking for a replacement for our second hand molded, handle and knob broken front loader. Whoever at LG that thought of the Sidekicker had busy moms in mind. What a beautiful idea! Will definitely put the LG Sidekicker down on my list of possibilities. ?

  22. This looks great. We are in need of a new washer. I would use it for all handwashables.
    Jo

  23. I would love to have this little thing. I would use it to wash my son’s school uniform shirts and pants.

  24. i think its a nice washer and having one we save me money doing laundry as i wait for the clothes to pile up to wash and its quite messy and to have this would be like a breeze no more piling up just to save money this would be perfect

  25. I keep hoping the washing machine that came with my rental breaks down so I have an excuse to get an LG Washer to match the LG Dryer I got last fall (and LOVE!) An LG Sidekick would be the perfect companion and oh, so helpful, for washing the fabrics I use when making my quilts.

  26. With #4 to arrive in just weeks, this would be so very handy for the miscellany that accompanies babies! I always have a stack of “smalls” waiting on the right accompanying laundry to make a load.

  27. I have four kiddos under the age of four, plus my hubby ? This washer would be a miracle!!!

  28. There always seems to be a uniform or 2 that needs washing mid week after the regular loads are done.

  29. I would love one of these. we lost every our house getting flooded so now I have to replace everything. The insurance is not replacing much and are giving us a hard time.. it stinks.

  30. Our washer and dryer came from the previous owners when we bought our home and I have read reviews about how they have caught on fire! Eeeks! I’ve been very slow and resistant to newer technology (by new I mean front load machines) and I’m stubborn in staying with top load machines. However, this LG machine sounds and looks soooo neat and the sidekick feature is just what we need on a machine for our family! We’ll be looking for a machine with this feature from now on! Thank you so much for sharing this and for the sponsored offering , Marian and LG! Anyone would be so blessed to have this!

  31. I think the Sidekick is a great idea for all the small loads that just shouldn’t wait, but are a waste in the regular washer.

  32. Our washer is on its last legs too… Will certainly look into LG brands. The Sidekick would be a huge bonus?

  33. While the LG looks real cute, I hate a front loading machine. Once it starts you’re out of luck. I want the ability to lift the lid up if I want to add something or adjust measurements. And while “fun” I dislike all the gadgets and options. Gimme hot, cold, slow to fast cycles – that’s it! All that technology becomes a fortune to fix when something blinks the wrong way. OK, off my soapbox! (yes, that sidekick is cute!)

  34. Wow! Thank you for giving us a chance to win this!! I always have small piles sitting in my laundry room but put them off because there isn’t enough to wash!

  35. Thanks for sponsoring such a generous giveaway, and for introducing me to this awesome new mini-washer! I do small loads for cold/light and cold/dark loads that don’t go into the dryer, and this would be perfect!

  36. You always make me feel so good. I thought I was the only one with a pile of hand washables that seems to never get washed. I always save them for when I have time and that rarely happens. And your right it’s mostly my clothes. A washer that would help with that would be a dream come true!

  37. Oh My! I am using the oldest washer on the planet..and avoid the laundry like the plague…This would be a huge help in my life.

  38. What coincidental post! My daughter and I were in Home Depot last night and walked by the LG Sidekick. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw that wonderful piece of machinery peeking out of the bottom drawer. I wondered out loud that I wish I knew someone with this machine so I could get an honest review instead of a just a sales pitch. My dh works away from home for two weeks at a time so with just my daughter and myself sometimes we only require a small load, and of course the linens and lingerie.

  39. Wow, this would be great!! My son just started a new job in food service and they only gave him one shirt. We could definitely use the Sidekick when he works 4 days in a row to wash just his uniform!!!

  40. Oh my. This is the most fabulous thing I have ever seen! Such a brilliant idea!

  41. What beautiful machines! The side kick would be perfect for washing really dirty rags or other small things that I don’t like mixing into a larger load. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  42. I love that you can run two loads at once and that you can run a small load if you need to without being wasteful!

  43. What a great giveaway! I would love these for helping with our cloth diaper routine!

  44. I would like a better cleaning machine, as well as extra load-ability with four kiddos and cloth diapering!

  45. I would love to own one for the ability to do very small loads and do two loads at the same time, so efficient.

  46. I would love to own this washer because it is more efficient due to being able to run a smaller load.

  47. This would be a great thing to win! Our washer doesn’t even get clothing clean.

  48. I never heard of the side kick, but I love the idea. ..but not quite as much as I love your style and blog.

  49. I, too, have items that I like to wash separately from the main laundry, so the LG Sidekick would be fantastic to use!

  50. Wow! As grandparents it would be great to have a small load washer for times when just a few things are needed for the two of us, but the large washer for when family comes – especially each year at family reunion time at our house! Thanks for the opportunity Marian and LG!

  51. Washing clothes with an LG Sidekicker would just be darling! I’ve had the same problem expressed in this post, where my dryer does not dry and my washer washes when it wants to. I have been on the market for a new washer and dryer for a long time now but something but when we are really looking in to getting them, something else comes up or needs to be replaced. I really hope to win!

  52. I love doing laudary. I always think of my beloved mother of nine children when she used her Maytag ringer washer and hung clothes on the clothes line with wooden pins.. She was a perfectionist. The LG looks like it would be a pleasure to do laundary.

  53. Strictly for my mommy. She would absolutely love this! She is the hardest working momma I know and I’m sure this would give her a break!
P.S. Love Miss Mustard Seed. I got her book for my birthday and loved it! Her ideas and stories are amazing!

  54. Did not know these existed until I read Your post. I would love to have the LG Sidekick.

  55. I have an old washing machine and I’m constantly battling a bad smell with it. Would love this washing machine and the sidekick feature is generous!

  56. I have never heard of this! It actually would be useful, in my opinion! Thanks!

  57. I already have to get a new dryer thanks to a mysterious “lint” issue, love to get a washer as well! No matter what I do (including taking the lint tray completely apart 3 times) our dryer still won’t work and just keeps flashing its mysterious “lint screen” message at us, like a hopeless message out into the ether, or an alien trying to phone home. haha

  58. We’d love to win this!! We will be in the market for a new laundry set soon, and I love this idea! With four boys including twin babies, laundry is never done…

  59. Our dryer has stopped drying recently, and while we try to figure out if it can easily be fixed or if we need to buy something else, I see this post! I would probably use the sidekick for whites – my husband seems to wear only colored clothes, so I usually have to wait a while to do a load of my whites!

  60. For the very necessary washing of “blankie” that needs to get done fast to be ready for bed time. 🙂

  61. this is awesome!!!! as being the only female in a household of males i understand the danties load. this would really be a huge time saver. thanks for the opportunity!

  62. My washer and dryer are the first I ever purchased over 32 years ago! I think I’m ready to step into this century!

  63. I agree. The right washer/ dryer can make a huge difference in time and how well your laundry turns out in the end. I can see the sidekick would be such an advantage. I always seem to have those couple of things that have to wait and wait bc they can’t be washed with a regular load. I think it’s a great idea.

