Master Bathroom Preview

Well, I was up until 1:00 in the morning, but it’s finished!  Well, most of it.  If it didn’t need to be in the photo shoot, it didn’t get done.  My motto over the past couple of weeks has been, “I’ll do it in the fall.”  It’s just been a crazy summer, but we’re getting through it.  My freelance articles have been turned in and tomorrow morning I’m off to Haven.

So, I have lots of great pictures of our new master bathroom to share, but I’m going to put together a big reveal post with the resources, before & after pictures, etc.  Tonight, I’m just going to share a preview.

I also tried out some new photography tricks and I am thrilled with the results.  I’ll share everything soon…

The winner of the National Builder Supply Giveaway is…  Rebecca O.

And the winner of Barb Blair’s (autographed) book and swag bag is…  Lindy Miller.  Congratulations, girls!

  1. It’s like knowing you are going to the candy store (or antique shopping) but you don’t know when you’ll make it in the door!! Photos look beautiful and I know you are thrilled to have it finished. Blessings to you on your journey to Haven. Hurry back we want more MMS.

  2. Hi there! I’ve been looking at your web site and I LOVE your house!!! Would you PLEASE tell me the color that you used on your living room/dining room walls? I am desperate to paint my kitchen the right color and I think that your color might do the trick. Thank-you SO much!! Jill

  3. The preview of you bathroom looks amazing. I’m loving the cotton swab holder! It’s all the small touches that you add to your spaces and projects that make us all love your work so much…enjoy Haven

  4. Congratulations Lindy and Rebecca!!!!
Marian, Your bathrooms looks so crisp and clean! I really love all the white. Then you add a little pop of color which makes it all look even better!

  5. Simply BEAUTIFUL! Awaiting the full reveal… any significance in the time set on the clock, or is that when you set it into overdrive? Can already tell from this ‘preview’ that you guys rocked this project out of the park. HAVEN = hopefully breathe/relax/enjoy ‘you time’

  6. I cannot wait to see the reveal! I am loving the beadboard among so many other things! I have the same soap dispenser (I think) from Target. Mine is going back, after about 30 pumps you have to open it up & pull it out almost like it needs air! Too frustrating! Hoping it’s just a flaw in mine!
    See you at Haven tomorrow!

  7. Oh I cant wait! what you’re showing in the preview is beautiful. Have fun at Haven.

  8. You inspire me to decorate my home for my family in a way that is comfortable for us. I so need more bathroom storage . Looking forward to the reveal. Have a blessed trip !

  9. Your styling is just so beautiful. Well, it all is actually. The finishes are lovely and the pictures turned out fantastic! I remember you saying the lighting in there wasn’t great, so I am excited for you to share more about the photography with us.

The soap dispenser from Target is a personal favorite. We have the clear one in our master bath, the green in the guest bath, and the pink in my daughter’s nursery to dispense hand sanitizer. 🙂

    Have a wonderful trip, Marian!

  10. I love the soap in the big jar! I don’t know why, but storing soap is usually not a cute thing. But I love that. Can’t wait to see more.

  11. I love your taste! I’ve been trying to visualize some shelving in my bathroom, and boom! There is your gorgeous new bathroom with the perfectly styled shelves. Yay! Thanks, Marian.

  12. The little peeks are amazing! Looking forward to seeing the whole thing and would love to know the photography tricks. We are starting to gut and remodel out master bath and there is on high window. Trying to take pictures in there is almost impossible.

  13. Love it! Can’t wait to see the rest of it. You have a great talent for taking a classic element and making it look both classic, country and modern at the same time.

  14. Marian, it was a pleasure meeting you…(I was the lady in BWI). safe travels to Atlanta. Love the master bath!!!!

  15. Oh, you are such a tease, Marian! 🙂
All of those details look wonderful, and I can’t wait to see the whole bathroom.
Hope you have a great time at Heaven…

Oh, and congrats, Rebecca and Lindy!

  16. The bathroom looks beautiful . I would have been up until 1pm to finish it , too. I love your blog about your decorating. You live in a “normal” size house and show how well it can look. You have inspired me to work on my dining room. It is blah, to me. When will your home be featured in HGTV?

  17. It looks absolutely AMAZING.. Love all of your ideas . Cant wait for the before and after pics!!

  18. It looks awesome! I love everything…can’t wait to see more! It must feel good to have it all completed, esp. before you head off to Haven. 🙂 I keep thinking…her husband must truly be amazing to be so involved in making this project a reality. I know you do a ton of work, but I’m guessing he helps a lot too? What aspects of the bathroom are more inclined to him? My husband wouldn’t mind if everything was prettied and me so much, but it would have to be logical for him too and meet his needs…I have no doubt this is the case with you two…just thought I’d ask out of curiosity! We aren’t close to remodeling a bathroom, but I like to think about it for future reference! 😉

    Blessings, Gail

  19. Exquisite photos! and i love the pop of color the orangey roses add to it all. How exciting to have a beautiful, fresh new bathroom. Can’t wait to see the whole reveal!
