FURNITURE FEATURE FRIDAY – Favorites & Link Party

Good evening, all!  I didn’t have a chance to pick favorites last week, so I made sure I looked through the entries from last week to pick those that stood out to me.  Here are the ones that caught my eye…
Oh, a quick note.  We’re working on not having the “Pin it” buttons on the link party.  I definitely want people going to your sites to see your beautiful work and pinning what they like from there.  Until we get that figured out, please click on the picture, not the red “pin it” button and that will take you to the original source.  Thanks!
Jill at Sew a Fine Seam can definitely sew!  I love the two slipcovers she made in this post and she even shares a tutorial.  I know slipcovers seem so intimidating, but they are very doable and a bench with simple lines like this are a great place to start!
I love, love this pretty yellow piece by Leilouta.  The chipping is perfect and the hand painted boarder suits the style of the piece.  Did I say I love this piece?  I do.
I think this pink piece by Mary of Orphans with Makeup is so sweet.  The wood top adds a nice contrast along with the dark hardware.  Even though it’s pink and perfectly at home in a little girl’s room, it will grow up nicely as well.
Fit for a little princess!
Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…
1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.
2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.
3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF. Enjoy the party!

  1. Thanks for the feature Marian! It was so fun working with Laura in her delightful shop where she sells your paint! I learned some great tips from her in the paint workshop I did with her and I also met Geodele there too! Great times 🙂 Also wanted to say I love your new profile photo – you are such a cutie!

  2. Yikes!! I linked to my blog’s home page in Link # 28 (DIY Kitchen Island, Thinking About Home). I don’t know how I did that, as I know the deal. Blah.

Anyway, I don’t see how to remove the faulty one. Feel free to remove it for me! (I re-linked…#106.) Sorry for the snafu!

  3. I like the “pin it” button because more often then not, I post to Pinterest. It makes it so much easier then having to save it in my iPhoto’s and then pulling up my boards and then deleting the picture. I guess everyone can’t be pleased..I love your blogs….

  4. MMS — question for you. I’m getting ready to do some sprucing up in my home. Several pieces are waiting for special treatment with your milk paint. Also I want to do some slipcovers, pillows etc. However my old Singer isn’t up to the challenge of the thicker fabrics. I thought once upon a time that I saw where you have posted some information about your sewing machine but I can’t find that post now…of course. Could you possibly post a little information about your machine again?

You truly, truly do inspire me…

  5. Lot’s of lovely inspiration for me to look at. I have just completed my own ‘first’ project with Chalk paint, I hope to feature it next week, I am thrilled with the results. Today, I am sharing one of my readers makeovers, she lives in Wellington, New Zealand and has made over some side tables.

I find your blog so inspiring and your photography is beautiful.