  64. I have read your blog for years. It is always the first thing I do when I turn my computer on, but as of the last few weeks, the advertisements have been intolerable. I noticed it on the other blog I read occassionally. There are advertisements on the bottom of the screen that you can’t “X” out of at all, making viewing your photos very limited. Then there are the advertisements in between your photos and content, that are distracting, but at least I can scroll past them. I know you all make some of your income from advertising, but at this point, when you can see more advertising than your lovely content, I will probably stop reading. It’s just too difficult and frustrating when you want to enjoy a well written, beautiful and peaceful post to have things flashing at you and covering up the content. I will check in from time to time to see if it has improved, but it just leaves me frustrated instead of peaceful and inspired like it used to, and in my opinion, your reason for posting has been lost.
    Sincerely,
    Cindy

  65. I’d love to own an LG SideKick because it would make washing my yoga and workout clothes so much easier!

  66. That washer is AMAZING! I’d love to have it to replace my old washer, which sounds like it’s moaning and groaning with every load!

  67. my washer is 20 years od and doesn’t do as good a job as it used to. The LG washer looks amazing!

  68. We have a large LG washer which I love but it would be so great to have one with the smaller washer too! I would use it for for all of “my” items too 🙂

  69. I would love to be able to wash the swim clothes separately from the rest of the boys dirty clothes!

  70. I’d like to be able to run smaller loads as well as run both washers simultaneously.

  71. Oh my! What a dream machine!!! This amazing washer would be such a blessing to our home! All the ‘danities’ and future baby clothes would fit right in! Our washer came with our home and I am soo thankful for it. But it’s been kicking for a longer time than we expected. And will have to be replaced soon. I hope with this beauty!!

  72. What a great feature! I’m like you and have a pile of my stuff that can’t go in the regular wash. My husband just shakes his head, doesn’t understand why that stuff can’t go with the others. 🙂

  73. Oh boy. I would love to win a the LG SideKick! Our laundry process has needed an overhaul for years. I so get it about wanting to “finish” and feeling like that mountain of dirties is constantly growing behind you. It would be great to have this machine for my husband’s cycling clothes. They have to be washed separately and don’t go in the dryer. The SideKick would be perfect for that. Thanks for the giveaway, Marian. Even if I don’t win, I appreciate the info!

  74. I feel bad when I throw my little pile of hand wash items in my big sized washer! This would be a great compliment to my current washer!

  75. I absolutely LOVE being able to wash the delicates and dainties without interrupting my regular wash day. What a great idea!!

  76. This would so so lovely to win and use! I have a uniform for work, along with two very active teens. This would save me an ENORMOUS amount of time on laundry 🙂

  77. That is a sweet washer/dryer combo! Pretty and efficient? Yes please! I’d love to have a new washer and dryer because my set is 12+ years old and had to have big repairs last year. My sweet husband has warned me they’re on their last legs. Also, we’re planning to finally finish our basement laundry room and it would be wonderful to have pretty, new appliances in there.

  78. I would love to win an LG sidekick because my washer is getting old and is outdated for my needs. I would love to win one of these amazing washers!

  79. I have an LG washer so this would be perfect. We are on tail-end of potty training the youngest so the little one would be great for that when there isn’t a whole load of stuff or you don’t want to mix other stuff in with the gross. Great giveaway!

  80. OH my, my!! I would almost be in laundry heaven with this sidekick! Thanks for offering the giveaway, Marian.

  81. This looks amazing! Would be perfect for my my little girl’s heirloom pieces and my linen???

  82. I too have that other laundry pile of delicates and it takes me forever to do laundry because of it. Would love this!

  83. Oh my gosh! This is my exact issue! I have a mini laundry basket that piles up with my delicates that either rarely get washed or cause laundry to drag out for a week because it’s such a tiny load compared to everything else. This Sidekick would be such a dream!

  84. We are in the process of remodeling-as-time-and-money-allow, our basement laundry room/bathroom… Our broken-knobbed washer and dryer get the job done, but I’d be one step closer to to upgrading those eyesores with an LG set!! Thanks for the chance!

  85. What is it about miniature, tiny things I find so stinkin’ cute! A miniature tiny washer?! I can’t. I always have an extra pile of dainty linens, delicates I set aside…and I feel wasteful using an entire wash cycle just to wash a handful of items. With the LG sidekick…problem solved! How wonderful it would be to win!!

  86. 1. I also have my laundry in an ugly old basement
    2. I also have a really old washer/dryer that were not that great to begin with

  87. This would be an amazing upgrade to my 10 year old washer and dryer!

  88. I have a 20 year old rusted WD set that just won’t quit! A win here and I’d have an excuse to give them away 🙂

  89. I love any machine that makes my life easier! This looks like a good one. I love the carpet and basket too 🙂

  90. This is GENIUS! I NEED this immediately. Thank you LG for creating a solution for all families out there!

  91. Ahhhh! I would LOVE this little sidekick because I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my LG washer. I purchase it two years ago and it was the best money ever spent!

  92. Excellent Sidekick! We all need a sidejick b/c those handwash/special items always pile up. my laundry area is buried. I’d lick one please.

  93. I would love to win because I have a lot of laundry to do all of the time…

  94. Very cool little add in that are not on other washers!! It is a great idea
    I would so use that!

  95. Oh my what a Grrrrrrreat giveaway!!! Thank you Marian and LG!!!!! I could certainly use this Sidekick for my small loads and my delicate personal items!!! I am loving LG TV’s as our sons and families bought us an LG TV for Christmas and it has the clearest picture I have ever seen!!! I am sure this new LG product is the same highest quality out there!! Love the idea and innovation of the LG Sidekick!! I really want to win this item!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tks, js

  96. Oh wow, I really want to win this washer and dryer! I am grateful to have what we currently can afford. But the old stackable that we have, spits out water on a full spin cycle, and leaves lint all over our clothes, not to mention the floor. This would save me time and money in lint roller refills.?

  97. I love everything about this! I’ve dreamt about having the sidekick because I hate doing tiny loads in a normal washer because of all the water wasted!

  98. The sidekick would CHANGE my life – I too always have the “Marian” pile – it’s called the “Tracy” pile here ? – I love to use vintage and antique napkins and they seem like they are always waiting for their turn for a bath ! No more with the sidekick !

Pick me – pick me ❤️

  99. The LG Sidekick is such a great idea for all those small loads that mysteriously appear!

  100. Oh my-this is perfect timing as my clunky, old, malfunctioning washer and dryer are in need of an efficient replacement- here’s crossing my fingers…squeal!! 🙂 Thanks MMS and LG

  101. Love.this. can certainly help when I have accident on my clothes from my foster dogs.

  102. Our current washer is so rough on clothes. Sheets have been torn, socks have disappeared, and shirts have been stretched out. I’d love to win this sidekick so I can buy a new LG washer!

  103. I want to win as my washer is on its last legs. It needs replacing soon rather than later.

  104. This would be awesome to win! Laundry would be done and put away, the the kids and husband come home. In less than 10 minutes, it looks like I never did the laundry!

  105. Man, do I need those or what??!! Why, yes! Yes, I do!!
My current washing machine leaks during the ‘small load.’

  106. I love this feature! I have a special needs son who I have to clean up after regularly. Washing mini loads of t-shirts and towels from another throw up would be awesome!

  107. This little helper is exactly what I need to help with the never-ending cycle of un-doneness! It would be so lovely to kick back with a glass of wine and know that the house is finally clean top to bottom with no delicates or forgotten specialty wash items hiding in a corner or the bottom of a basket somewhere!

