Furniture Feature Friday – Jessica’s Favorites & Link Party

Tonight I am hanging out with Shaunna (and a bunch of other cool girls) at Haven. so I’ve asked Jessica of Dear Emmeline to pick some favorites for me.  Here they are…
Every week I am so amazed by the creativity and style of all the pieces linked up.  This week is no exception!  Furniture painting really is an art form as evidenced by the three features this week.
Oh my!  This navy, white, and gold credenza by Kelly at A Swell Place To Dwell has my heart a fluttering!  So clean, crisp, and styling.  Perfectly regal and evoking maritime nostalgia.  Don’t you just feel like you’re looking at a captain on a long ago military ship?  Minus all the yucky aspects of military and sailing life of course!
Furniture Makeover. Navy blue, white and gold credenza from www.aswellplacetodwell.com
All things boy room have been catching my eye while I’m working on the plans for my son’s room redo.  Kristy from Robb Restyle did a fabulous job painting this fun number dresser for her son’s sports themed bedroom.  I personally think her choice of green was perfect.  Green always makes me think of outdoor fun like baseball, football, and golf!
I was so intrigued by this aviator desk from Jourdan at Little Yellow Barn!  It definitely makes an artistic statement and it’s clear how much time, care, and, talent went into creating this one of a kind piece.  I’ve never heard of Metal Coating Paint but it sounds like a fun medium to work with!

If you want to see more pieces that really caught my eye this week, I pinned a collection of them on my painting-refinishing-reupholstering Pinterest board with MMS 7/26 in the comments

Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…

1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.

2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.

3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF.

Enjoy the party!

  1. interesting change from the usual cutesy stuff (not that I mind the cutesy….just that there are so many other styles out there and these three depict that well! ) Good job

    1. Hi Kathryn! So glad you noticed that I tried to include a varied selection of pieces that caught my eye! The thing I love most about furniture refinishing is the endless possibilities and have found that even if a piece isn’t “your style” or preferred colors that it can still give so much inspiration to be translated into your own style! I for one find so much inspiration, ideas for techniques and design, and color therapy from a wide array of styles. 🙂

  2. Hey! This is my first time linking up to your party and want to let you know, I am having a BLAST! 😉 I am new to all of this website/blog/linky “stuff” and have my very first linky party coming up Tuesday so here is your formal invite: Tute’s Tuesdays at UpcycledAntiques.com. Thank you and I can’t wait. P.S. I am having a hard time figuring out which was my favorite feature you did from last week, but I keep going back to the how-to metal coating (what REALLY caught my eye were the army men hanging off the propeller-think I am going to have to steal some of my little one’s toys for this one) 😉

  3. It is perfect time to make some plans for the future and it’s time to be happy. I have read this post and if I could I want to suggest you few interesting things or tips. Perhaps you can write next articles referring to this article. I wish to read more things about it!

  4. Always love to see the things that are linked up! Thanks! (just wanted to mention this…there is a majorly irritating pop-up on your site. You basically have to “catch” it to “X” out of it. It keeps popping up to the top of the screen so it’s really hard to catch the x on it. Maybe it’s just me? Maybe it’s my piece of junk computer. But it’s only ever happened on this site. It think it’s a survey? Please disregard if it’s just me! 🙂

  5. I like the helpful info you provide in your articles.
I’ll bookmark your blog and check again here regularly. I am quite certain I will learn many new stuff right here! Best of luck for the next!

  6. We have in this day and age a great tool called the ‘internet’, and I’m going
to show you where to pick up your Obey items at significant discounts.

  9. I have been browsing on-line greater than three hours nowadays,
yet I by no means discovered any attention-grabbing article like yours.
It is pretty price enough for me. In my opinion, if all website
owners and bloggers made excellent content material as you did, the web can be much
    more useful than ever before.

  10. Hi I am so glad I found your site, I really found you by error, while I was looking
on Yahoo for something else, Nonetheless I am here now and
would just like to say kudos for a remarkable post and a all round enjoyable blog (I also
love the theme/design), I don’t have time to read
it all at the minute but I have bookmarked it
and also added your RSS feeds, so when I have time I
will be back to read more, Please do keep up the awesome
    job.

  11. This is the right webpage for everyone who wishes to understand this topic.
You understand so much its almost tough to argue with you (not that I actually would want to…HaHa).
You certainly put a new spin on a subject that’s been discussed for
    years. Wonderful stuff, just wonderful!

  14. Howdy! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform
are you using for this site? I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had
problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform.

I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a
    good platform.

  15. I am not sure where you are getting your information,
but good topic. I needs to spend some time learning more or understanding more.
