There’s a special place in my heart for Frog Tape and the people I’ve worked with there. When I was just an itty-bitty-brand-new-fresh-faced-blogger, I wrote this post about using Frog Tape for a project. I hated painter’s tape and stopped using it entirely. I could do a better job cutting in by hand than dealing with the bleed-under that ALWAYS happened to me. So, when I saw a Frog Tape display at Sherwin Williams, I was curious, but skeptical. I asked if it really worked and they assured me it did, so I bought a roll and shared my experience on my teeny-weeny blog. (I think I had less than 100 followers at that point.) Anyway, the people at Frog Tape took notice and reached out to me.
They became my first sponsor and have supported me in so many ways from shipping me boxes of free tape to give away at the Lucketts Antique Market and my MMS Milk Paint workshops to inviting me to be a “spokesblogger” for their brand.
I’ve showed many ways to use Frog Tape over the years like…

labeling disassembled chandelier parts…

taping off walls when grouting..

giving a clock face a new look…

…and more. (You can check out all of my Blog Squad posts HERE.)
But the time has come for me to focus on promoting my own brand and products and to officially step down as a spokesblogger for Frog Tape. I say “officially”, because you had better believe that I’ll still be using Frog Tape whenever the occasion arises and it is still a brand I will talk about, link to and support. (I may even still be able to get some rolls to give away at Lucketts this year!) It’s a product I really love and I hope that my partnership with them over the years has inspired you and given you some creative ways to use Frog Tape for your DIY projects.
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post brought to you by Frog Tape. As with most occasions when I use Frog Tape, I used it and then thought, oh, I can blog about this! The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.
On a different note, you ladies have kept me super busy today with The Mustard Seed Pages! With well over 200 posts in one day, I would say our “grand opening” was a success. Many items have sold already, which is very exciting. I’ve been snooping around and found some great listings still available like this ironstone bowl for $24, a white ironstone pitcher for $34, some European grain sacks for $50/each and some amazing furniture like this cane top table and French cane chair set for $400 (these chairs look a lot like the ones in my dining room.) I would encourage you to browse around. There are so many goodies.

Aaaargh! I brought Frog Tape for painting the trims of our doors, finishing an ongoing outstanding project, thinking it would speed it up and make it easier if it guaranteed clean edges! To my horror, as I was applying the first strip of tape and adjusting it – sectioning it off from around the door frame – it tore that paint work to shreds!??? what did I do wrong!? Luckily, I saw the damage it was doing as I applied the first strip, otherwise I could have happily edged all five doors, and found out after it was too late the damage it would have done!
Any chance the area (I’m assuming the walls around the door casings) wasn’t properly primed? If not, the paint will often just peel away from whatever it was on … So sorry your project hit a bump and hoping you found a work-around.
Hi…I have always hated bleed marks too from frogy tape…BUT hands down the YELLOW frog tape is so much better. I can’t say enough about from green to yellow!
Thanks…love your blog
Linda
I love Frog Tape, too. The yellow is my own personal favorite. And I received the chevron tape at Haven and have used it a bunch.
With regard to Mustard Seed Pages – just wondering if I am missing something. I cannot seem to find the link to buy on any of the listings that I click on. Can you please advise? Thanks!
I have used Frog tape twice….nightmare…..I too usually cut in or my husband with the steady hand does…when removing tape shortly after painting…pulled paint off…why bother to use it and pay….it is not cheap.
Veronica….try the red block on the right near the top where is says Mustard Seed Pages
I have no way to purchase from the Mustard Seed Pages either. I even opened it in two different browsers in case one of the browsers was not working.
Now I see where you need to contact the seller. I was looking for a cart or something. Thanks.
I’m a huge fan of Frog tape. There are two things I cannot live without (home decor and DIY-wise) – a tape measure and a Frog tape! Even though I’ve learned that it doesn’t work quite well on certain surfaces, the tape did its magic on most of my projects. I’m so excited you are moving onto the next phase. Looking forward to following along on your journey!
I use frog tape on all of my projects. it does a fine job. I’ve never had a problem with it, so I’m still a fan.As for the blue tape, thats another story, it pulls from the roll in pieces,as well as being pulled from a project.I so enjoy you sharing your journey….
I have used Frog tape when painting walls and have had no problems. But where I use it the most, and love it, is when I’m doing machine embroidery, holding down the water soluble topping. Never leaves a trace of residue. Ever. I love Frog tape!
Ditto on the blue tape comment.
I love Frog Tape, and I must admit, I found about it thanks to you, Marian. I don’t even know how many rolls of it I used this past summer, painting the interior of our new/old house. I still have one more room to go, plus a bunch of furniture to refinish, so you betcha I’ll be using Frog Tape again.
As for the Mustard Seed Pages, I contributed to those 200 adds. 🙂
Hope I’ll be able to find one or both of the pieces I am looking for. Great start for the MSP!
Hi! I was wondering a few weeks ago I ordered some hemp linen from you and even seen a white conformation sheet after I summited my order and I still have not received it. Just wondering if you could check and make sure it did go through. Thank you and I enjoy your website so much. You are great inspiration, have a great night!
I would probably not have used Frog Tape if I had not seen it on your blog. I didn’t read all of the other comments but I really like it. I taped it all over the family room that we just redid and didn’t have any problems with it. It held together and released super easy. I’m a fan.
Marian,
I just wanted to THANK YOU for opening up a place for your followers to sell items.
Again you have shown us how gracious and big hearted you are. God Bless you, your family and business.
Diane
We just painted our newly renovated kitchen and used Frog Tape for the very first time rather than another blue tape. We loved the green tape! It really did come create sharp line and protected our new cabinets.

I was wondering if you approached Frog Tape as a sponsor or did they find you. As a new blogger, I am wondering how this works. By the way I love your slipcover ideas. I have often repinned on Pinterest. Thanks for the inspiration.