  108. When I saw this give-a-way I thought, OMG they know how bad I need this. I have been looking at new washer & dryers for some time now. I need them sooo badly. The LG is my favorite mainly because of the “Sidekick”. But to afford these awesome washer, dryer and Sidekick, well is just not in my budget. Actually nothing is in my budget right now. So I put up with my washer lid falling on my head, having to to spin my loads at least two times to get the water out of the clothes and fix my loads over and over to keep them from getting out off balance. My dryer sometimes will not shut off. We really have to make sure we watch the time it has been on. Scared it will catch on fire. Anyway to maybe win this Sidekick might take a bit of the financial edge off. This is AWESOME!

  109. What an awesome idea, I love the thoughtof doing a mini load of laundry.

  110. What a brilliant innovation! — Leave it to LG to once again outperform their competition. This will be a God-send to any woman to have the option to treat her undergarments & business / evening wear / sports / swim wear to their special washing care needs without having to wait for a full load.

  111. We are going on 12 years with our current washer and dryer, so I understand about long drying cycles, especially towels! UGH! I love LG and would be so excited to win a new washer!

  112. I have LG appliances, too, and I love them. They are super-efficient. I am not a lover of laundry (except when it is clean and folded in my dresser!). The side-kick would be an awesome addition!

  113. Love the idea of a mini wash! There’s always something that needs to be washed in a special way.

  114. Well my front loader leaks all over the floor when I use the handwash oe express cycle so I would d love a new one so I can kick my old one to the curb!!!!

  115. With a baby on the way I think a sidekick would be amazing when we have an accident and need something washed fast and don’t have a whole load

  116. Hello, I think I’m in LOVE! I’ve never seen or heard of this, but it’s absolutely AWESOME!

  117. It would be so wonderful to win a new washer–I’m due for a new one!

  118. This is Genius…..BRILLIANT..I live in an apartment and this would be ideal..I been on a quest for a washer to suite my needs and boom, here it is!!!LOVE!!!

  119. Oh my to be able to do delicatessen without waiting for a huge pile would be awesome!!!!

  120. What a wonderful giveaway and an awesome replacement for my aging washer and dryer!

  121. Ooohhhh! I love my LG washer and dryer! A sidekick would be an awesome addition!

  122. I noticed these washers in a recent commercial and told my husband about it. He looked at me like I was dreaming! So it was great to see it on your blog. Agree that it would be wonderful to have and use right now, as I listen to my washer growling at me. I will keep dreaming………..

  123. i currently have a 10

i currently have an old washer and dryer as well., would love the LG sidekick what a great idea!

    =

  124. Just when I thought no other great ideas could be invented in washing…this comes out! I would use this feature almost daily to wash our delicate blouses and those last minute, “Mom, I desperately need my ____'” Good job, LG. PLEASE keep making life easier.

  125. Great for those little loads that never get done until you finally have a full load.

  126. I was so excited to see this post today! I have been looking at getting a new LG washer and dryer to replace my 8 year old set that 8 just know is going to go out anytime.

  127. what a neat feature! we are using an older washer/dryer set that works great, but i was just thinking how one/both is going to die one of these days. what a great washer option to replace w/! thanks for sharing your new multi-tasking tool & giveaway!

  128. These sound terrific. I would love the small washer for red clothing. It would be so handy for smaller loads. Thanks for the giveaway.

  129. I think the Sidekick would be great for small 1-2 person households. Sometimes there isn’t enough laundry!

  130. Wow….thanks for such a great giveaway. How great to do a small load of anything and not feel guilty about using too much water.

  131. We are in need of new Washing appliances and the LG models are at the top of the list. This would make a perfect companion.

  132. fabulous giveaway, fabulous machine! i hate my washer, consequently it will live forever. ugh. i will go to sleep and dream of this tonight…..

  133. I have the LG washer and dryer that the sidekick goes with and I’ve been wanting to add it and the pedestal for the dryer.

  134. This is an awesome giveaway! I would love one for special items that i need to put in by themselves! I would love one of these!!!

  135. The bottom of the line washer that leaks and squeaks, that is over 15 years old, would love to be replaced by this beauty!
I actually don’t mind doing laundry because I feel like I’m multi-tasking, like the washer is washing while I’m cleaning the floors! So I’m getting twice the work done! It’s perspective, right?

  136. This LG washer/dryer edition is so amazing! I never thought this was even a possibility! My husband and I strive extremely hard for everything we have and would love to actually win something for once! We have an old washer/dryer set from years ago, and although it’s done me good, it’s time is certainly up. I LOVE YOU LG! 🙂

  137. Great idea. I’d use it for all the linens I sell in my booth. I cringe when the washer fills with water for only a handful of items.

  138. Wow! That is one cool washer! I have several linen dresses too that do best in separate gentle wash. Also like to wash my husband’s sweaty workout clothes separately, so the side kick is perfect!
No more wasting water out here in drought-ridden California!

  139. Laundry is endless! Thank you for the recommendation. I have to say though, I’m super surprised you don’t line dry when the weather allows. I could just see you raving about the sunshine and fresh air smell of crisp line-dried laundry.

  140. That’s a really cool washer, but my set is pretty new. HOWEVER, my son has just purchased a new home and could really use this washer! Thanks so much for offering this giveaway, Marion!

  141. I’d love to win one because in a household of just one, it’s either wait a while to accrue enough dirty clothes to justify a load of laundry or feel guilty for washing just a few things. I hate hand washing clothes but sometimes resort to it when an item that I want to wear needs cleaning first.

  142. I own 6 dogs…3 crates … car bed…1 cot…2 floor beds…1 big bean bed…MY bed…blankies..pillows…sheets…towels…BATHED every week…placemats at meal time AND inside crates!!!! 6 DOGS. Laundry is truly NEVER ENDING!!!!

  143. I have an LG washer and dryer w. LOVE THEM. This would be a wonderful addition !!!

  144. oh no! I hit that I “follow” on twitter, but only got my “@” symbol in before i hit enter – my username is @Pltmarket

  145. Amazing giveaway….planning to update my washer and dryer….have been researching different makes and models…..thanks for you review on LG!!

  146. OK … that’s the coolest thing I’ve seen in a LONG time. And I’m with you … I hate laundry bc it’s NEVERENDING. 🙂

  147. Wow this sounds awesome! I’m in the same boat you are about laundry taking sooooooo long. It would be great to win this.Thank you for the opportunity.

  148. Looks awesome! I do tons of tiny little loads or delicates and this would be wonderful!

  149. Wow! Would l love to have one of these. It would make laundry day a more pleasant experience.
Thanks for the giveaway. Love your blog as always.

  150. Really does make laundry a lot easier doesn’t it. I would love to have one for our home.

  151. I have certain things that really it is best just to wash them on their own, but I am loath to fire up the entire washer to do it. So, they sit in the hamper!

  152. I have to fight to get my laundry done with not being the only one in this house that does laundry! So having this would so help me be able to do alot of my own clothes and not worry about who might have the washer already in use!

  153. I’d love to own one of these to use for all my athletic wear and unmentionables. It’s the perfect size for those items.

  154. That is the coolest thing I’ve seen for washing in s long time! Never seen or heard of a sidekick but it sounds awesome!

  155. We just moved into our new house and the only new appliances we were not able to purchase was a washer and dryer. This would be awesome to win!!!

  156. Wow, what a great idea! I would love to win a sidekick. It would be great for delicate that I ordinarily put in with regular wash because there aren’t enough for a full load. Thanks for the chance to win.

  157. I have a fairly new (2 years old) LG front loader washer/dryer set already, and would LOVE to win the Sidekick, for exactly the reason you mentioned, Marian…. my “dainties” and other hand wash items are always a smallish load that doesn’t need the huge load capacity of the the big LG. Plus I always tend to save those things for last, so as not to hold up the rest of the family’s laundry, and so….. I go without my fave things. Great giveaway!

