Some of you may have seen on the news that we’re expecting quite the snow storm today. In OCTOBER. In PENNSYLVANIA! Now, if you’re in Colorado or somewhere like that, you may be rolling your eyes, becuase you just had a foot of snow and that’s totally normal. But it’s not normal in PA to get 5-9″ of snow in October. I have mixed feelings, because I love snow, but it is putting a cramp in my plans a bit. At least the ground is warm, so the roads won’t be bad.
Yesterday was all about photo shoots. I had three on my to-do list…one of them was for HGTV.com and another was for Cottages and Bungalows. Here’s a peek at that one…
This may be my favorite shoot for them so far. The farm table from October is a very close second, though.
I usually use my dining room for photo shoots, because it has great light and the furniture is all on sliders, so it’s easy to move around when I’m by myself. I thought I would show what the rest of the space looks like during a shoot…
Pretty funny, isn’t it? Definitely not very “photo worthy.”
Anyway, my husband and I are headed to Lucketts today with the van stuffed full of furniture, accessories and some Christmas stuff. I was going to wait until Thursday to put it all together, but it works out better to do it today and just add the finishing touches on Thursday. I’m coming down the home stretch with the open house and some freelance jobs I’ve had on my plate and I can’t wait to take a day to get a professional massage and just chill out. By the time I get relaxed, though, Mamma Mustard Seed will be here and the pace will pick right back up again. Well…such is my life.

Is it on purpose that you have resent and changed you RSS-feed? It no longer shows the full post, only the first lines and the posts from last week has been resent…
While I do understand that you want traffic to you site, I follow many blogs and I do not want to click on each and every site… so I am desperately hoping that you will turn on the full RSS-feed again. Please?
I love your blog and would love to keep reading it!
Yes, I’m going to try to fix that. Thanks for the feedback, ladies. 🙂
Ummm…I just do blogger and it looks like it is all coming through for me. When I hit Dashboard it shows up along with all my other blogs. xo Diana
Love the new site. And what a great line on the chalkboard!
The new format looks great! My only request/suggestion is to nix the part where you have to fill out your name, email and web site to leave a comment.
Continued success, Barbara@thetreasuredhome.com
LOVE wordpress,I can comment now. 🙂 my not-smart phone refuses to do blogger. Love your pix! Oh and @Barbara, you only have to do it once! wp remembers you…all good wishes! -s-
I’m with the first commenter, none of the pictures are showing up in my Google Reader. 🙁 It’s just a few lines and an ad underneath. No pictures, either. 🙁 This is one of my favorite blogs to read, but if I have to come here separately that would be disappointing!
Thanks for bringing that to my attention, ladies. I want reading my blog to be super easy, so I’m going to get that fixed. Another reader offered a good solution to that. Thanks!!
I think I fixed it so the full post will show up in feeds. Let me know if you’re not seeing that with the next post.
Thank you! 🙂
Love your new look and site! I am in North Carolina – going to see how far I am from Luckett’s. It sounds amazing.
I love that you use your real dining room for shoots! Thanks for sharing a behind-the-scenes peak 🙂
BTW – I’ve been reading your posts faithfully using my MMS app but can’t figure out how to comment when reading them that way!
Looks great from here!
Hope you don’t get piled on with too much snow.

I visit your blog daily…..Where do you get the sheet music and the vintage paper?? I’m still waiting on the Lucketts Holiday photos after the open house (I think that is what it is called) 🙂
O my goodness…I am so excited!!!! I found you on hgtv, com as I was looking for backyard picnic table ideas for fall. As I googled ‘fall backyard picnic table ideas’ it led me to HGTV.com and then I clicked on the picture, which reminded me of Miss Mustard Seed…and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! It was YOU!!!! I will send you a picture…it’s nothing like what you would do…however, I found some pieces in my storage area that I hadn’t utilized in a while…THANK You! Here is the link:

Miss M. S.,
I was just in Atlantic for the Country Living Fair & I found a spread in a local market that looks just like that only its called Biscoff, like the cookies from the airplane. I wonder if its the same thing & if so, can I just say, heaven in a jar?! Delish! Will be looking for more as soon as its gone!
Love what you do, BTW!
Your photo shoots are my absolute favorites. You come up with the most tasteful, lovely vignettes – I’m always inspired. Thank you.
You have uploaded a great resource.
