Pine Cone Hill 20th Anniversary Bed & Giveaway

I mentioned earlier this week that a big giveaway was coming up…the biggest one I’ve ever had on my blog.  Well, this is it.

I started working with Pine Cone Hill and Dash & Albert a few years ago when they sent a rug to borrow for my home office makeover.  It was being photographed for Flea Market Style magazine and they asked me to pick out a rug with some pop.  I fell in love with that rug and was able to purchase it after the shoot.  From that point on, I’ve partnered with Annie Selke companies for various things.  They outfitted my new master bedroom bed not long ago and have sent me some beautiful rugs, pillows and poufs for various photo shoots and makeovers.

When Pine Cone Hill asked me to design a bed to feature in the month of October to help them celebrate their 20th anniversary, it was a no-brainer.  I have never had such luxurious, comfy and beautiful bedding in my life.  And I had a great time putting together products for the “Miss Mustard Seed Bed”.  I picked them out with my guest room in mind and here’s what I came up with…

Yeah, they actually styled my picks in their studio!  That was pretty exciting to see.

And here’s how it looks in my guest room (although, I added an antique quilt and a bolster wrapped in vintage red work)…

The Ibiza French Blue pillow was the first thing I picked.  It has my name written all over it, so I wasn’t putting a bed together without including that!

 The Petite Ruffle White Set was the next pick.  You just can’t go wrong with white sheets and I loved the little detail that is feminine, but not too frilly.

I was head over heels for the Seychelles Dove White Quilt and added that to the list.  This has been my favorite pick and, in fact, I stole this quilt for my own bed.  It has the most amazing texture and it’s the perfect weight.  It has some weight to it, but isn’t too warm.

With all white picks and just some blue stripes on the pillow, I wanted to add a pop of a warm color.  I browsed through their quilts, matlasses and duvet covers.  Finally, this one caught my eye…

It’s the Uma Resist Gold Quilt.  It reminded me of antique provincial quilts from France and the rich gold played well with the French blues and raspberry reds I have in the guest room, so it was the winner.

I selected the Dobry Woven Cotton Rug to tie all of the colors of the bedding and my buffalo check curtains together.

There are a few other pieces that I picked for the feature bed, but didn’t use in my guest room and those are the Candlewick Curry Shams and the Louisa White Bedskirt.

 So, how is this the biggest giveaway on my blog ever?  Pine Cone Hill is not giving away a gift card or a sheet set or a pillow.  They are giving away the entire look I designed for this bed.  The sheets, quilts, shams, decorative pillow…everything!  The entire look!  I didn’t do all of the math, but it’s over $1000 in luxurious bedding to outfit your bed.  I’m so, so excited I get to run such a generous giveaway and it’s one of the reasons I accepted this gig.

  2396. I am in LOVE with the gold quilt and shams! I have been trying for ages to find a beautiful white “base” quilt in all white (but not to frilly) this is a prefect combo!

  2397. I love how the colors work together. The white makes the orange really pop on the quilt. I also love the blue lines on the pillow and it reminds me of the beach. 🙂