  158. My daughter has LG front loader set. She absolutely loves it. Lots less time, lots less soap AND the clothes look great. Wish I had LG at my house!

  159. To have a new totally up to date washer would be terrific, and help to eliminate some of the mundaneness in doing laundry.

  160. Was just sitting here, reading your blog, having a cup of tea as I ogled your new beauties. Ironically, the repair man is here working on my dryer!!!!! Tuesday he will return to work on the washer. Gosh…..since moving into our new home…….(previously loved……or not)……our w/d died a sad death. Sears is trying ro resurrect!!!!!
Thank for doing this post and giveaway……….it gave me a boost of HOPE. A little hope on the 4th of July weekend is a GOOD thing!!!!

  161. This is such an exciting giveaway! My husband and I just bought our first house (yay!) and it isn’t coming with a washer and dryer so this would be super fantastic for our little family. I love the mini-wash for my kids immediate needs- so cool!

  162. The new sidekick washer would be wonderful to use. Thanks for the opportunity to win one!

  163. I’m a single parent with 3 girls and 1 boy. A new washer (that worked) especially with a sidekick for the inevitable “MUST HAVE CLEAN THIS MINUTE, PLEASE MOM” extras would be wonderful. Thanks to you and LG for this opportunity.

  164. Awesome idea! Would love to win this….
I have had LG products before and have been very pleased with them.

  165. Would love to experience a laundry day where I can get two loads done at once. No more waiting for the hand wash/delicates to get washed!

  166. bought my daughter an LG washer/dryer set when she bought her house a few years ago. They are amazing and I love them. Alas, have not made a similar purchase for myself so this woud be the perfect incentive to get me going!

  167. This looks awesome what a cool idea! I would love to see a post on styling a basement laundry room in an older house. ?

  168. I love it Marian, for all the reasons you mentioned. Also, because I seem to run out of our linen napkins every other day! Kitchen laundry is a great reason for it!
    Karen

  169. I just seen this in an advertisement the other day! I am so in need of a washer and dryer. Our dryer is like 100 years old (ok, maybe 20) and we bought a new washer about 3 years ago and it has already broken down several time. I will have to look into this offer!

  170. I need a new washer. This would be perfect. Like you I have things that require just a small load.

  171. PERFECT solution for delicates – our small batch of reds (support our troops) but most of all the just before bed time frantic words “Mom, can you wash my gym clothes for tomorrow?” or the “Please wash my favorite jacket, I can not go to school without it!”

Love the idea – a busy washer/dry for busy lives!

  172. The washer and dryer that I’ve had for over 15 years is about to die- this would be perfect!

  173. A good washer and dryer can definitely make all the difference. I have a Bosch washer that actually wets your clothes and only fills with as much (or little) water as needed. It doesn’t even have an option for small, medium or large loads. So you can just throw a pair of jeans in and not feel bad about the water usage. Being we live in Arizona water conservation is very important.

Another trick I have learned along the way to 60 years old, is to have 3 hampers (those mesh pop up light weight hampers) in white, blue (for lights) and black.
When you take off your clothes you just toss in the appropriate hamper. When you have enough whites, for example, you just do a load. No sorting!!! Fortunately our closet is big enough to put these pop up hampers in.
I also have a “regular” hamper with a lid that looks nice and keep it in the bathroom for only towels and wash cloths. Again no sorting.
    Saving time anyway I can.

  174. Marian,Marian. Apperently have OCD. I clean, clean and clean some more! I hate anything out of place…especially when JP does not hang the wet towels exactly right in the bathroom or place them in the laundry basket marked TOWELS! Now about that LG washer dryer…. congrats!!! I have been an LG fan for some 12+yrs I even convinced my Mom to switch …she has not looked back once. That said I have my eye on your pick but I have one little problem… Do not tell I cannot buy another Front-load I can not handle the after smell nor the constant scrubbing of the rubber inside the door/ drum. Sorry LG… I need a top load!

  175. Beautiful washer & dryer! I’ve been washing all of my clothes on the gentle cycle to extend the life of my 10+ year washer. The LG’s would certainly enhance my laundry room/pantry decor!!

  176. Oh WOW! How this would be the greatest thing ever… I have also heard good things about LG new the time would be coming that we will need to replace.

  177. I absolutely love these! In the process of building my home and have these picked out already!!! They are beautiful!

  178. It would be great to be able to wash cloth napkins without having to “wait” to wash them. I love all the reasons you mentioned as well.

  179. Hey,Marian , this is a great idea. I keep a pile of kitchen towels until there is enough for a full load. With the sidekick, I could wash smaller loads and not feel like I’m wasting soap, water and bleach . If you have ball uniforms, a few nice blouses or a favorite jacket, you just drop it in the sidekick while a regular load is washing. I have used a front loader for 17 years. I have never had a problem with the smells that a lot of people complain about. I rinse mostly with vinegar and leave the door open between use.

  180. Oh wow! What a great machine! My washer and dryer are getting so old and I am hanging on as long as possible. We live on the coast and have company quite a bit, so it would be nice to have a snazzy new machine for beach towels and linens.

  181. Washcloths. They are wet and damp, and what to do…wait until you have a pile? I like that I could wash them right away. Also, Uniforms. To wash and use the next day without waiting for laundry day. This is such a neat product. Thanks for the info.

  182. Good grief! I didn’t know that something like this existed 🙂 I have tons of small loads that I NEED this for 😉

  183. I too have clothes I wait to wash separate, this would be awesome! We also just bought an LG washer and dryer, I love it. I once had an appliance repair man tell me LGs are the appliances he repairs the least, it was his brand of choice.

  184. This looks amazing! We have a washer that my grandparents bought us from an estate sale when my hubby and I were first married… We add very grateful for it but this would be amazing! Ours leaks water everytime you use it! Haha

  185. Whoa Marian… lots of posted comments… hope this is the one chosen randomly. I’d like to multi task AND do smaller loads instead of waiting for full loads to do.

  186. I would love one so I can wash my kitchen towels because my sweet son is getting himself a new kitchen towel every time he comes into the kitchen. He is about to drive me bananas with it. I could wash my kitchen towels every day with that machine. And it is swim time so we could put our suits in there when we get back from the pool. Thanks for the giveaway!! 🙂

  187. I would love it for baby clothes. We go through so many onsies a day, it would be nice not to do a full load.

  188. I also was waiting 2 hours for a load of towels to dry. I thought my drier was on its way out. Then my washer died & I was forced to buy a new washer. What a difference! Turns out my drier was fine. The old washer wasn’t getting enough water out of the laundry. Now towels take less than 40 minutes in the drier. As an added plus I can hang towels out on the clothesline & they’ll will be dry in 2 hours.

  189. LG is a great company! Love their products, I have a LG french door refrigerator. I gave my daughter a LG washer/dryer 2 years ago because her old ones , not LG, were in pretty bad shape! But, still have my old washer and even older dryer, new LG washer/dryer set would be wonderful!

  190. I would love a sidekick for doing delicates or small loads since the hubs and I are empty nesters!

  191. I live alone now that my children are grown. The sidekick would certainly meet my small load needs. What great design!

