I can’t express how loved and supported I have felt this week from all of the e-mails and comments you have flooded me with. It has all meant so much and has encouraged me and made me feel connected with all of you in a way that seems more real somehow. Like you’re all really out there…not just numbers that add up on the analytics dashboard. That’s just one of the sweet things that has come out of all of this and it’s really awesome. Thank you.
So, in keeping with trying to get back to normal, I picked some favorites from last week’s FFF. I can’t tell you how ready I am to get a paint brush in my hand. I feel like I’ve been planning to paint for weeks and other things keep popping up. I’m hoping next week will be the week. That horse is calling my name. Anyway, here are the favorites…
Would you believe this bench was found on the side of the road? Well, you would if you knew the seat was bug infested. That didn’t deter Anneke from This, That & Life and her husband from replacing the infested parts and fixing it all up. The pine finish and chippy paint were definitely worth the effort!
Okay, I’m a little biased on this one, but I just love this sweet dresser painted in MMSMP Apron Strings. DD from DD’s Cottage & Designs did an amazing job refinishing the top and gave this piece just the right amount of distressing. I also love the quirky mis-matched knobs.
Lastly, I think this chair by Mimi of Blue Roof Cabin is so fun and unique. The cluster of flowers on the back is just the right touch of glam and whimsy without being too frilly or silly. Very creative, Mimi!
Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…
1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.
2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.
3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF. Enjoy the party!

Hi,
Thank You very much for featuring my Apron Strings Dresser, I love your colors! I now have many clients who want me to paint pieces in that color! I have desk in my car as we speak waiting for Apron Strings. I love reading your blog!
Thanks,
Darrielle
I have just gotten caught up on the very difficult week you’ve had and I wanted to throw in my two cents of encouragement. I have been having a rough patch myself and finally am feeling that I have turned a corner emotionally. The tough things are still there to deal with but I have been making a concerted effort to take care of myself. I know all your focus is on taking care of your little guy (as is mine as well as worrying about a seriously ill father). However, if you are going to be good for the long haul, and kids with any kind of issue is a long haul, you need to keep replenishing your own stores. I knew all the things I should be doing, but I waited until I felt truly depleted to do them. Be kind to yourself, give yourself grace (and naps when you need them), exercise, eat right, seek out friends who can lift you up. Perhaps you are doing all these things already, but I know it is so easy to let all this fall by the wayside when we are caring for a loved one in need. Your blog is one of the things that nourishes me and spending time looking at your lovely rooms has soothed me and inspired me to look beyond this current season and maybe do a few small things now. I have gone way back in you blog and found the tutorial for moss balls in silver bowls. That’s next on my list to try. So, in addition to some unasked for advice, this is a thank you for being part of my therapy. Hang in there, you have welcomed so many into your home and in return you’ve made your way into our hearts. I am praying for you and your family.
I’ve learned, not in an easy way, that life changes become the life lived and its ok, just takes some planning, work, reorganizing, and lots of guts and it will be the new normal. Not easy, not quick but it will be ok. Love to you and your sweet family as you all succeed in the changes to your lives.
Thank you always for hosting Furniture Friday Marian.

I know I’m a total stranger, but sending thoughts and prayers for you and your family:-) Knowing you are all in the shadow of His wings…
There is several milk paint lines popping up here in Atlanta, are they all similar? When I try it I will definitely use your line, because I resonate with your beliefs and values. Also I am praying for your son and your family especially you for wisdom and comfort and healing. One more note, I love the pop of coral in the office rug, I have a very similar rug I found at a yard sale for $20, it is a karistan. The coral pillow will look great!
Love that chair! Thanks for hosting.
Gorgeous pieces! Have a wonderful weekend Marian!
Thanks so much Marian for the feature, What a great surprise for me today! Thanks for hosting! Lovin those other features I think I need to get my hands on some apron strings, I haven’t tried that one yet ;).