  192. This is new to me, and a great idea from LG. Would love to have this to wash my delicates.

  193. Our machine is dying a slow death. Love that you can easily do small loads!

  194. So many of my blouses and sweaters are delicate and need special attention. They can’t just be thrown in with the regular wash loads. That takes more time and I just don’t seem to have much of that anymore. This washer seems like it would suit my needs perfectly.

  195. Would our ancestors be so jealous! We have a multgenerational family living arrangement and would be great for the elders, no reaching, what a great product!

  196. What a great idea! It would definitely come in handy for so many things. Thanks for hosting such a cool giveaway 🙂

  197. I am redoing my laundry room and trying to figure out what the best laundry set would be – love the sidekick!

  198. I would love a sidekick washer! Doing a small load would be wonderful! I have always loved LG products! Thank you for the chance to win!

  199. Oh! I would love the Sidekick! Like you, I started washing my personal items separately while raising three boys who played every sport, all year long. Living in the Pacific Northwest with all of our rain, that means a lot of mud! Mud everywhere, in everything! I just couldn’t wash my dainties with that so I started washing those separately. I still do even though the boys are raised and out on their own. I just have to keep them washed separately and they don’t really need a large washer. The Sidekick would be wonderful.

  200. SANITY would be a good reason to own a LG Sidekick. I often have delicates and one piece at a time pieces that need to be washed. Unfortunately there is usually a full load going. As a preschool teacher I often have a stain of one kind or another on my shirt, dress or pants that needs immediate attention….alas the big tub is full and do I really want to wash by hand? My husband is a musician and often needs a gig shirt washed in a hurry. This sidekick is so savvy that he would love using it!

    Cheers, Mary

  201. The LG SideKick would be perfect for those small loads especially for my husband’s fire department clothes that I don’t want to mix with ours! I can see the LG SideKick coming in very handy in my house with four kids and countless loads of laundry!

  202. As a single person the Sidekick would be so convenient. I always feel guilty washing just a few things at a time. Thank you for the opportunity to win this!

  203. I’m, that would be amazing! Not just because I do about two loads a day to keep up with the laundry from now having 4 kids, but also because the layout in our new house… Folks come in the side door to our launder room, or they have to go through it to get to the basement… And get this, it’s open to the rest of the house, basically at the end of an open hallway off of the kitchen… Dear goodness this is a win I would LOVE!! ??

  204. I would like to win it to give to my mom so she could save time/money/water. Instead of running her LG washing machine she could do mini loads in this.

  205. I hope I win. I have just a busy life with grandkids, painting and my cherry pit pillow business! Here’s to some happy washing and drying!

  206. This is so cool! I would also wash my more delicate items in the little washer, and probably for kitchen towels, since we cycle through them so quickly. What a great idea.

  207. I think this is amazing and a wonderful concept from LG. Between 3 kids and a husband, I am constantly doing laundry. The Sidekick would make doing laundry a little easier, and faster.

  208. Im in desperate need of new washer / dryer. If I won the washer could talk husband into dryer to have a new awesome set! I love the small loads for my delicates. This would be awesome!

  209. Omg would love to win this! We need a new washer and dryer as is. Ours came with our house when we bought it and we can’t ever seem to get the stinky smell out of our washer. Love the idea of the sidekick because lots of my clothes have to be washed separately as well. Would also be good for new clothing items that you wash alone for the first wash for fear of them bleeding onto your other clothes!

  210. i recently retired and started making quilts again. That second washer would be so handy for pre-washing fabric.

  211. I’m so excited about this! I love my LG, and that little Sidekick would be perfect for all my “vintage” laundry and small loads of favorite clothes that I want to wear again before I have a full load.

  212. I would love to win this! Right now we have a small capacity stacked washer and dryer and things for sure pile up when you have a little boy and you can only wash small loads because of the small capacity washer.

  213. A new washer and dryer would be great! With 3 stinky boys they are a necessity 🙂

  214. Omg! I’ve been lusting after one of these washing machines! I recently purchased a house and am trying to replace the major appliances. Really want this machine but right now it’s out of my budget.

  215. I think this LG sidekick mini washer is a brilliant idea. Must have been designed by a woman!!! It seems like every time I do laundry there is that little pile of items that can’t go in with the main wash. What a time saver to be able to get the entire wash done at one time.

  216. I would love one of these! My Maytag is 20 years old and not working as well as it used to.

  217. I love the idea of having the dryer at the bottom of the washing machine…what a great space saving idea…however, they only seem to sell LG washer dryer combos in the USA cant seem to find them in the UK or Portugal which is a great shame as my son and his family are looking for a new washing machine, there are 6 of them in the family and they live in a tiny house with a kitchen the size of most walk in wardrobes in the US!

  218. When 4 children were young and at home, we had 2 washers and 2 dryers. With 3 boys and our daughter, there was a LOT of laundry! This would have been awesome!

Like you, I own a ton of textiles. I am always washing in the sink (although, honestly, I can can wash smaller loads quite easily in my LG top loader. LOVE my LG washer and dryer! ) How nice this would be as an addition for washing delicates!! Of course I love the idea of getting 2 loads done at once!! Somebody is paying attention at LG. Love the blog!!!

  219. The Sidekick looks very handy. Like the idea of small load of delicates while HE is washing HIS clothes!

  220. I currently own an LG washer & dryer and love them. I love the idea of being able to do a small load and not being wasteful. Great idea!

  221. The LG SideKicker sounds wonderful.. I could have used it last night.. On my new white dress that I washed separately .. ?

  222. The SideKick is a wonderful idea! And tucked in your laundry room so efficiently! I would use it all the time!

  223. Wow, what a great machine! I would love to replace my 25 year old washer with an LG sidekick.

  224. Our washer and dryer just broke! With our family of nine, this would change life as we know it!

  225. I have looked at this washer and thought it was just a brilliant idea! How many times do you have just that one shirt or in my case, a small piece of fabric yardage I want to wash for quilting, but hate to use the whole washer? A woman must have thought of this one! 🙂

  226. I would Love to win this! With 3 boys, washing is never ending here.
I would use the side kick to wash my uniforms. I work as a cna in a nursing home.
Thank You for the chance to win!

    Sandi

  227. Wow! What a timesaver! LG is a solid brand and they are always thinking about the consumer. I would love to be able to start multitasking on the laundry, too!

  228. I would love to win one of these washers, to be able to do those small loads separately would be a multitasking dream come true.

  229. Brilliant idea! It would be wonderful to have a sidekick to wash my things in a separate vehicle from the construction clothes of the men in my household.

  230. I would love to own a sidekick because my family is always doing single outfit loads, and it’s such a waste – It drives me nuts! Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.
    Erin

  231. I’ve been doing the laundry mat thing far too long. I would love to have an LG front loader washing machine. multiple reasons. The LG receives a fantastic rating from Consumer Reports. The LG would make my life dramatically better. The biggest boost would be being able to was my exercise clothes in the attached smaller washer. I wouldn’t have to try and get laundry done at night or in the wee hours of the morning before work. It would be fantastic to be able to wash antique linens without worrying that they might rip. It would just be a huge help. Thanks for the opportunity.

  232. This is one of the best ideas in laundry I’ve heard! LOL I can’t believe I just typed that but it’s true! I have so many separate little piles of this and that waiting for a big enough load to wash, this little washer would be heaven.

  233. I saw these at the store the other day and thought that they were fabulous! Now I can wash delicates and my favorite clothes without risking them being damaged by jeans, etc in the larger machine. Plus, washing my boys uniforms daily during sports season will be a breeze!

  234. What a lovely giveaway. Such a great idea for the little things that need done. Plus it would inspire me to get the matching set.

  235. The possibilities!!! Very cleaver appliance. It’s pretty and very functional for all my washing needs.

  236. I’ve only heard great things about the lg sidekick. I love that it has special cycles and a Tub Clean cycle!

  237. Would love to win this for my daughter. She’s renovating a home and would love to have in her new laundry room

  238. This washer would be life changing for my family. I have an 8 year old son and a husband who’s job makes him very dirty. Often times I dread waging their whites because it isn’t a very large load even on the small load setting.

  239. I’m currently renovating a sweet little cottage in Nashville, TN from the 1940s. Would love to have this for our new laundry room!

  240. I have 3 small children and a new washer would be amazing to wash their clothes in and know they r clean!!!! I could use the LG SideKick to wash the babies clothes!

  241. we are adding to our family and the sidekick will be useful for the extra clothing.

  242. We desperately need a new washer & dryer…. The washing machine has a slow leak underneath that we just can’t figure out where it’s coming from. Time for a new set ASAP!

  243. Wow! We love LG products and I love being able to do two loads at once. This would make laundry day much more manageable so I don’t need to spend forever at the washing machine we have now.

  244. I’m in LOVE with everything about this LG! I would LOVE even more to replace my old set with an LG. Here’s fingers crossed xxxxxxxx

  245. LG products are so innovative. I love my LG counter depth refrigerator. Will be buying a washer/ dryer combo soon. Just remodeling my little cottage home. I plan on buying LG stove too! This little side kick is brilliant. Way to go LG!

  246. I need a new washer and dryer and LG has the best electronics! I too have looked at the comments and they always seem to get the best reviews. We are remodeling our whole house and winning the washer/dryer combo, would make the process easier and we could use that money to purchase a LG dishwasher and refrigerator. Would LOVE to have our home finished! I love my cell phone too!!!

  247. Ahhhhh would love to win! We are having our first child in September and this would help out a ton with washing cloth diapers and our clothes at the same time!

  248. I want to win because that is an awesome washer and I need to replace my current washer.

  249. Love the LG products we have, and are definitely in need of a new washer! (ours leaks and is too spending repair)

I’d use this like you do, all those wee extra little loads! ?

  250. I am in the market for a new washer and dryer and plan on getting an LG. Winning the sidekick washer would be great!

  251. Would love this for all those times I run my washer for a piece or two of clothing…my husband and I are empty nesters and if I would wait until I had a regular size load, my clothes would be out of season. This would be a real energy saver.

  252. The LG Sidekick would be perfect for those days when my thrifty trips yield just one blouse or pair of jeans. I hate running my regular machine for just one item, but I’m also a firm believer in washing an item as soon as I bring it home. Thanks so much for the giveaway!

    1. I have had many LG products & been pleased with all of them!
It would be a joy to win these as I have NO washer OR dryer.
      Thx.SO very much…in ADVANCE!

  253. That’s a great little feature to be able to do small loads. I don’t know how many timea I’ve had to wait to do my delicates because there’s not enough for a full load.

  254. Thank you for the giveaway! I’ve been looking at the LG as well and would love the sidekick for my workout stuff!

  255. Congrats on the new set. They’re pretty, too. Thanks for the contest!

  256. Love my LG washer & Dryer.
I always had been a Kenmore or Maytag fan but this LG….wow

  257. My washer is about a hundred years old and ready to quit, I wear linens all summer long and love the smaller washer on bottom – who knew.

  258. My 3 daughters have grown up and moved away which leaves my husband and I to follow our dreams which have been put on hold with the business of raising 3 girls. You might think we don’t need this type of washer, but I need it more than ever! My husband has special embroidered work shirts that require special care as well as my clothes which have special washing instructions. Also when the grand babies are with us, their clothes require different detergent. This washer would make washing clothes a pleasant experience and not a dreaded task. I would love this washer! Donna

  259. I would love to own the Side Kick because my washer is broken and it would save me a trip to the laundromat

  260. Wow! This is a great post and I am so glad you shared your experiences with the LG washer & dryer. I am curious if the sidekick washer can be used alone. I am considering purchasing a combo washer/dryer unit and am looking at all the reviews as this is a pretty big decision.

Thanks for the work that you do! I love your blog!

  261. I’m in the same boat as you; after I wash our big loads of laundry, I always have some special care items remaining that don’t merit a full load!

  262. What a great idea. I always have to wait for my delicates until I get a small load. This is ingenious.

  263. Love this washer and dryer would love to be able to wash more laundry at once and have more time to decorate and read your blogs 😉

  264. We need this! Such a great idea- with three kids this would be life changing!

  265. All the reasons you said-especially the one pair of jeans you really want to wear the next day and they’re dirty?

  266. I have a 25 year old washer dryer set and I too struggle getting laundry done. I would LOVE a new washer and dryer. I’m envious of your new toys.

  267. Why do I need a new washer and dryer? Because my set is over 20 years old!

  268. I would love to win a new set because our dryer is almost as old as I am (and I’m almost 42!) :).

  269. Sponsorship is all gleaming & I am thrilled LG has provided you the newest model. I have the Miele washer, dryer & dishwasher. Comparatively, Consumer Reports reveals the Miele can provide service for 30 years, yes, years! We have employed these appliances for 11 years now & I am thrilled to report the workmanship, quietness & efficiency are stellar. This is an option for other readers to consider when they are considering appliances. I do not have the benefit of sponsorship, I am a consumer with heavy use – entertaining mostly. Miele has been an investment in our home’s maintainence, care & efficiency. I recommend Miele & encourage your readers to consider this as N alternative.

  270. I wanna win this LG Side kicker so I can wash my mini loads of cotton / linen summer wear ..Thanks

  271. My washer AND my dryer are not working right now!! So this would be a PERFECT time to get a new set! Thanks for the giveaway!

  272. Our LG washer and dryer are awesome. We bought a set about 12 years ago. At the time I said repeatedly “is it wrong that I want to marry these appliances?” We just replaced the dryer in March and it’s even better!!! Can’t wait to get the matching washer. Oh and the sidekick is Just brilliant!!!!

  273. I need to win because: a) I am drowning in a sea of never ending laundry b)my laundry room needs a make-over and c)it’s just so cool!!!!!!

  274. I would love one because it would help my back. Bending into the top loading style is no longer practical.

  275. The sidekick sounds awesome! I can think of hundreds of times one of those would have come in handy!

  276. Would love to win theses.looked at them at the store, never thought I could actually have a chance to own them!good luck everyone

  277. I too dislike the fact that laundry is NEVER “done”! Would LOVE to experience this multitasking machine!

  278. Miss Mustard Seed, I can only dream of owning one of these mini-load washers. I always have a small load of unmentionables that I have to let pile up as there are too few to run a full cycle without feeling guilty. Thanks to you and LG for this opportunity! Fingers crossed!!!

  279. The sidekick would be well used in our busy household!! With two boys under 4 we always have lots of laundry going.

  280. What an incredible giveaway!!! Laundry is never ending at our house, and it would be so nice to add in the delicates alongside a normal load with this fun, sidekick feature! What a time saver that would be!

  281. The sidekick sounds so incredible! I would love one because my husband and I own a small business, Results Fitness & Nutrition Center. We have owned the business for almost 14 years. For the first 12 and a half years I washed all the towels for our business plus our personal laundry as well. All of this has been done with the same LG tron washer and it has eorked beautifully all these years with such a heavy commercial load. I no longer wash all the towels but still wash occasionally to save money. It is getting close to time to get a new washer and dryer, but I would love to save more money to help our business, plus….I love LG products. (Our refrigerator is LG too…12 years strong!)

  282. Would love to win these. I am on my 3rd washer in the last 8 years. No luck on one that will get laundry clean and hold up. This would actually make laundry fun. Need this. Good luck everyone!

  283. I love the LG Sidekick! It’s innovative, compact and looks so cute! I’m in the process of buying first home so this would be a perfect new home addition!! I’m super excited about the opportunity!

  284. I just bought an LG washer and dryer yesterday! Tell Abt they need to carry this!

  285. I believe these LG dream machines could actually make me enjoy doing laundry. It’s one chore I loathe! ?

  286. These are so great! We are in the market for a new set after Libby in an apartment for two years and looking for a home. Thanks for the info in these.

  287. I already own the LG Steam Fresh washer and dryer set in the platinum grey with the stands and just love them. I take down my linen drapes ever few months and run through the dryer with the steamer to get them fresh and dust free. The washer is a workhorse when it comes to bulky comforters and blankets. I also run all pillows through the allegiene cycle once a month. Also use the “tub clean” cycle at least every few weeks and keep the filter lint free. Can you tell I love to do laundry?? LOL

  288. My current washing machine is on it’s last leg! I would love to win this, it would help my family out tremendously as i’m constantly washing clothes for my family! Thank you so much for the giveaway opportunity

  289. Finally a washer that multi-tasks!! This would be great to help conquer the never-ending laundry pile!

  290. I would LOVE the LG sidekick mostly because there are many times where I only need a few things washed and don’t have enough to make a whole load of laundry. I have tons of sports bras, gym clothes, swimsuits, etc that need to be washed ASAP that can’t wait till a full load is ready because they will have the funk pretty soon. I need an LG sidekick!

  291. I used to struggle with laundry all the time. Then I learned to do one load today. I actually do on average two to three loads a day, believe it or not. It makes a huge difference and there’s never any backup or at least for the most part there’s not any backup unless I skip a day. There are two other secrets to keeping up on laundry: 1) I have 4 baskets in the linen closet to make sorting easier. Each item is put in the right basket after it’s removed. I have one basket for towels ( I use all white towels.), one basket for colors, one basket for darks, and one basket for special wash items. The second secret or tip is to have one clean basket that I hang in the laundry room. That means that anything that comes out of the dryer goes in the clean basket and it’s folded and put away before the next best dryer load is done. Those two things have made a big difference. I really don’t struggle anymore but that doesn’t mean I necessarily enjoy doing it, LOL.

Love the idea of a mini washing machine. I could see how that would be so handy for both special wash items and small loads like microfiber rags. Pretty photo.

  292. I have an LG washer, dryer, tv, French door fridge and mipany other LG items. So far I have been extremely happy with ALL of them. I would love to have a little Sidekick in my laundry for all those little loads and delicates.

    Thanks!

  293. They look awesome!! Love that little sidekick option. Thanks for the chance to win! 🙂

  294. Would love to win the sidekick. With 4 boys in the house mama needs her own washer without mud and dirt in it. ?

  295. My dryer shut off no longer works and my washing machine has to be turned on with plyers. But I have taught my 5 year old to fold the towels so he helps a lot during laundry.

  296. This would be awesome to win! I’m always stuck with a mini load of laundry.

  297. That is a genius idea. I have a lot of small loads and that would be such a savings for me.

  298. It would be very helpful for bras, panties, delicate items etc. I would love having the entire set

  299. Simply because I do not have a washer or dryer, and with two children, this is still considered a luxury for me during a transitional period in life.

  300. Sold our house in Kansas, moving to the great state of Texas! Part of the house sale was leaving our washer and dryer. I always have a small pile of laundry that gets washed, because it’s too small. The Sidekick solves this problem!!!

  301. I have a LG all-in-one washer/dryer which I love but could use a little help from the LG Sidekick!

  302. I would love to use it for delicates!

Thanks for the chance to win!

  303. This is amazing! I have 4 littles – between swimming, sports and just being a kid I have 10+loads a week. Being able to do a small load and get it done separately?! Genius!

  304. Our current washer is just a dud- would love to redo the laundry room with a new LG!

  305. It seems like half my laundry is a delicate load. I would love this washer with the smaller load washer at the bottom. Great idea!

  306. I just welcomed 3 new foster kids into my home. My laundry is out of this world!! I would really be able to use these!!!

  307. Love LG products and your blog !!! It is fun, useful and I just love to read it !

  308. I would love to win! I saw an advertisement for the LG Sidekick and fell in love. I know this would get a ton of use in my house.

  309. Wow that is genius!!! I am always doing fiddly little bits of laundry. I need one of these!!

  310. I need a new washer in the worst way and if I won the sidekick, my husband could not say NO to me buying the washer!

  311. I have never heard of such a think but it could really come in handy! Very nice!

  312. Awesome. I have teen daughters that like to wash one or two items at a time. This would be great for that!

  313. I, too, do antique linens so this would be perfect for our household!!

  314. I’m in the market for a new washer and dryer. The sidekick would be perfect for delicate loads and those small loads that I often have now that I’m an empty nester. No more wasting water for a few items or “saving up” to do a full load.

  315. I put LG appliances in my kitchen when we remodeled. Unfortunately, had to move across country so another person gets to enjoy them….

  316. This looks amazing! I had no idea washing machines could be so cool!

  317. Thank you for a chance to win! This is awesome! We always have delicate items to wash with laundry for 5 people (3 generations including 4 females) this would be a major time saver!

  318. I would actually consider doing laundry if I had these machines. I abhor that task- especially with an 8 month old daughter.

  319. Sweet! Although, I’d love this I’d gift for mom and dads home.
They need an update after flooding.
And, perfect for two with smaller loads and as you said for delicates and black clothing items.
I always wash black separate as does she.
Would be nice for antique linens too.
    Love the sidekick!

  320. Laundry is the nemesis of all… This is too awesome – laundry life-changer! Think of the ‘clean’ we could all unleash & be freed up to have the extra time we all so desperately need!

  321. Since my set is 10 years old we could definitely use a new set. Thanks for the chance.BTW you look adorable in that dress! Wish I was going to Haven, I’d love to meet you!

  322. Oh to have a new washer that is not bottom of the line! And a separate mini washer for delicates?? Marvelous idea! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  323. I would love a Side Kick to wash my husband’s biking spandex. Those things have to be washed separately! Also, I love your rug in your laundry area.

  324. Oh my!! That’s awesome!!!
    My washer has died! ?
The parts to fix it are $600.00!

  325. The addition for small loads is genius! I always have a few items that are brights or delicates and the side kick would be perfect!

  326. Love this, we just put this washer and dryer in our first house, we couldn’t afford the sidekick but I would love to own it! It’s the simple things like a washer and dryer that actually work, that make life so much easier!

  327. I absolutely love this washer. I could use a new washer my washer is an old Speed Queen on its way out!! Would go to great use with 8 grandchildren who love to play! Would be grateful to win.

  328. I could use this.mine went out and my husband he was injured in a motorcycle accident. He has been out of work for 8 years.Fingers crossed.mine was not LG.That would be a dreAm come true.Thank you miss mustard seed and LG for the chance to win.Have a blessed day.

  329. Yikes! I’d love to own this washer! You make it sound fun to do laundry in them. ?

  330. LG has great products that improve daily life. Thanks for the opportunity to have a piece of their technology!

  331. I definitely could use a new washer and dryer! I am a single mom who has struggled with old used washers and dryers and have always wanted an LG but could not afford one on my own! And having the sidekick would reduce my washing time and make washing clothes a pleasure!

  332. This would be perfect for my significant other and I to have in our new home!! I hate doing laundry because of all of my “small loads,” and this washer would remedy that!

  333. This would be awesome for when my husband needs his dress shirts (particularly his white ones 😛 ) cleaned!

  334. WOW ! I love this idea. It could be used for sooooo……..MANY different Mini loads. I live in Az. so saving water is VERY important. I’m also thinking this would be great in a “Tiny House” ? Thanks for the opportunity ! Hope I win !

  335. I’d love to win this washer! I have the same problem you do! My own little pile of things that need to wait or special clothes for the boys. I totally get it and how this washer would change all that. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  336. We’re going to be purchasing the LG dryer and I’d love to have this! This would be super great for our growing family 

  337. That Sidekick is amazing!!! And I completely agree, perfect to get all those little delicate loads done at the same time as the big ones!
Now LG just needs to come up with a folding machine – haha!

  338. Would love to win!
I love the way you decorate! I look at your site for inspiration in decorating and in life. Thank you!

  339. What an amazing product and giveaway! I actually need a new washer, like yesterday. My clothes are piling up and my washer gave up last week. This would be awesome to win!

  340. Thanks for sharing I hadn’t thought of how handy one of these could be! I too have a delicate pile waiting on laundry day!

  341. My neighbors have the LG washer / dryer and the sidekick and I love how it runs. I’m definitely planning on purchasing this! My kids go through loads of laundry and this seems like it has the perfect cycle for everyone!

  342. Ooooooo…the new washer and dryer look amazing! I’m in the market for a new set since mine is a gazillion years old! Thanks for your opinion on them. It helps in the search!

  343. Love this. I also have a special laundry pile!
Thank you for another wonderful give away.

  344. I’ve loved our LG appliances, I’d love to give this one a try 🙂

    demureprincess7(at)gmail(dot)com

  345. Yoo hoo! You are so right, Marion! This is just the ticket for multi-tasking. And a big improvement in just generally caring for our clothes better!

Thanks, Marion and LG for the generous give-away!

  346. Our 13 month old “commercial grade” washer broke and the warranty was up at 12 months. I am so frustrated as appliances should not be breaking this soon!!! We would be so blessed to have a washer.

  347. I need to do specialty loads all the time.. Sidekick would be great!

  348. I’m sure this would work much better than the set I have.. I hate them.. Thanks

  349. I’m a runner and am expecting my first little one, so this fouls be awesome for all the laundry in my future!

  350. With my family of six, we could definitely use this awesome washer and dryer!!

  351. I need this! I have two kids, and three large doggies that keep my washer running all day every day!

  352. I would love to win this set. We are renovating our forclosure on a tight budget and these would be a great addition. thanks !!!!!

  353. Love this!! And reading about this! Had no clue they made them. Thanks for the giveaway!

  354. My 87yo father lives with us and he can be as cranky as a toddler when his favorite pair of pj’s are not available at bedtime (usually because he’s stalled on taking a shower til 6pm……) so I imagine this would be handy to keep him from having meltdowns once a week.

  355. Oh I would be so excited to win this giveaway! I always, always have those tiny piles of “dainties” that just sit, and sit, and sit because I feel so wasteful running a load for those few items. Of course they’re always different colors, too, and can’t be washed together! Thanks for the chance to win.

  356. I’ve never owned a brand new washer/dryer set. It would be such a blessing to care for my family with a new appliance to help me better do so! ?

  357. This is a fantastic concept. I can’t number the times I would have appreciated this feature when doing laundry for my family that includes my 95 year old parents. Just perfect for those small loads that need a little extra TLC.

  358. I would love to own an LG SideKick to share with a special friend who currently must rent a machine. Maybe she would help me with my laundry!

  359. This would be so helpful. I can hardly keep up with the laundry my 4 boys create.

  360. I’ve been wanting to upgrade our set in our new house and this would be the perfect addition.

  361. What a nice give away!! It would make going down to my 1800’s basement a dream!!! Isn’t it funny how excited we get about new appliances! Count me in?

  362. I’ve heard so many great things about this LG washer and dryer set!

  363. My old washer and dryer are just about to give out and the LG Sidekicker would give me the flexibility we need with three girls in the house trying to do laundry on the same day. Not to mention that I like to wash my clothes differently than the kids. I’d also use this for short emergency cycles like when I need towels ASAP!

  364. Ahhhh…..a new washer! I dried a load of towels almost 3 hours this week! Guess I need a new dryer too 🙂

  365. I would love a dainty side kick for my dainties. 🙂

I’m a huge LG fan. I have the front load washer and dryer in red (totally goes against my beige-is-best personality). I bought them in 2008 and I had my first service call for my dryer last month – and it was a minor problem ($75 bucks). I wash a minimum of two loads per day five to six times per week.

I can’t wait until they make a side kick dryer…that’s when the cheering will get louder. Life’s Good!

    #LGsidekick

  366. I would love one for so many reasons. I have 4 kids and both me and my husband work. His hours have been cut drastically and our very used washer and dryer are on there last leg. We have never had a new one, we could never afford one.

  367. I would love to win the LG Sidekick, because it would be perfect for quick washes on my son’s freshly stained clothes.. Thanks for the chance!

  368. Thank you for the giveaway!!! it will be nice and efficient to have two loads at once! …delicates while the regular laundry is happening, love multitasking 🙂

  369. This would be so so so cool ! I have a special needs daughter and the thought of using this as her little washing machine would be so special 🙂

  370. What an innovative idea by LG to add a mini washer on the bottom-love it! That would definitely come in handy in our house! Great post!

  371. Would love to use the sidekick for delicates and for pre-washing my fabrics for sewing!

  372. I have had my LG washer and dryer for over 10 years. When the time comes I will definitely replace again with LG. I have been admiring the LG sidekick for a while since I wash most of my items separate from my boys.

  373. I would love to win the LG SideKick to do my small loads of laundry, like items that are colored red. Also, likened to Marian, I would put my bras and panties in there for my own separate load of laundry. Thank you for this opportunity to win!

  374. The minute I saw this…I wanted it. I hate running my washer without a full load, so I wait until I have “enough” reds and delicates. Hate that!

  375. I’ve had my current washing machine and dryer for almost 20 years. I’d love to have a new set!

  376. Now that our family has shrunk to two adults, I often have the need to wash just a couple of things in cold water. It’s either hand wash or wait till I have more items. The sidekick would be perfect for us!

  377. Everyone’s laundry needs in my household are different and this seems like the perfect solution!

  378. I would use it for the same reasons as Marian- I always have a small pile of delicates. This would be perfect for that!

  379. Have never actually gotten a brand new Washer / Dryer in all of my 66 years. Always have been either used or left in the home we purchased. Would love to join the 21st Century of washing clothes?

  380. I would love an LG sidekick because of its versatility. Multitasking is a way of life to ensure more quality time with family…I think your laundry area is so pretty and functional… Kindly, Chris

  381. Because I need a new washer, I’ve had mine for 20 yearsand it is about time.

  382. I have an LG washer and love it – the Sidekick would make it complete…
